The scriptures say,
“Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”” Hebrews 13:5
“It is a trustworthy statement: if any man aspires to the office of overseer, it is a fine work he desires to do. An overseer, then, must be above reproach… free from the love of money.” 1 Timothy 3:1-3
“For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.” 1Tim 6:10
“But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money…” 2 Timothy 3:1-2
“Those who love money will never have enough.” Ecclesiastes 5:10
“Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, were listening to all these things and were scoffing at Him. And He said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves in the sight of men, but God knows your hearts; for that which is highly esteemed among men is detestable in the sight of God.” Luke 16:14-15
Leading up to the Kuala Lumpur Conference in 2011 last year, was this advert. Do you think C3 or Phil Pringle care about the scriptures and the words of Jesus?
The below C3 advert starts off with the following:
“Join our panel of Leaders who shine in their fields as they answer questions and share their tips & wisdom to help your team be at their best – an opportunity not to be missed!”
In this promo they advertise Phil Pringle speaking. Do you think Pringle will be preaching “the gospel: Jesus Christ. Beginning and end”? He has did say that “I got no other message then that one.” Do you think they are going to promote Pringle as the representative of Jesus Christ as the head of the C3 movement?
“We couldn’t think of anyone better to speak on raising money than our very own Ps Phil Pringle.” – vision2020kl, Smells Like Team Spirit!, http://twitpic.com/5elp15, image modified 21/06/2011 3:28:26PM. (Accessed 22/06/2011)
Judas also loved money.
The reason Christians and non-Christians are invited to attend is because it’s a leadership conference based on Biblical principles much like Catalyst conferences or Orange conferences. At 1:02 he isn’t saying “invite your business friends because we want their money” he’s saying “invite your business friends so they can network and meet other businessmen and grow their network worldwide… oh and also learn about JESUS”. Also, come on… he isn’t encouraging sex when he says “hook up” he means just get together. Give me a break
‘[…] it’s a leadership conference based on Biblical principles […]’
The Pharisees and Teachers of the Law based their “leadership” on “Biblical principles”, too. That’s the reason they had no authority, just as Phil Pringle has absolutely no authority – because “Biblical principles” is simply shorthand for the vain religion and empty words of babbling idiots who neither know God nor are known by him.
‘At 1:02 he isn’t saying “invite your business friends because we want their money” he’s saying “invite your business friends so they can network and meet other businessmen and grow their network worldwide […]’
It’s a little-known fact that prior to Jesus giving the sermon on the mount, He likewise explicitly requested that people invite their ‘business friends’, because ‘growing [one’s business] network worldwide’ is what’s really at the heart of the Gospel. Isn’t that right, Zack?
