Let the preacher do the talking. We were gob-smacked.
Didn’t people realise Pringle was talking about THEM in his meetings in services like they were in? It was THEM that triggered him to talk about how to manipulate people. (Emphasis mine.)
“You know every meeting I’ve been in, THIS PRESENCE. Like, you guys are at a whole new level. There’s no doubt about it. When we’re looking for extra seats in the night meetings. . . And everybody’s like hair-triggered excited. You go to another level of thirst. Suddenly, THE THIRST OF THE PERSON NEXT TO YOU GETS TO YOU. Now I want to tell you something…” – Phil Pringle, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=21UnCWm7eO0&feature=player_detailpage#t=9s, 13/04/2012.
Phil said: “Build your own building, and you can sit where you want”.
Does the building belong to you Phil? Did you pay for it? You didn’t pay for it, did you Phil? The congregation paid for it, didn’t they? And who builds the church Phil? Do you build the church? God builds the church, doesn’t he? And to whom does the glory belong Phil? It belongs to God, and to God alone, doesn’t it Phil?
So the congregation paid for the building, and God is the one who builds the church, and it is God to whom all the glory belongs. It’s not yours, Phil, not any of it – not the building, not the church, and certainly not the glory. Of course, you think that it’s all yours, don’t you? And that’s because you are an arrogant, self-absorbed impostor. You are not so much as a pastor’s bootlace – you are an absolute disgrace to the Kingdom of God.
Brazen!!!!! He has the most seered conscience I have EVER seen in a wolf.
I don’t know…a bit of a clumsy story, and he’s obviously going for the laughs, but I do see his point to a certain degree. It’s like the scriptures say, “Iron sharpens iron”. You sit someone who is not into, say, worshiping with their hands raised or whatever, next to someone who is, and the chances are that in time the person who is not into “it” will capture “it”. As I said, clumsily told, and can easily be misconstrued, but I understand where he is going with it.
“Iron sharpens iron”.
That’s quite true.
Unfortunately, Phil is full of something that’s a fair bit softer than iron, and he personally couldn’t sharpen anything.
“Catching” something fruitful would be one thing but this would be tantamount to catching a fatal disease!
“You are not so much as a pastor’s bootlace – you are an absolute disgrace to the Kingdom of God.”
“He has the most seered conscience I have EVER seen in a wolf.”
Zorro and crenee you both nailed it!
He should be exposed all over the net!
As I have previously mentioned on this site, I was saved at the same church as Phil.Right at the beginning the Bartons shoved him into ministry. He didn’t have a clue what he was talking about and fortunately I boycotted his ludicrous meetings at Hebron house. He spoke once at Peter Morrows and it was way off. It seems nothing has changed. He didn’t go to bible college or have sound teaching at the beginning…Just training on how to split churches. The Bartons were NOT bible teachers but had an evangelistic ministry. The AOG realised that and offered them a position as AOG evangelists when they were voted out of our church. They reblled and started an opposition church and took half the congregation with them. This sort of spirit still prevails in Pringle.

Men don’t bring revival. The Holy Spirit does.
But some certain men think they are God’s gift to revival!….NOT!
“Shame people into worship” – did he REALLY say that !?!?!? Those words should be enough to have any right-minded person immediately get to their feet and make for the door. WHERE in the Bible does it teach that God values worship which comes from “shame”? I was under the impression that the worship which pleases Him comes from a willing and grateful and loving heart……………… and while I am commenting, what is it with the fake American accent? It’s getting worse instead of better! Isn’t our culture good enough for Pringle. Notice in the tape when he speaks in the voice of the person he uses as an example, he uses a distinctly “ocker” accent. He’s just an actor – plain and simple. But what is the excuse of all those folk in the audience who laugh and clap at his antics? There are none so blind as they who will not see………………………sickening.
Just because a person comes to church doesn’t mean there is a revival in their heart. I agree with “kreewater” regarding “shaming them into worship”. It is the Holy Spirit’s job to convict us if we are not worshipping as we should ; not people. There is a time and place for all types of worship but whipping people into a frenzy is NOT worship. Sometimes I need to tell my soul, like David did, to worship the Lord in song because no matter what I FEEL like, God is still worthy of our praise.
