If any of our readers attend C3 or are closely working with Phil Pringle, we would love to hear how he is reacting to the news coming out of the Singaporean courts.
The Straits Times reports,
Pop singer Ho Yeow Sun received more than half a million in bonuses and advances, including a $30,000 birthday cash gift and an $80,000 “special performance bonus for hits in the US or the United Kingdom” in 2006.
But to divert attention from some of these extra takings, leaders of City Harvest Church allegedly doctored documents to show that sponsors had given the money to her as “personal gifts”.
These details emerged on the first day of the second leg of the trial involving six church leaders accused of misusing millions of church funds. The high-profile trial had resumed after a three- month break.
Yesterday, prosecutors tried to show that Ms Ho’s former management company, Xtron Productions, was a puppet company controlled by the church’s leadership, including founder Kong Hee, who is her husband.
The State is accusing the six of using Xtron and another firm, Firna, to funnel $24 million of church funds into paying for Ms Ho’s secular pop music career, and then misappropriating another $26 million to cover that up.
Like at the first part of the trial in May, supporters started lining up outside the Subordinate Courts from as early as 4am for a spot in the 80-seater public gallery in Court 3.
A solemn Ms Ho showed up in court, hand-in-hand with her smiling husband for the first half of the day’s proceedings.
One of the accused, Chew Eng Han, a church stalwart and its investment manager who had quit in June, kept his distance from the rest. He did not speak to the other five in the dock, and stood aside from them during breaks.
The trial continues today and prosecution witness Choong Kar Weng, Xtron’s director and long- time church member, is expected to take the stand again.

It is like bearing gifts to “god”. Offering money to “gods” in return for blessings or just “hand shaking” with “divine vessel”. Christian version of offering gifts/money to “tang kee” (Chinese medium)
This is very common in churches…not only megachurches.
Truth is, it is a CORRUPT practice. Not accepted in politics or any corridors of power
Time for the corrupt church to be judged!
“Lawrence Khong, Chairman of LoveSingapore shared that the motivation behind praying is love.
“Because we love God and because we love the Church,” he tells City News. “There is only one Church in this city–many congregation make up this one Church and CHC is one of the many. We are family and we are the Body of Christ. When one part (of the Body) hurts, every part hurts.
“This is a time of severe testing for the entire Body of Christ. We are all on trial before a righteous God who is all-loving, all-knowing, all-powerful. So, we would much rather talk more with our righteous God and less with others, especially on social media.” ”
Attempting to summon a religious army against Caesar?
Bow to Caesar or Caesar will whip your bad ass. This, hopefully, will be a testimony that you were never a “body of Christ” but a body joined to Caesar.
So if you don’t bow to Caesar, Caesar will withdraw your license to run your religious worship business in buildings.
Now bow so you can sit on your elevated throne in your church buildings and be the voice of God, or be God, to your flock of sheep. How can you resist that, right?
Be money wise, bow.
“So, we would much rather talk more with our righteous God and less with others, especially on social media.”
That’s right, Lawrence: we need to sweep the dust under our collective carpet, and keep our ever-so-dirty washing well out of sight of the public, don’t we?
After all, it’s not like Kong Hee and Sun Ho are the only purveyors of a perverted non-gospel, is it? And their long-overdue and thoroughly well-deserved public humiliation arising from having been exposed as the money-grubbing charlatans they are must surely be making a few other “leaders” around the place a little nervous, don’t you think? I mean, it turns out that God cannot be mocked – who would have guessed, eh?
“[…] many congregation[s] make up this one Church […]”
Well for someone who claims to be an “Apostle”, you really are a singularly ignorant individual, aren’t you Lawrence? The Church is *not* made up of congregations at all; it is in fact made up of those who belong to Christ – it is made up of people, not buildings or organisations. (Did you perhaps obtain your “Apostleship” by completing a correspondence course with one of those unaccredited diploma mills in the U.S., by any chance?).
“[…] CHC is one of the many […]”
CHC is a ponzi prosperity cult run by an insipid weak-willed Ahab and his domineering and utterly self-centred Jezebel. CHC have long since turned away from following the One true God to serve instead the worthless idols of money and success, and they are suffering under the the righteous judgement of Him whose name they have wickedly and wantonly blasphemed. CHC is a laughing stock and a byword – they stand as a stark reminder to the Pharisees and false teachers of our age that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is not to be trifled with, and that He will surely call to account every last thieving liar who twists His words and misuses His name.
Less you missed my subtlety. The entire Christian religion(not only CHC) bears the image of the…coin. Take a good look at the Sin dollar. And go back to the bible and look at that…. reference(inserted above)
Have you look at your dollar coin you are holding lately?
your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour
Who is the real boss? Not your Jesus.
I am sure you know where the below article was extracted from….
“Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s and to God what is God’s — that surely can be a basis for ((cooperative co-existence)). The appointment of bishops in China is not an insurmountable problem from the viewpoint of Communist and Catholic dogma.
In the 16th century, the great Jesuit Matteo Ricci researched deep into Chinese philosophy before deciding on the proper translation for “God”.
For the Chinese, all existence is thought of as what is under Heaven. The emperor was the Son of Heaven, reigning over all human affairs. Ricci decided that God should therefore be properly translated as the “Lord of Heaven”, in a sphere which posed ((no political threat to anybody)).
It may be the calling of the first Jesuit Pope to propose an equally profound yet artful answer to ((a new Chinese President)). ©THE GLOBALIST”
There is a common theme that runs here in the background hich I call the Delilah Syndrome where men are led astray by women……
In the above case Sun Ho seem to call the shots as I suspect and believe Chris Pringle does with Phil Pringle, and it is my opinion and others will concur that she learned that from her first mento Barbara Barton who controlled the church her husband Denis pastored when the Pringles first came into the tithing way to make money.
From throughout hitory, behind every fake and failed male “leader”is the Black Widow waiting to dominate.
Just take a look at the Bakkers and others ……………….
Letter to Churches that affirm women pastors and elders:
We believe that you want to honor the word of God and teach His Word in truth which is why we are contacting you. We notice that you permit women pastors and/or elders. 1 Pet. 3:15 says to give an answer to everyone for the faith that lies within you. So, we are asking you to give an answer as to why you allow women pastors and elders in light of what the Bible says:
•1 Tim. 2:12-13, “But I do not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man, but remain quiet. 13 For it was Adam who was first created, and then Eve.”
•Titus 1:5-6, “For this reason I left you in Crete, that you might set in order what remains, and appoint elders in every city as I directed you, 6 namely, if any man be above reproach, the husband of one wife, having children who believe, not accused of dissipation or rebellion.”
•1 Tim. 5:17, “Let the elders who rule well be considered worthy of double honor, especially those who work hard at preaching and teaching.”
1 Tim. 2:12-14 is where Paul explicitly states that he does not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man, but to remain quiet (“quiet” is hesuchia, not complete silence, but respectful quiet) – because Adam was created first. In 1 Tim. 3:15 we are told this is how we are to conduct ourselves in the household of God. When a woman is a pastor and/or elder, she is in a place of authority over men. Paul clearly tells us this authority in the church structure is not the place for a woman because Adam was made first. This is not a cultural issue. Remember, Eve sinned first, but sin entered the world through Adam, not Eve (Rom. 5:12), because Adam was in the position of authority. This is why husbands are the head of the wife even as Christ is head of the church (Eph. 5:23). The place of authority in the church and family is not the place of the woman.
In Titus 1:5-6 it says that the elder must be “the husband of one wife.” The Greek is literally “man of one woman.” This same phrase is used of the Bishop in 1 Tim. 3:2 and the Deacon in 1 Tim. 3:12. Remember, Paul is speaking of church officers, not servants (diakonos) in homes (Rom. 16:1,27). So, the pastor/elder is to be a man of one woman.
1 Tim. 5:17 tells us that the elders are to receive honor, especially those who preach and teach. Therefore, the pastor is an elder by definition and the elder is to be a “man of one woman.” The word “elders” here is masculine in the Greek. So, Paul is telling us how the church is to operate (1 Tim. 3:15), and that the place of ecclesiastical authority is based on male eldership because Adam was created first (1 Tim. 2:12-13). This is doctrine, not culture.
Some say that women pastors and elders is not an essential issue so we should not worry about it. If that is the case, then why did God tell us women are not to teach or exercise authority over men (1 Tim. 2:12-13) in the church (1 Tim. 3:15)? Why did he tell us that an elder is to be a “man of one woman” (Titus 1:5-6) if we are not to worry about it?
What about equality and verses with women in leadership?
Gal. 3:28, “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” This verse is not about women pastors and elders. It is about salvation in Christ, not church eldership, so it doesn’t apply.
Deborah (Judges 4,5) was an Old Testament Judge, not a New Testament elder. Prophesying women (Acts 21:8,9) are not elders/pastors. Priscilla (Rom. 16:3,4), a fellow worker in Christ, is not said to be an elder/pastor. Phoebe (Rom. 16:1) is a servant (diakonos) of the church, not an elder/pastor. Note that Jesus came not to be served, but to serve (diakonos) (Mark 10:45). The government is called a minister (diakonos) of God (Rom. 13:4). Junia (Rom. 16:7, see http://www.carm.org/junia) may have been a female apostle (not one of the 12), though this is debated. Still, even if she were, apostles are not for today and an apostle is not a pastor/elder. The Chosen Lady of 2 John 1 is an honored woman, not a pastor/elder. Basically, the standard verses cited by people to support women being pastors and elders do no such thing.
What about a woman who is called by God to minister as pastors and elders? Essentially, this is making doctrine based on a woman’s experience. Just because a woman “says” she is called by God or feels she is doesn’t mean she is, because it isn’t biblical. God’s word is the standard, not our feelings and experiences.
Why is this important? This is important because compromise in one area often leads to compromise in other areas. Even if the biblical position is not popular or politically correct, it is biblically correct. As Christians, we must never let compromise seep into the Christian church and weaken it. If Christians refuse to submit to the teaching of God’s word in this matter, can they be trusted to rightly deliver God’s word to us in other matters?
We hope for a response and kindly urge you to seriously consider this brief article. If you are interested in more in-depth material on this topic, please go to http://www.carm.org/women-in-ministry.
Do you disagree? If so, then please answer two questions.
1) How can an elder/pastor who is a woman be “the husband of one wife,” lit. “a man of one woman,” (Titus 1:6)?
2) How can a woman be in a place of authority as a pastor/elder and not violate 1 Tim. 2:12-13 where Paul clearly says he does “not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man?” This is what it says, and there aren’t any qualifications to it. What do you do with it?
Please understand that we believe women are under-appreciated and under-utilized in the Church. But we also believe that God’s word is supreme, that it is above our desires, above culture, and that we need to adhere to what God tells us and not substitute it with a feeling or even an experience. The health of God’s church is linked to its dependence on God’s word, and pastors and elders will be held responsible before God for what they teach.
Finally, research shows that the majority of churches and denominations that affirm women pastors and elders often then adopt pro-homosexual and pro-abortion positions. We are not suggesting you are doing this, but it is important to note that when compromise occurs in one area of scripture, it is easier to compromise in another. See http://www.carm.org/denominations-women-ordination-and-other-errors for documentation on what tends to happen.
So, where do you stand? Do you care? Are you seriously dedicated to God’s word? We hope for your response, http://www.carm.org/contact-carm.
1. The widows of 1 Timothy 5:9 are an office, one of the requirements being that they had to have been a wife of one husband.
2. The verse “not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man” should read “allow a WIFE to teach or exercise authority over a HUSBAND.” Koine Greek uses the same word “gunaike” to mean either “wife” or “woman”.
You’re wrong, TeresaR – go back and do your bible study more diligently.
