It is difficult to distance yourself from someone if you have pronounced powerful positive prophecies in public over a person. Unfortunately for Phil Pringle, the power of positive confession could backfire spectacularly with respect to Kong Hee.
We are still discovering that Kong Hee and Sun Ho to this day are making headlines around the world. And it appears that Phil Pringle is getting more and more associated with their sticky mess.
Only it’s not merely Phil Pringle, but Ed Young and Stephen Furtick too. The amazing thing about this is the complete and utter disregard for ethical and moral behaviour with respect to the use of money in the name of God.
It remains to be seen if Kong Hee has indeed broken the law. However, if he does any jail time whatsoever, he will have shown Phil Pringle to be a false prophet. It which time you can expect Phil to try and remove all youtube clips and transcriptions of his prophecies regarding Kong Hee, in much the same way as Dr. Ergun Caner has tried to remove all references to the lies he told about his conversion to Christianity.

Are you familiar with a pastor named Kong Hee? He hails from Singapore and is heavily involved in the Charismatic Movement. Hee founded City Harvest Church (in Singapore) and serves as senior pastor. He is married to Sun Ho, an aspiring pop music singer. (more on that in a bit…)

Sun Ho, Kong Kee’s wife was not charged, and she is reportedly standing by her man (link).
According to a report by the Associated Press, the trial began on May 15, 2013. The AP article stated:
Singapore opened a long-anticipated corruption trial Wednesday of six church leaders accused of embezzling more than $40 million to fund the pop music career of the wife of their evangelical movement’s founder.
City Harvest Church faithful queued at a Singapore court overnight and packed the public gallery to show support for the accused who prosecutors say diverted the congregation’s funds into “sham” investments to advance the career of aspiring star Ho Yeow Sun, popularly known as Sun Ho.
The church with affiliates in neighboring Malaysia and other countries is one of Singapore’s richest and biggest, with membership of more than 30,000. It is known in the region for staging large-scale, elaborate services resembling pop concerts which are conducted by Ho’s husband, Kong Hee.
Channel News Asia reported that:
After 20 days and six witnesses, the second tranche of the trial involving six City Harvest Church leaders ended on September 20. The trial will resume in January with at least five prosecution witnesses slated to take the stand.

The article explains:
“While free and awaiting his trial, Pastor Hee has apparently gotten permission to travel overseas, which he has been doing. He stopped by this weekend at Texas Pastor Ed Young’s C3 conference, who posed for a photo with the Singaporean pastor and his singing wife.
If found guilty, Kong could face up to 20 years in prison or a fine for each charge.”

Apparently, the power of confession worked because a concerned individual posted this video to protest Steven Furtick’s visit to City Harvest Church (CHC) in April 2013. Can someone confirm that Furtick traveled to Singapore to speak at CHC?

Let’s face it, even if the CHC congregation thought it was a fantastic idea I’m sure they could have found someone half her age, with double the talent.

And such a shame they still think nothing of it and won’t repent and think it is a valid way of evangelism. The problem here is the production of the video, not the exposure of it by c3 churchwatch. Bringing attention constantly to the video is certainly a good way of exposing them and warn and remind people to be discerning of such leaders. Of course there will be a risk of some men being seduced by the repeated showing of the videos even if they have declared to Sinno More.. Problem is Sun and Kong Hee think nothing of it. How could you disagree with a Pastor and church which is a friend of C3 church.

Repeating the videos are for the benefit of those who are not aware of them and to warn them of dangers lurking in some churches. It’ s not for those who have seen them previously. Unfortunately there will be a very tiny minority few , (regardless of whether they have publicly announced to Sinno More or not), who will want to take a peep again. The big majority will choose not to. The solution therefore is not by stopping the posting as that would deprive new readers of being warned of these dangers they call crossover evangelism. However if these tiny few still insist on seeing them and be seduced, the solution is for them to confess, repent and seek counselling.So if you ( even though you declare to Sinno More) or anyone you know is in that situation, please confess and repent.Or must the blog be compelled to issue an advisory , warning you not to view them a second time. The problem lies squarely with Kong Hee and Sun and C3 who think nothing of it and insist that it’s an acceptable way to reach the lost. You are barking at the wrong tree. Let them publicly and specifically repent first, then I will support you in the removal of these videos from the blog.

Anyway, why are all these church leaders always getting into the news for money? Oh dear. Furtick has his own financial board which doesn’t disclose salaries. Builds a big house. That’s fantastic! Just be a bit open mate, how’s that?
Oh….I just remembered that pearler someone else quoted here – about Christine Mama Pringle saying she had a “knife in her heart” because she couldn’t afford a $3million house. Oh the tears!
So we move back to the issue of church leaders, money and the media. Well, I’ve really got nothing to say after all that! But why does it happen? Oh, just the leaven that makes its way through the whole batch – start with a little money, then oh how tasty it is! Whether the intent for more money is there, or it comes a result of deception, or just outright unaccountability, oh well.
