Yesterday, founder Phil Pringle of the C3 Church Movement, announced at his annual Presence Conference that MP Mike Baird and Prime Minister Tony Abbott will be speaking at his event at the end of this week.
It doesn’t take much research to realize that this is a terrible mistake for our Australian Prime Minister. We encourage EVERYONE to contact the media or to warn the government to rethink their decision to tarnish Australia’s reputation by allowing Mike Baird and Tony Abbott to speak at this questionable conference.

There is something wrong with your thinking.
Abbott and Baird are politicians. They speak at all kinds of events. They do not care about who organises the events. They do not care what church, business, or other group is involved. It’s just an opportunity to push their politics.
Tony Abbott wants your vote.
Bill Shorten wants your vote too. And he is also happy to speak at Christian conferences. But do not expect him to bring a Christian message.
This week both Shorten and Abbott spoke in support of the “no jab, no pay” policy. Nothing that C3 has done wrong compares with the rubbish that comes from these politicians.

Abbot and Baird are using Pringle, just as Pringle is using Abbot and Baird. Pity the poor punters who have ponied up large sums of cash simply to listen to meaningless drivel from these three et al. at this joke of a conference.

No, Bill Shorten wouldn’t do that – but any message he did bring would actually be far more “Christian” than anything that Phil Pringle would *ever* say.
JJ, What a sad indictment on our leaders. I gave what you said a lot of thought and regrettably, I have come to a place where I have to agree with you. Wouldn’t it be great if we could find one leader with the backbone to shun popularity in preference for personal integrity! But then we are the mindless voters who create this “popularity monster” are we not? It’s all very depressing, but what you said is absolutely correct.
Let’s see if the video happens….I think you’d expect one from Shorten. Anything to pull the votes. I’m not taking sides here.
With all churches, it’s a matter of being “seen” in the community – whether subtly and serving – like homeless, helping out school gardening, or “wow we’ve got the PM speaking”, or somewhere in between, whether good or bad.

Someone should tell Phil Pringle to check if Caeser ever put in an appearance at any of the Apostle Paul’s meetings, or if Jesus had enough clout to attract any political personages to, say, the sermon on the mount.
I guess that since Phil has no authority in God and that the Holy Spirit stays away from his conferences as a result, he has no alternative but to go down the worldly path. Hey Phil, did you know that Jesus Christ is the King of Kings? Did you know that he outranks all of the world’s rulers put together? Do you realise that having people like Abbot and Baird address your conference actually shows how spiritually bankrupt you really are?
P.S. Did you quiz Tony and Mike as to whether they are faithfully tithing? You wouldn’t want people who are “cursed” to be addressing your faithful throngs of adoring fans, would you?
