To Our C3 Member Readership…

… We have a number of articles lined up for you to print and pass around your friends, families and cell groups.

The scandal of Yonggi Cho is raising serious discussions among popular Christian reporters, writers, teachers and so-called Christian leaders.

While we do not agree with every theological point in this article, Baker’s overall advice should be considered as a direct warning to the unrepentant sins of Phil Pringle and his C3 movement. Following on from our previous articles, can you see the issues we may disagree within this article?

1. What similarities do you see in Yoido Full Gospel Church leadership that is also evident in your C3 Church leadership?

2. How would you deal with these issues if they happened at C3 Church?

3. Would you encourage your cell group members to stand and endorse David Yonggi Cho?

4. What do you think Phil Pringle should biblically do?

David Baker from the Christian Post reports,

David Yonggi Cho: Money, sex, power and the perils of church leadership

It doesn’t look like good news for the gospel when the senior pastor of one of the world’s largest Christian congregations is convicted of corruption.

As this website has reported, David Yonggi Cho, founder of the million-strong Yoido Full Gospel Church in Seoul, South Korea, has been found guilty of embezzling $12 million in church funds. He was sentenced to three years in prison – suspended for five years – and ordered to pay $4.67 million in fines.

As a report by the Gospel Herald put it, the news “spread like wildfire among global Christian communities, where followers of the disgraced South Korean mega-church pastor searched for an explanation of how their spiritual leader became entangled in the crime”.

Perhaps, however, we should not be so surprised. Christian leaders are no more immune from temptation than anyone else – and it is often money, sex or power which trips them up. Yet the New Testament sets a high standard for those who aspire to have oversight of congregations, declaring that they “must be blameless – not overbearing, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, and not pursuing dishonest gain,” as Paul puts it in his Epistle to Titus. Rather, they must be “hospitable, love what is good… [and] self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplined”. (Titus 1v7-8)

Nonetheless, Paul himself was the first to admit that sin was an ongoing struggle for him: “I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out,” he laments in Romans 7. “For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing.” Although some have argued he was speaking about his experience before becoming a Christian, the majority of Bible scholars – from Augustine through to the Reformation and beyond – agree that he was writing about his ongoing post-conversion struggle against sin. More recently, when Pope Francis was asked to define himself, he replied: “I am a sinner. This is the most accurate definition. It is not a figure of speech, a literary genre. I am a sinner.”

Church leaders are not expected to be perfect – but they are expected to be living in daily repentance and faith. The problem for them comes when the daily battle against sin is abandoned, when it remains unconfessed to God, and when sin makes it impossible for them to discharge the duties of their ministry or brings the gospel into public disgrace.

In the case of David Yonggi Cho, one of his church elders has said: “Over the past 14 years, I have met with Rev Cho many times to try to persuade him to repent and return to being a great pastor, but the corruption has continued. That’s why I had no choice but to disclose it to the outside world.”

Sometimes, on the other hand, ministers are brought down by untrue accusations – or the misdeeds of others. Again, Paul wrote of experiencing “glory and dishonour, bad report and good report” and of his mission team being “genuine, yet regarded as impostors,” (2 Corinthians 6v7-9). In Cho’s case, one American minister and friend, Bob Rodgers, has suggested his downfall was at least in part due to naïvety in signing financial papers prepared by others without reading them properly.

Either way, the loneliness and lack of accountability which many church leaders experience makes them even more vulnerable to the temptations of Satan who is – after all – constantly seeking their downfall. Who are your church ministers? What could you pray for them each day? And what words of encouragement could you offer them today?

In this article, we have CHC Confessors writing about what they’ve seen and learnt of their experience with Kong Hee, Sun Ho and the City Harvest Church scandal. In our first CHC Cofessors article, it is exposed that “$1,000,000 was distributed to Sun’s “Singaporean supporting crew” in USA as “hardship allowance”.” A CHC Confessor states in our second article,

“I was there in USA with her for some months. I saw the kind of extravagance and lifestyle that would put the prodigal son to shame. By saying this, I’m sure PK and Sun can guess my identity but it doesn’t matter now. If you are going to keep buying into his lies and the false promise of a Suntec “Home”, you are going to be very disappointed. And poorer too. Just use a simple litmus test – did this whole saga bring praise to Jesus… or shame?”

The reason why we are publishing these comments from CHC Confessions on C3 Church Watch is because these articles are very informative.

First CHC Confessor writes,

Kong Hee, Tan Ye Peng, and John Lam – Let’s look at how amateurish, audacious, opportunistic and crafty they are through the sagas of Galaxy Capital loan and Glory Capital loan.

I will not go into the details of the plundering of the $138,000,000 (approximate) Arise and Build Funds that led to the need to borrow $50,000,000 Galaxy Capital loan to purchase the additional 19.2% stake in Suntec in August 2012.

A brief background:

In March 2010, City Harvest Church announced a $310,000,000 “deal” to be a co-owner of Suntec Convention Center and to use part of the space (around 44%) for its religious services on weekends for 10 years.

City Harvest Church officials were tight-lipped on the details of the “deal”, citing a Non-Disclosure-Agreement (NDA) with the vendor, an Indonesian consortium who had just bought 80% of the Suntec Convention Center from ARA Asset Management, owner of the Suntec REIT.

Why is the deal shrouded in secrecy?

Unknown to the congregation, the “deal” only involved the purchase of a mere 20% stake of Suntec Convention Center for $43,800,000, valuing the property at $219,000,000.

The balance $266,200,000, which is more than the entire value of Suntec Convention Center, was for:

a) A 4 + 6 years deal to rent 44% of the space, of which the rental cost is around $15,000,000 each year.
(The projected return from the 20% stake was around $2,000,000+, giving a yield of 4+% each year.)

b) A hefty shifting budget.
During the first year in Suntec Convention Center, the shifting cost was around $15,000,000, cleverly broken into four parts to make it less conspicuous.

c) A one-off Audio-Visual equipment cost that was reported to be around $13,000,000.

d) A $5,500,000 rental deposit, minor renovations, and services for Audio Visual Installation.

At that time, the Arise and Build Fund had raised around $100,000,000 (approximate) but it was so depleted that a bridging loan (paying 9% interest rate) was even needed to pay for part of the $43,8000,000 purchase.

In August 2011, the Indonesian consortium decided to cash out with a hefty Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 64.8% or Equity Multiple of 2.2 times. To the Indonesian consortium, City Harvest Church was a Santa Claus as City Harvest Church is paying top dollars for rental and keeping the facilities 98% leased.

Suntec REIT, who already owns a 20% stake, was given the First Right of Refusal for the 60% stake put up for sale by the Indonesian consortium.

Suntec REIT shrewdly offered 19.2% of the stake to City Harvest Church at $54,000,000, just to give City Harvest Church a 49% minority stake in the vehicle that owned 80% of Suntec Convention Centre.

The Arise and Build Fund had raised around $123,000,000 (approximate) by 2011. But it was so depleted that City Harvest Church needed to borrow $50,000,000 to pay for the additional 19.2% stake at $54,000,000.

Why buy an additional 19.2% when there is no more fund while tithes and offerings were falling?

After the CAD’s raid in May 2010, Kong Hee and gang knew that they could not hide behind the NDA anymore.

There would be an uproar if the congregation knew that the “deal” dubbed “Our Promised Land” had only a 20% ownership costing only $43,800,000.

City Harvest Church is willing to pay $310,000,000 just to own a 20% stake in Suntec Convetion Center, and use 44% of the space for weekends only for10 years. The valuation of the property at the purchase price was only $219,000,000!

To make this deal that made no financial sense more palatable to the congregation, Kong Hee and gang gladly committed to buy the additional 19.2% stake at $54,000,000 when there was no fund left in the Arise and Build Fund.

Galaxy Capital Loan:

To raise the fund, Tan Ye Peng and John Lam went around to borrow from the banks but were unsuccessful.

It was not just the ongoing investigations that turned the bank off.

There were four tranches of outstanding “super-low-interest unsecured loans” given to AMAC Capital in the form of Special Opportunity Funds, amounting to $17,935,000, that spooked the banks.

These four tranches (Tranche 13, 14, 16, and 18) of unsecured “loans” were lent to AMAC Capital from November 2009 to May 2010, just prior to the CAD’s raid on 30 May 2010. These unsecured “loans” had been rolled over since August 2011.

In other words, these loans were already in default.
However, during the rounds with the banks, Tan Ye Peng and John Lam learnt something.

1) Front-end fee. This is a one-off and negotiable fee usually used by the banks to charge an additional 0.5-1.0% fee just to improve the margin.

2) Private Equity Fund will lend to a high-risk client like City Harvest Church for a hefty interest rate of 15% per annum, if the loan is fully secured by collateral.

When Tan Ye Peng managed to convince an ultra-high net worth church member, who is related to the Indonesian consortium, to help set up and arrange for Galaxy Capital to lend $50,000,000 to City Harvest Church at 10% per annum over three years, Kong Hee and gang saw an opportunity.

Knowing that the market rate is 15% as City Harvest Church was having such a bad publicity, Kong Hee and gang did the following:

1) Incorporate 3%, 4%, and 5% front-end fees for the amount of outstanding loan in the beginning of year 1, 2, and 3 of the Galaxy Loan. That is $1,500,000, $1,600,000, and $1,500,000 respectively. A total of $4,600,000 to be paid as front-end fees to an unknown party.

2) They told this ultra-high net worth member that the mark-up was needed to help pay for the $20,000,000 + “loans” secretly borrowed from other churches and individuals to redeem the Xtron and FIRNA bonds after the CAD raid in May 2010.

The continuous plundering weighed on the finances of City Harvest Church. It was so bad that the progress payment for Galaxy Loan could not be repaid in Year 2.

John Lam, despite his suspension by COC, worked on and put up a refinancing proposal.

The new Investment Committee recommended against the refinancing proposal as hefty multi-year front-end fees were again incorporated for the 5-year deal.

In the financial markets, a 3-5% and multi-year front-end fee is highly suspicious and inappropriate, especially when it is not clear on who is actually receiving the fees.

Glory Capital Loan:

After the failed attempt at refinancing, Kong Hee and gang then bypassed the new Investment Committee and put Bobby Chaw as the front person to do the Glory Capital Loan.

Kong Hee and gang craftily structured the Glory Capital Loan to achieve the following:

1) “Legitimize” the questionable multi-year front-end fee as if it is a normal practice in the financial industry.

2a) Artificially boosted the value of Suntec Convention Center to $500,000,000 by giving it a conversion price of $46,000,000 for the 9.2% stake to be forfeited by Glory Capital; should City Harvest Church default on the loan.

2b) The actual conversion price is only $33,000,000 as there is an irrevocable front-end fee of $13,000,000 to be paid to Glory Capital even if the forfeiture takes place. This will give Suntec Convention Centre a valuation of $358,700,000.

2c) City Harvest Church acquired the 39.2% stake at $97,8000,000, valuing Suntec Convention Centre at $249,500,000.

However, Suntec REIT carried out a $180,000,000 Asset Enhancement Initiative to give Suntec Convention Center a facelift, the liability of City Harvest Church’s 39.2% stake in Suntec Convention Center is $70,560,000.

3) In essence, City Harvest Church will most likely retire the outstanding $42,000,000 of the non-performing $50,000,000 Galaxy Loan by forgoing a 9.2% stake in Suntec Convention Center.

This is after paying at least $30,000,000+ in fees and interest to both Galaxy Capital and Glory Capital.

4) Eventually, City Harvest Church will retain a 30% stake in Suntec Convention Centre, projected to yield a dividend income of $3,000,000 – $5,000,000 a year.

City Harvest Church also assumed a liability of $54,000,000 for the $180,000,000 renovation loan taken up by Suntec REIT.

In summary:

1) It is unlikely that the initial NDA in 2010 was the initiative of the vendor (Indonesian consortium) as the cost of shifting, equipment, and minor renovation did not concern the vendor at all.

Motive:
Kong Hee and gang used the NDA to “mask” the true composition of the $310,000,000 “deal”.

It is absurb that City Harvest Church asked the congregation to progressively pay up $310,000,000 just to own a 20% stake in Suntec Convention Center and rent 44% of the space on weekends only for 10 years; when the property was valued at only $219,000,000 at the time of purchase!

2) The Arise and Build Fund was cleverly mandated to pay for the rental of premises also. This is a financially imprudent practice of matching a recurring long-term rental expense with an extraordinary ad-hoc income of Arise of Build Campaigns.

It is clear that the stated goal for the investment in Suntec Convention Center to self-sustain cannot be achieved. ($3,000,000 to $5,000,000 dividend income versus $15,000,000 – $30,000,000 in rental/shifting/service fees)

Motive:
This frees up more than $10,000,000 from the general operating budget of City Harvest Church. Kong Hee and gang can then freely allocate these funds in the general operating budget to “Mission Donations” with little transparency and accountability.

A case in point, City Harvest Church donated $3,000,000 to City Harvest Church KL.

We understand that the City Harvest Church KL only got to keep $300,000. The balance $2,700,000 was promptly distributed as follows:

a) $1,700,000 was distributed to Mark Kwan and Henry Chee.
b) $1,000,000 was distributed to Sun’s “Singaporean supporting crew” in USA as “hardship allowance”.

3) The non-permanent nature of the premises at Expo Changi and Suntec Convention Center entailed constant shifting each year.

Motive:
Hefty mark-up in shifting costs when hundreds of volunteers helped out with the moves. Some people are getting very rich. Just ask Henry Chee.

4) There is so much “fat” built into the $310,000,000 “deal”. After the acquisition of an additional 19.2% stake at $54,000,000, the “deal” still stands at $310,000,000.

Aries shamelessly thanked that people who are doing the shifting for their hard work to make the “savings” possible.

Motives:
This will give Kong Hee and gang the means to fleece the church while making the yearly Arise and Build Campaign a necessity for a long time to come.

To my dear brothers and sisters in City Harvest Church:

You might have been told that the leadership had “Right Motives, Wrong Methods.”
You might have been told that God had given Kong Hee a vision to reach out to the lost souls through cultural mandate.
You might have been told all the siphoning and unlawful acts are to fulfill God’s vision given to a man of God.
I will leave it to you to decide what you want to do.

The funds that are being round-tripped and debated in Singapore court recently; at least now we know where these monies ended up – funding the lavish lifestyle and personal ambitions of Kong Hee and Sun.

But there is at least another $10,000,000 to $20,000,000 of God’s money that was/is being siphoned off each year through mark-up in procurements and services provided to City Harvest Church, and dubious “Mission Donations” with little transparency and accountability.

Whose pockets did these monies end up in?

What is Kong Hee’s net worth?
No one really knows but some in the know guess it is in the region of $40,000,000 to 70,000,000.

Recently, many OMs and MMs watched Reverend Bobby Chaw on stage trying in vain to convince them that the borrowing of $50,000,000 (12.5-15% interest rate + a total of $17,600,000 in irrevocable front-end fees) to buy an additional 19.2% stake of Suntec Convention Center was such a shrewd investment (3-4 +% dividend yield).

Reverend Bobby did not even bother to explain why the Arise and Build Funds were so depleted in the first place.

Many of these members must be thinking:
Is this the guy that I want to lead myself and my family in our spiritual walk?

Kong Hee and gang are going to kick start another round of Arise and Build in October 2013, with 6, 7, or 8 more to come.

If you think Kong Hee and gang should be exposed, please forward this article to any member of City Harvest Church that you know, or anyone you think that may know a member of City Harvest Church.

God bless.

CHC Confessions also had another fascinating post. If you would like to know more about where Kong Hee got the false “Seven Pillars of the Cultural Mandate” teaching, tune into this episode of Fighting for the Faith. Listen to the second hour where Chris Rosebrough reviews C. Peter Wagner, (who is the founder of the ‘New Apostolic Reformation’).

It’s worth noting that Phil Pringle is influenced by the teachings of Peter Wagner. There is no way that Kong Hee was suddenly ordained by God to fulfill a “Cultural Mandate”. It is more likely he was influenced by men like Pringle or Wagner and decided to call it something else to stand out in the community of Asian churches.

The confessor writes,

In principle, you can’t fault PK’s sermon last weekend. He spoke about the seven pillars of the Cultural Mandate: Religion, Family, Business, Education, Government, Arts & Entertainment and Media

What he said in his 70-minute long sermon, I can summarise in one minute – Be the salt and light wherever God has planted you, You can be a Daniel and a Joseph if you rise to the top of your profession where you can be in a position of influence whether for society, your company, your nation and ultimately to propagate the gospel. Nothing wrong with this.

The problem is that PK was using this sermon to justify Sun’s crossover into the pillar of Arts & Entertainment. Why is it a problem? Because in the first place, Sun is not a pop star and never will be. And after getting caught with his hands in a cookie jar he is now using the Cultural Mandate as an excuse. After years of denying any use of CHC funds for Sun’s career, suddenly it’s now – yes we did use millions of (the-sky-is-the-limit) dollars belonging to the church to TRY to make her a pop star but it was all part of the Cultural Mandate.

Daniel and Joseph did not have to “pretend” to be somebody they were not. They didn’t have to compromise or manipulate to get into their position of influence. The got there through simple obedience to God and non-compromise to the world. What Sun did in Hollywood was a TOTAL opposite from these men of God. Before she even got near to any genuine position of fame, success and influence, she was already compromising big time. I don’t have to remind anyone of China Wine, Mr Bill, photos with porn stars, tongue hanging out and fingers in a vulgar sign. Boobs half hanging out in tasteless photos. Was all that suppose to win people to Christ?

If this Sun Ho/Crossover/Cultural Mandate excuse holds water, does that mean it’s alright for PK to use the building fund to enter into politics to assimilate himself into the pillar of Government?

Members of CHC, I was there in USA with her for some months. Just use a simple litmus test – did this whole saga bring praise to Jesus… or shame?

When this whole thing started with COC, PK said there will be no problem. When CAD arrested them, he said there will be no charges. Now after two tranches of court trials, he tells you this whole episode will end in 2014 and then God will bring about a revival because of his sacrifice in going through this difficult time. He may finally be right after all cos there is definitely a good chance of a real revival after he goes to jail.

Recently Dean Sweetman has been commenting on C3 Church Watch. He is the regional director and overseer of the C3 Churches in the Americas. Before reading the below newspaper articles, please familiarise yourself with the background of the scandal that C3 Pastor Nick Dimitris was involved in and how the C3 Church leadership reacted to him.

C3 Asheville Scandal – C3 Pastor Facing Prison (Part 1)
C3 Asheville Scandal – C3 Pastor “Pleads Guilty In Bank Fraud Case” (Part 2)
C3 Asheville Scandal – Sweetmans Do Nothing Against Fraudulent C3 Pastor? (Part 3)

C3 Asheville Scandal – Four “People… Have Pleaded Guilty” Including “[C3] Minister… Nicholas Dimitris” (Part 4)

Back in 2012, there was  a “7 Days of Praise” conference from January 2nd-8th. On the 9th of January, the first article hit the paper about the bank fraud scandal Pastor Nick Dimitris was involved in.

This was when the church first found out about it. Nick Dimitris made the below comment the following Sunday,

“Hey I want to read a statement to you church and give you an update. Emily and I want to update you on some news about our family and the circumstances that has arisen. Over two years ago we purchased property from some folks who are currently under a federal investigation in pursuit for multiple proprieties. These individuals and the bank that provided the financing were allegedly involved in illegal behaviour.

Although we had no knowledge of their misbehaviour, we’ve been required to participate with the federal government in this case since we were the buyers. This has put us in a very difficult position and cooperation was not an option in the matter. Our testimony now is a very critical part of the case against these individuals.

You may have seen information about this in the media. And if so, please realise that the media is very good at misconstruing facts, which is misleading at best. Nevertheless, it sells papers. We cannot control what the media does or how they represent the circumstance.  But let me assure you church, the facts of the matter have been given to our overseers and a team of leaders within the church. And they’re all standing with us in full support and have counselled us to work with the federal government in their process.

Although this is a challenge and a big challenge for us, we will get through it. And this circumstance will not affect the church operations as we move forward. Please pray and stand with us as we build the kingdom and move forward securing location and the future to make accommodations for growth as God builds his church.” – Nick Dimitris, C3 Asheville, 15/01/2012.

Nick Dimitris, on the 15h of January 2012, lied to church members. He claimed, “we had no knowledge of their misbehaviour”. He was heavily involved in the scandal and the courts have charged him guilty.

Fast forward to 2013 and people can see that the front page of the Asheville Citizen Times has the ring leader of the Asheville bank fraud conspiracy, Keith Vinson, in prison today and guilty of all charges.

We have been informed by reliable sources that Keith Vinson had multiple meetings with ‘Pastor’ Nick Dimitris in his office regarding all of these dodgy loans. This was also confirmed by staff and people that worked with Dimitris.

The above transcript records Nick Dimitris standing in front of C3 Asheville stating that all he did was buy real estate off people who were being investigated. He lied to the church as it was actually a conspiracy.

The transcript says that an oversight team was standing behind him. Stephen Hickson was the oversight for C3 Asheville. He stated plainly that Nick Dimitris should be removed. Dean Sweetman overrode Hicksons decision and Hickson resigned as oversight. The entire deal was a farce and one man (Dean Sweetman) had all the power. Oversight, board, staff, congregation all had zero power other than to leave or resign. In saying this, we would like Dean Sweetman to offer his side of the story.

Dean Sweetman, who visits this website, says he’s been waiting for the final outcome. With some of the things stated in the article below, Dean Sweetman should be very concerned in standing and defending Nick Dimitris. He hasn’t been sentenced yet but this article highlights the fact that all of the guys, including Nick, are guilty.

So what is Dean Sweetman going to do with ‘Pastor’ Nick Dimitris?

The Asheville Citizen Times reports,

Seven Falls’ Vinson guilty
Developer faces up to 30 years in prison

ASHEVILLE — A federal jury convicted failed Seven Falls developer Keith Vinson on Thursday in what prosecutors described as a illegal conspiracy involving millions of dollars intended to save his “beautiful dream.”

Vinson was found guilty on all charges contained in a 13-count indictment that alleged conspiracy to commit bank fraud, conspiracy to defraud the United States, misapplication of bank funds, wire fraud and money laundering.

Some counts carry penalties of as much as 30 years in prison and a $1 million fine.

Vinson had been free on pretrial release but was jailed Thursday night to wait for sentencing, which will happen at a later date.

“When you risk the funds of federally insured banks through fraudulent loans and transactions, be prepared to pay the price,” U.S. Attorney Anne Tompkins said in a statement. “Today’s outcome will finally bring some justice to those defrauded by Vinson.”

Seven Falls filed for bankruptcy in 2009. The development was planned to accommodate 900 homes and an Arnold Palmer-designed golf course on 1,400 acres, potentially adding $1.25 billion to Henderson County’s tax base.

Vinson had “straw borrowers” take out illegal loans to prop up the development in hopes of preventing foreclosure, Assistant U.S. Attorney Don Gast said in closing arguments to the jury Thursday.

“These were sham transactions,” Gast said in Vinson’s fraud trial in U.S. District Court. “He knew the banks couldn’t loan him any more money. He sent in straw borrowers to borrow on his behalf.

“Mr. Vinson and his co-conspirators turned this sad tale into a crime. This was a conspiracy and a fraud, and it was one that caused two banks to collapse, and that’s what causes taxpayers to have to eat those losses.”

Defense attorney Clark Fischer argued that the government’s case was based on “speculation and conjecture” as well as “guilt by association” with other defendants who pleaded guilty to the scheme.

Vinson didn’t know about or participate in obtaining the illegal loans used to buy lots in Seven Falls, Fischer said.

“The evidence is very clear that Keith Vinson made bad business decisions,” he said during closing arguments Thursday.

“He clearly bit off more than he could chew. Keith Vinson stands before you as a failed businessman, but he committed no crime.”

Jurors deliberated Thursday for more than four hours following eight days of testimony. The evidence included 26 witnesses and hundreds of documents.

Vinson declined to testify, and the defense elected not to put on any evidence. He showed little or no emotion as the judge read the jury’s verdict. Vinson did shake his head and appeared upset as the prosecution motioned to revoke his pretrial release.

Reporters were asked to leave the courtroom for about five minutes as specific details of his income were discussed and his cross-examination with Gast became testy at times.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Mike Savage said Vinson began the venture with a $25 million bank loan to be repaid with money from the sale of lots. But Vinson ran out of money in 2008 when the economy tanked and the sales dried up.

The prosecutor said Vinson and his fellow conspirators came up with a “lot loan scheme” that involved straw borrowers buying lots with loans they didn’t intend to repay. Vinson was unable to borrow more money because of rules designed to limit banks’ exposure to any one borrower.

Gast cited the testimony of real estate investor and codefendant Avery Ted “Buck” Cashion III, who said he often talked with Vinson about the conspiracy to obtain illegal loans.

“All of that fraud involves that man,” said Savage, pointing to Vinson in the courtroom Thursday. “Is there any reasonable doubt? The answer is no.”

But Clark said Vinson never asked anyone to make an illegal loan and that it was Cashion who directed the scheme. Cashion testified that Vinson never told him lie to bank officials.

“It was Buck who was in the banks every day trying to get these deals done,” Clark said. “Keith Vinson was not a conspirator with Buck Cashion. There is no evidence Keith Vinson did anything improperly.”

Clark said Vinson wasn’t present at any loan application or signing.

Ten co-defendants already had pleaded guilty in connection with the scheme, which left Vinson as the only conspirator left to stand trial.

According to the 27-page indictment, Vinson and others “devised and executed various schemes to defraud federally insured banks and others to forestall the failure of their luxury residential development.”

Three defendants who had been scheduled to be tried along with Vinson entered guilty pleas last month. Former Pisgah Community Bank President Thomas ”Ted” Durham Jr. and retired appraiser Aaron Ollis each pleaded guilty to conspiracy to defraud the United States. Accountant George M. Gabler pleaded guilty to withholding information about a crime.

Cashion and real estate investor Raymond “Ray” Chapman Jr. pleaded guilty last month to one count each of conspiracy to defraud the United States.

Durham and former Bank of Asheville President George Gordon “Buddy” Greenwood “conspired to conceal the risks posed by Seven Falls-related loans from their shareholders, auditors and regulators,” court records state.

Greenwood pleaded guilty to bank fraud charges and was sentenced in May 2012 to four years in federal prison. According to court records, Greenwood was involved in illegal loans to Vinson totaling nearly $6.8 million.

Problems with Seven Falls played a key role in the fall of the Bank of Asheville.

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. shut down the bank in January 2011 and transferred its assets to Troy-based First Bank because of big losses on loans.

Pisgah Community Bank also failed because of the conspiracy, according to the government.

Pringle Encouraging CHC Members To Shun Criticism & Promote “Good Guys”

In his book ‘You The Leader’, Phil Pringle instructs readers how they can make   members defend leaders like himself:

“When we’re in the trenches getting fired at, I don’t want soldiers at my side wondering why their leader is being fired upon. People like this can eventually turn their guns on their leader. They imagine the Enemy must have good reason for shooting at their leader, and so they begin firing also.

Once we’ve been in the trenches a few times, we realize who can be trusted under fire. Even if the leader does make a mistake, that is still no reason for those around him or her to attack. I want to know that my team will be loyal to me when the attacks are unjustified, and when they are justified.” – Phil Pringle, You The Leader, 2005, pg 265-266.

If you do not consider this to be a form of mind control, then consider this article:

C3 Bible College Students Taught To Be Manipulative Leaders

In relation to the above qoute, Phil Pringle recently spoke at his church and started using the above method.

What Is Phil Pringle Trying To Hide? *Update 3* (03-07-2013)

Not long ago, we learnt that Pringle again spoke at City Harvest Church. It comes to no surprise that Phil Pringle refuses to address any substance to people’s claimsabout C3 Church or City Harvest Church. His entire sermon was grooming CHC members to be soldiers and to fight for God. Here is Pringle again conditioning people to not listen to the world outside of the constructed ‘church’.

Well Pringle, Jesus Christ has this to say about your approach to ministry:

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you clean the outside of the cup and the plate, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence.” Matthew 23:25

People have indeed seen straight through the facade. In response to Pringle’s behaviour, a commentor from CHC Confessions said,

“Phil Pringle the salesman preacher is insulting the intelligence of CHC members by asking them not to visit websites. When the light comes, darkness flees and it’s obvious the CHC leadership is interested is to keep their members in darkness and ignorance.” – Euphamist Ic, https://www.facebook.com/CHCConfessions/posts/629711277048253?comment_id=6796149&offset=0&total_comments=9, 03/07/2013. (Accessed 04/07/2013.)

Looks like Pringle doesn’t want his poor ‘critic’ with “three followers on twitter” to be heard or have him grow in popularity.

“I’m gonna tell the whole world, “You’ve got three followers on Twitter!” – Phil Pringle

Some obvious questions needs to be asked to Phil Pringle’s involvement with City Harvest Church:

    1. Why does CHC insist in having Phil Pringle as their Advisory Pastor?
    2. Isn’t Phil Pringle more of a liability then an asset?
    3. Is Phil Pringle worth the risk for CHC?

What do you think?

EDIT (04/07/2013): We thought it was appropriate to transcribe Phil Pringle:

“…..He says – take a teaspoon of concrete and harden up! Amen? Man up
Pringle – so I put the harness on and I walk into battle and you know, now,
after 30 years, I feel a little weird if there isn’t a problem.

I feel a little bored – I feel like, this isn’t very exciting. We’ve got no
big issues going on.

You’ve got to get used to the feeling that the christian life is a battle.
You get tempted here, people will criticize you there, things are going to
come at you from behind and in front.

AND by the way, don’t go clicking on all those websites, you know, with
negative stuff on them.

Click on truth, amen, click on the good guys, click on all the C3 churches,
CHC (City Harvest Church) churches – ” upgrade” their ratings, “like” this,
“like” this, “follow” him, “tweet” this, “retweet” that.

There’s such a temptation to go and read the junk, the nonsense. But every
time you “click”, you give another vote for it. You know these guys – don’t
do that! What do you want that in your head for anyway?

These are just some more of the battles, there’s just a little battle over
there.

You and I need to front the battle full on, on the inside of our heart and
say “you know, all these invisible forces that try to attack us, I’m going
to stick up the sheild of faith, it’s not going to get me.

I believe God, we’ll get through this, we’ll get through that, we’ll
overcome this, we’ll beat this thing. I’m going to get over that, this is
going to go back from me, I’m not going under, I’m going over.

As you stick up that shield of faith and start speaking the word of God, you
repel all the fiery darts of the evil one. The only way you get good at
fighting is fighting.

So, if you’re not fighting today, stand up on the inside and say “You know
what? Time for me to get into battle, time for me to join King David in the
stronghold and get in the game.”

Is This The Way Phil Pringle Should Run His Church?

SERMON EXECUTION

When key church conferences or events are weeks away, Phil Pringle executes his teachings in rather peculiar ways. To the average person it sounds like what they are hearing in a Sunday service or bible study is biblical teaching.

Unfortunately this is not the case. It is becoming more evident that C3 members are being seduced by innovative marketing ploys for Phil Pringle’s conferences and events. People need to understand that Phil Pringle can often have a rather different agenda when he is preaching. It is of our opinion that his marketing ploys are becoming more manipulative.

Consider some of these statements he has made in his book, ‘You The Leader’:

“People can become anything under the right conditions.” – Phil Pringle, You The Leader, 2005, pg 267.

“I don’t approach Sundays with an attitude of, “What message shall I preach?” but rather, “What do we want to achieve in our church at this time?” That desired end result determines what and how I preach. Then, within the particular message, I ask myself, “What am I trying to achieve here? What one thing am I attempting to say? What do I want these people to have or do at the end of this time?’
Then I follow the plan.” – Phil Pringle, You The Leader, pg. 234.

“What we preach is what we get. We are farmers sowing seed. If we are unhappy with the harvest we’re reaping, we should sow different seed. If we want different results, we preach different messages.” – Phil Pringle, You The Leader, 2005, pg 215.

It is unsettling to know that a pastor might be using his position and sermon time to manipulate people. This is what we have recorded Phil Pringle doing in the past.

Another False Prophecy By Pringle Alongside A Deceitful Sermon

HAS ‘PASTOR’ PHIL PRINGLE CHANGED?

You may be thinking Phil Pringle went through an unusual phase in his ministry. Not so. We have seen him behave like this for a few years now. This year we have seen Pringle misuse his power and position to market his events through his teachings. Specifically this years Presence Conference 2013 and Vision Builders 2013.

In this articles we will not give you a critique of Phil Pringle’s sermons that market people to attend Presence Conference 2013 or Vision Builders 2013. First, we invite you to look at the bizarre C3 Connect Notes study, weeks leading up to Presence Conference 2013. (Emphasis ours in underline.)

35 Don’t you have a saying, ‘It’s still four months until harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest. John 4v35
(all references NIV)

It says: “don’t you have a saying?” We all have a saying.
– We can say one thing, but God says this: we can’t go without the presence of God.
– Moses and the people set out, but they pleaded: “Please God, don’t let us go without your presence.

The presence of God defines who you are. When people meet you they don’t just experience you, they experience God.

The church is a place of the second chance – but the church is also the house of promise.

TALK ABOUT:
* Are you ready for the hour we are about to step into? Are you willing give [sic] him all of your life?

Ps Greg French moved extensively in the prophetic after this message. We would like to encourage all leaders to have a special prayer and ministry time in your connect group this week. Remember you are a sufficient minister of the Holy Spirit! ‘..Our competence comes from God. 6 He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant—not of the letter but of the Spirit..’ (2 Corin 3:5-6)

Source: CN08Apr13 – Carrying The Presence Of God

Let’s see if Phil Pringle honestly used the single verse in the ‘bible study’ in context. Did he handle the words of Jesus accurately? Does God overwrite all our sayings to correct us? Let’s see what Jesus said:

“My food,” said Jesus, “is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work. Don’t you have a saying, ‘It’s still four months until harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest. Even now the one who reaps draws a wage and harvests a crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may be glad together. Thus the saying ‘One sows and another reaps’ is true. I sent you to reap what you have not worked for. Others have done the hard work, and you have reaped the benefits of their labor.” John 4:34-38. (Emphasis ours.)

So what has this verse got to do with God’s presence™? It doesn’t. But what is Pringle trying to say? That God will override our sayings to say something else?

Pringle used ONLY John 4:35 to explain that, “We can say one thing, but God says this: we can’t go without the presence”. This could be true BUT Jesus in his next breath says in AGREEMENT that, “the saying ‘One sows and another reaps’ is true“. So… what is going on?

Why did Pringle exclude this? If he kept the scripture in context wouldn’t people be able to see that God can be in agreement with our sayings?

We are assuming he wants people to think like this in the bible study:

As a reader, are you ready for the hour you are about to step into: Presence™ Conference 2013?
How is it possible to give God all your life if you do not go?
Don’t you realise that God is telling you that you can’t go without the Presence™ of God?
Can’t you see that if you say “I might not go to Presence™ Conference”, God might be telling you to do the opposite?

It’s wrong for Phil Pringle to make Jesus out to be a liar. When you read the verse in its context, the entire bible study is debunked and made pointless. This seems to indicate that Pringle is misleading his entire Connect Group network with this study to try and get people to go to his Presence Conference. Quite frankly this is despicable behaviour coming from a ‘pastor’.

But it get’s worse…

WHAT IS THE C3 VISION BUILDERS DINNER & THE C3 VISION?

Before looking at the Vision Builders marketing ploys Pringle weaves in his teachings, it is important that you understand the ‘Vision Builders’ dinner.

We’ll let C3 explain what it is.

If you do not know what the ‘Vision’ of God is to Phil Pringle, it is this. (Also watch the video via below source link.)

“Our vision for C3 Church is to see 1000 Churches planted by the year 2020 with an average attendance of 500 members.” – 2020 Vision, C3 Church Global, http://c3churchglobal.com/cms/2020-vision. (Accessed 14/06/2013.)

With this in mind, it is time to look at how Phil Pringle convinces people to sign up for the ‘Vision Builders’ dinner so they can make financial pledges to C3 Church’ building initiatives.

VISION BUILDERS MARKETING GIMMICKS

Here is what you will find advertised on the myc3church website. Ask yourself this question: Who “prepares a table” for you? God or C3?

To reduce the size of this article, we will only look at C3’s Vision Builders video and C3’s latest ‘bible study’ Connect Notes.

Here is the video.

The transcript reads:

“What a humbling thing it is to realise that God, the Creator of the universe, maker of heaven and earth, has prepared a table for you. Long before you acknowledged Him, your place had been set, the invitation extended. Taste and see that the Lord is good. It was not a place you could earn or deserve. You were lost. Dead. But now, you are found alive, caught up in his great story. And so before you is a banquet. A feast of provision. That you may play a part in the midst of darkness bringing the light.”

Like other Vision Builders dinner, Pringle encouraged people to bring their wallets to the table and make pledges to the C3 building fund. (Quick reminder: The light is Jesus, not our money.)

There is something seriously wrong with the video presentation. Do you think this advert has gone one step further than worldly marketing? How do you feel when you watch this? Who is really preparing the table? God or Pringle? Who is really asking people to give cash? God or Pringle? Who is asking you to expand in your sacrificial giving? God or Pringle?

The lines were deliberately blurred to entice and pressure C3 members to give sacrificially. But would God really want people to give financially at this event?

C3 BIBLE STUDY CONNECT GROUP NOTES

If that’s not disturbing enough, look how Phil Pringle in the last two weeks planned out the C3 Church bible study connect group notes.

CN03Jun13 – GRAND DESIGNS: PURPOSE, PLANS & PURSUIT

CN11Jun13 – GRAND DESIGNS: SPARE NOT – Ps Phil Pringle

You can see bible passages are being twisted in these Connect Notes when Pringle wants people to ask these questions:

TALK ABOUT:
* Have you ever had a time of stretching with God?
* Are you ever tempted to “bail out” or “dig up the seed” in waiting for God to grow something in you?
* Does it encourage you when God says you shall expand or His people will inherit?

Source: http://www2.myc3church.net/sites/default/files/CN11Jun13.pdf (03, June 2013.)

Here is this weeks Connect Notes questions:

TALK ABOUT:
* What is your part of God’s grand design? Are you looking to the Bible to affirm the plan of God?
* Discuss how our church leadership and vision is always exhorting us to expand and look out.
* Are you involved in the width, the length, the depth or the height of his plan? Where is God calling you? [Note Pringle’s allusion to
* How are you investing in the future of His magnificent house? How can we each step up rather than only attend meetings?

Source: http://www2.myc3church.net/sites/default/files/CN03Jun13.pdf, (11, June, 2013.)

These questions should be properly revealed this way:

* Have you ever had a time of stretching with Phil Pringle pressuring you to give money?
* Are you ever tempted to “bail out” or “dig up the seed” because Phil Pringle keeps telling you, “God [wants] to grow something in you”?
* Does it encourage you when Phil Pringle says you shall expand or His people will inherit?
* What is your part of Phil Pringle’s grand design? Are you looking to the Bible to affirm the plan of Pringle (or testing what He says to what God says)?
* Discuss how our church leadership and vision is always exhorting us to expand and look out.
* Are you involved in the width, the length, the depth or the height of Pringle’s financial plan? What is Pringle calling you to do?
* Discuss how you are investing in the future of Phil Pringle’s ministry? How can we each step up rather than only attend meetings?

What’s the answer to the last question? “How are you investing in the future of His magnificent house? How can we each step up rather than only attend meetings?” Answer: Go to Vision Builders.

Is this biblical? Do people realise they are being financially duped by Phil Pringle? Do they know what they are hearing is not the biblical context but a deceptive marketing scheme? How should members feel if they are being manipulated like this? Is this the way Phil Pringle should run his church?

Please pray that members get wisdom and and understanding so they do not put themselves under financial stress.

Vision Builders Phil Pringle C3

Here is the latest Vision Builders booklet.

C3 Vision Builders Booklet 2013

If you would like to find this document on the myc3church.com website, scroll over the button at the top of the page titled ‘Community’ and click ‘Vision Builders’.

proof_myc3church-VBflyerguide_12-06-2013When the next page loads, scroll down the page until you hit “Download the brochure”.

proof_myc3church-VBflyerguide2_12-06-2013It will take you to the Vision Builders pdf.

Our first article on C3 Church Watch was pointing out Phil Pringle’s Vision Builders Campaign was exploiting C3’s poorest members. Sadly, this hasn’t changed.

In our third article ever on C3 ChurchWatch we raised our concern with ‘Christians Against Poverty’ (CAP) working alongside the immoral nature of the C3 cult. We do admire the work CAP does in people’s lives. However, we would strongly suggest that CAP would distance themselves from Christian City Church Oxford Falls. Why?

In the 2013 ‘Vision Builders’ brochure, C3 writes about their achievements through CAP. They now consider CAP’s achievements as their own.

“Christians Against Poverty

Last year, 100 families struggling financially were assisted through our 2 centres. As a result, many people received Christ for the first time. In

January we launched our new City Campus CAP Centre, with Monica Olander as the Manager.Since beginning our ministry with CAP we have assisted 490 families, and have seen 130 decisions for Christ.”

Source: Vision Builders 2013 Brochure, http://www2.myc3church.net/sites/default/files/C3-Vision-Layout-FINAL4-optimised.pdf, pg. 6. (Accessed 12/06/2013.)

So CAP has led 130 people to Christ? What’s wrong with CAP doing this? Nothing is wrong if members of the CAP are genuinely concerned leading people to Jesus Christ. However, they are leading these people into a Word of Faith cult that scams people of the little money they have. This is tragic.

We have enough evidence to say that the C3 institution preaches a different gospel and binds people to give sacrificial financial offerings so God can bless them materially. As Dr Choo said about CHC, so too are his words applicable to C3 Oxford Falls: “This is not Christianity. This is not the gospel. This is a SCAM.” Since when is it right to exploit people who are in “out-of-control” debt?

Sadly, this undoes the wonderful work of CAP. The CAP are only furthering the support of destroying people’s financial future by working with the C3 cult. The proof of this is in this Vision Builder 2013 booklet. C3 writes,

“I am in significant debt, should I pay off my debts or give to Vision Builders?

If you are in ‘out of control’ debt, after your tithe the debt should be your next priority. Reducing the debt to a manageable amount (or even clearing it completely) should be attempted as you also make a manageable gift to Vision Builders. Remember no amount is insignificant.”

Source: Vision Builders 2013 Brochure, http://www2.myc3church.net/sites/default/files/C3-Vision-Layout-FINAL4-optimised.pdf, pg. 13. (Accessed 12/06/2013.)

So why would the CAP endorse a cult that teaches it’s members to give money they don’t have to ‘the vision’ of Phil Pringle? The idea behind giving money to Phil Pringle’s prophetic vision is that God will materially bless the giver. You will not find this ‘Christian’ teaching anyway in scripture and is nothing more than a financial con job.

This is not the first time the C3 cult has decided to financially exploit it’s poorest members. This is the fourth year the C3 cult has had this information in it’s Vision Builders campaign material. You’d think by this stage they would have removed it.

Instead we have continually recorded C3 Church exploiting their financially struggling members in their heavily marketed Vision Builders campaigns.

Vision Builders 2012 Brochure

Vision Builders 2011 Magazine

Vision Builders 2010 Magazine

Why are Christians in C3 Church not concerned about this? Why is CAP supporting C3 Church? Are they not aware that the people they are taking out of poverty are bought back into poverty when they are introduced to the C3 cult? Why is Phil Pringle exploiting the poorest people in his congregation?

How is this loving?

AsiaOne Examines Phil Pringle And His Relations To Kong Hee

Newsgroups are becoming aware of C3 Church Watch. We have received a few emails from various journalists. AsiaOne reports:

Pastor is target of watchdog group…

NEW people have come on board City Harvest Church (CHC)after several of its leaders were suspended from their posts by the Commissioner of Charities (COC)on Tuesday.

On the same day that founder Kong Hee and four others were charged with misusing over $50 million of church funds, CHC appointed Reverend Phil Pringle and Rev A.R. Bernard as advisory senior pastors to continue providing spiritual leadership.

“Pastor Kong is still our senior pastor,” executive pastor Aries Zulkarnain said on Thursday in a statement.

Rev Pringle is the founder and senior minister of Christian City Church in Sydney, Australia.

Now in Singapore to support CHC, Rev Pringle is himself the target of a self-appointed Christian watchdog group, C3 Church Watch.

The blog said it was “designed to watch and monitor C3 Church and its pastors, specifically Phil Pringle.”

It has raised questions about the New Zealand-born pastor’s religious credentials and teachings.

Rev Pringle moved to Australia in 1980 with his wife, Chris, to start Christian City Church in Sydney.

The movement has over 300 congregations globally, a far cry from the 13 people in the first service.

His Facebook biography said: “Our 2020 Vision is to plant and grow 1,000 churches and we’re ontarget to meet this.”

Local news reports first mentioned Rev Pringle in 2010, when Kong, 47, was called to help the police who were investigating the alleged misuse of church funds then. He had met the Kongs during their honeymoon.

“From the start, I always felt a great affinity with Kong and Sun (Ms Ho Yeow Sun),” he told CHC’s online portal, City News last year.

“There are some relationships that God joins together, and you’ve got to recognise, respect and nurture those relationships, no matter what.”

This article is in response to Phil Pringle endorsing Bob Harrison to AGAIN speak this past Sunday at C3 Church Oxford Falls (10/06/2012). Bob Harrison spoke at both the morning service and night service on ‘Increase’ (a very typical Word of Faith type of message). You can view his ‘bible study’ in the connect notes below.

Bob Harrison, C3 Connect Notes – 12/06/2012

Harrison came just in time to preach a message that is convenient to Phil Pringle’s ‘Vision Builders’ event (which is actually on today). This article will be looking at more than just Bob Harrison and his credentials as a minister. It will be looking at who Pringle associates himself with. As we’ve recorded in the past, Phil Pringle does not hold a legitimate doctorate.

Is Doctor Phil Pringle Really a Doctor?

Nor does Phil Pringle’s ‘National Director of Australia for C3 Church Global’ Gordon Moore hold a legitimate doctorate. Phil Pringle’s long-time friend Kong Hee also does not hold a legitimate doctorate.

What Is Wrong With Gordon & Kong?

(^ In the article above please note that “The implication is that those people who got their degrees and doctorates from unaccredited institutions cannot use the title “Dr.” in their referent, or even if they use it, it is a fake “Dr.”, like calling a woman without a child under her care as “mother”.“)

New Covenant International University, where Pringle, Moore and Hee got there doctorates from are NOT accredited. The New Covenant International University is a diploma mill.

However, Phil Pringle also endorses and upholds the ministries of Kenneth Copeland, Benny Hinn, Rodney Howard Browne, Joyce Meyer. (We will be doing future articles on his associations with the above ministers.)

Pringle upholds the above teachers teachings and promotes their resources in his C3 library for C3 college students. All four are extreme Word of Faith heretics, all documented and proven to be so by proper teachers and ministers of God’s Word.

BUT did you know that Kenneth Copeland, Benny Hinn, Rodney Howard Browne, Joyce Meyer ALSO all hold illegitimate doctorates from the same diploma mill?

They got their doctorates from ‘Life Christian University’ (LCU).

The LCU states:

“The Christian degree programs of Life Christian University are designed to equip students to follow the Lord in the work of the ministry. For this reason, we have chosen to be accredited through Transworld Accrediting Commission International (TAC).

Now in their 25th year, TAC accredits and assists Biblical theological schools, seminaries, universities, colleges, and institutes throughout the world. They provide supervision for over 100 member institutions, including major denominations and well-known world-wide ministries, in 23 states within the USA and 6 countries.

TAC is an independent accrediting agency that exists to help the religious world obtain accreditation that is not government affiliated. All TAC member institutions around the world accept credits from other member schools, if the credits apply to their programs.

We have chosen not to seek governmental school accreditation offered by the U.S. Department of Education or a regional accrediting association because we believe we should not allow secular institutions to dictate the qualifications for instructors or the programs for a Spirit-filled ministerial degree.

As a Christian University, LCU offers academic programs that are specifically designed to equip students who feel the call of God on their lives and wish to build a ministerial career or to further their Christian education. It is not for persons intending to build secular careers.

The articulation and acceptance of LCU credits or degrees by other institutions, including employers, must be determined by the respective institutions. This form of ministry accreditation is not recognized by the United States Department of Education, but is recognized by most churches, ministry institutions, and ministry organizations.” – Life Christian University, LCU Accreditation, http://www.lcus.edu/about/accreditation.php, (Accesed 01/03/2012).

Wikipedia also records that the ‘Transworld Accrediting Commission’ is an “unrecognized higher education accreditation organization”.

It has been documented on ‘Christian News Today’ that LCU has stated previously on their website,

“Many full-time ministers continue their education to the doctoral level through our Distance Learning program. These doctoral programs can include work in which the minister is currently involved and advanced standing is awarded for published works. Our illustrious alumni include such internationally-prominent ministers as…” – Rodney Howard-Brown & Friends, Christian News Today, http://www.christiannews.0catch.com/rodney.htm, 13/04/2012 (according to ‘archive.org’). (Accessed 01/03/2012.)

The list above at CNT provides a list of people that LCU have qualified. The list at LCU has updated their information. They write,

“The distinguished ministers shown on this page are some of the most renowned preachers and teachers in the world today. Many are recognized throughout the entire world, but all of them are famous in heaven. It has been the privilege of Life Christian University to recognize their published works, along with their lifetime ministry achievements in consideration for earned degrees from LCU. The Doctor of Ministry, the Doctor of Missiology, the Doctor of Theology and the Doctor of Philosophy are all earned degrees, recognized for the highest level of academics and spirituality. LCU is honored to be associated with God’s greatest ministry gifts given to the Body of Christ today.” – Life Christian University, LCU’s Distinguished Degree Holders, http://www.lcus.edu/distinguished_graduates/index.php#. (Accessed 01/03/2012.)

Their page shows those who have come through their courses with their diploma mill doctorates:

“Dr. Kenneth Copeland
Ph.D. in Theology

Dr. Gloria Copeland
D.Min. in Theology

Dr. Benny Hinn
Ph.D. in Theology

Dr. Joyce Meyer
Ph.D. in Theology

Dr. Rodney Howard-Browne
Doctor of Theology

Dr. Adonica Howard-Browne
D.Min. in Pastoral Theology…

Dr. Bob Harrison
Ph.D. in Theology”

Life Christian University, LCU’s Distinguished Degree Holders, http://www.lcus.edu/distinguished_graduates/index.php#. (Accessed 01/03/2012.)

Let’s face it. Phil Pringle is associating himself with the wrong crowd. Why did Phil Pringle invite someone as dodgy as Bob Harrison to speak at C3? Bob Harrison in his Connect Notes misused every single scripture. Luke 5:1-7 is not about how Christians can understand “the purpose of increase”. Proverbs 23:7 is not about God giving us “success and increase for us in every area of our lives”. In context the scripture actually says,

“Do not eat the bread of a selfish man, or desire his delicacies; fr as he thinks within himself, so he is. He says to you, “Eat and drink!” But his heart is not with you.” Proverbs 23:6-7

This is good advice from Proverbs. Why should Christians put up with these Word of Faith heretics that hold diploma mill doctorates?

Before reading this article, please read Part 1, Part 2, Part 3 and Part 4.

WHEN A PROPHECY FAILS…

In Part 3, we recorded Pringle saying,

“Immediately afterwards when that happens, when Warragamba Dam does spill over, that’s the time that the Lord will bring a fresh new move of the Holy Spirit all around Australia. And we’ll see a move of God like we have not seen before”. (Emphasis mine)

In Part 1, we encourage you to watch Pringle prophesy at the C3 Church at Oxford Falls, how revival was going to hit the building. In Part 4 we analysed the prophecy itself. In this final article, we will be looking to see if the prophecy was fulfilled at C3 Church Oxford Falls.

In looking at the above quote, when Warragamba Dam was reported full, was revival immediate? On the 4th of March 2012, Pringle preached a message titled Heartbeat – Servanthood. Their uploaded video showed us… There was no revival at the C3 Service. There  is a LOT of seats behind Pringle.

In that night time service on the 4th of March 2012, Mark Kelsey preached a message titled Heartbeat – Servanthood. C3’s uploaded video showed us… There was no revival. Drat!

The following Sunday morning (11/03/2012), Pringle preached a sermon titled the The Engine Room. Was their a revival? Were there queues outside wanting to come into the house of God?

What about that night service on the same day (11/03/2012)? Pringle preached a similar sermon with the same name: The Engine Room.

For Philip Day’s Saturday night session ‘Let there be light‘ (17/04/2012), it looked as though C3 disabled the camera that gave us the shots we needed to see the audience. But the next day on the 18th, while Peter Paauwe preached Breakthrough Part1, we saw… No revival. Empty seats lay scattered around the room. (Note them in the foreground and at the back of the room.)

By now, this prophecy is already looking ridiculous. But just in case someone justifies from C3, “God’s ways are not our ways’, we must continue. Maybe, God was going to move that night? Nope.

By this stage you may be thinking this is tedious. But we have to do this. Either God is going to bring a national revival through C3 or Phil Pringle is a false prophet. The following week on the Sunday morning, 25th of March, Pringle preached a sermon titled ‘The Engine Room: Connect’.

C3 didn’t upload a sermon that night. But we figured if their was a revival in that meeting, they would have definitely filmed it to prove to every other church that their church was the one with God’s blessing. The following week on Sunday morning 1st of April 2012, the joke was on C3 as Pringle preached ‘The Engine Room: Revive’. There was still NO revival.

That night while Pringle preached another sermon, seats were still empty (see them in the background).

A month has passed and Presence Conference is about to hit C3… Was God going to show up at C3 Church so Presence could experience revival? It seems logical that if God was going to move, it would be before the before Presence Conference. Why? So the international audience can bring back ‘God’ to their country God.

This would fulfill the prophecy of Pringle because God told him when the Warragamba Dam floods, it wasn’t just C3 church and all of Australia that were to experience revival. It was going to be a global revival. So when John Bevere spoke on Resurrection Sunday morning… was… there… revival? (Look at all the empty seats behind Pringle.)

That is a LOT of people short of a revival. Cross your fingers for Pringle, tonight God must show up or else…

So there is no prophecy fufillment. None.

… A PROPHECY FAILS…

But maybe God DID move after Presence Conference? If you’ve seen footage from the Presence Conference scattered around C3 Church Watch, you know revival did not turn up. If revival broke out at C3 Presence Conference in Darling Harbour – then God would contradict himself in the prophecy as mentioned in Part 4.

So was there going to be revival AFTER the Presence Conference? Steven Furtick preached that Sunday morning (15/04/2012), a message titled ‘Stay Behind The Guide’. You can see empty seats straight at the back of the auditorium.

Nope. What about the night service?

Did revival happen next Sunday morning (22/04/2012), while Pringle preached his sermon Connect? That’s also a lot of empty seats behind Pringle again.

Did revival come when Andrew Kubala preached ‘The power of a seed‘?

No. While the room is dark and smokey, if you look to the seat at back of the room, they are empty. More seats remained empty the following Sunday in Mark Kelsey’s sermon on the 29th of April. There was no revival.

The night service that Sunday wasn’t full either.

Pringle’s Inception movie sermon the following week on the 6th of May 2012, did not experience revival.

In Pringle’s continuation on Inception that night… there was no revival to be seen.

On mothers day on the 13th of May 2012, there was no revival while Pringle spoke on ‘A Mothers Worth‘.

Even that night, there was no revival.

When Mark Kelsey got up the following week to speak Sunday morning on the 20/05/2012, there was no revival.

However, he had this to say to the congregation in the giving message. Was he saying this because people were feeling cheated from Pringle’s false prophecy?

“I don’t know about you but I get frustrated sometimes. We have got one of the greatest churches in the world, one of the greatest worship teams. We’ve definitely got the greatest pastor in the world. We’ve got the greatest pastoral team. The greatest connect leaders, what have you. We’ve been given Christ. We have the bible. We have the New Testament. We have the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. And yet people sit there and go, “Yeah well. It’s not quite enough is it? You know we gotta…”.” – Mark Kelsey, Justin Richards, 35:47-36:19, http://www2.myc3church.net/videos/justin-richards, Night Service, 20/05/2012. (Accessed 11/06/2012.)

Of course it’s not enough Mark Kelsey. Didn’t you hear what the “greatest pastor in the world” prophesied? Didn’t you hear yourself say “I get frustrated sometimes”? Why is Mark Kelsey chastising the sheep in his congregation when it is his prophet that prophesied falsely that revival was going to come?

In spite of this, Justin Richards spoke that night. No revival.

The following week (27th of May 2012), a speaker by the name of Jamie Haith, spoke at C3’s morning service… Where revival was still a no-show.

Jamie Haith spoke that night where revival still refused to turn up.

Then on the 3rd of June, Pringle gave his morning money fleecing sermon, where revival still remained absent. Ironic that Josh Kelsey made the claim of Phil Pringle “We have the best leader in the world” (23:25), when this was the video camera shot that followed:

In the continuation of Pringle’s groom-a-thon that night, the storm of revival did not turn up.

CONCLUSION

C3 said the dam overflowed on the 3rd of March. We have recorded the ‘spiritual’ status of each Sunday service to the 3rd of June. This is a three month period.

It is safe to say that:

God DID NOT say, ““Immediately afterwards when that happens, when Warragamba Dam does spill over, that’s the time that the Lord will bring a fresh new move of the Holy Spirit all around Australia”

God DID NOT say, “Watch me. That thing is going to overflow. And as it overflows, a revival is going to come through the nation.”

God DID NOT say, “the power of God is gonna touch this city with revival”.

God DID NOT say, “the Spirit of God is gonna fall on this nation”.

God DID NOT say, “the power of God is gonna pour down out of heaven”.

God DID NOT say, “If you will build my house, if you will commit yourselves and not give yourselves comfort but will build the house, I will fill this place with my glory”.

God DID NOT say, “these [c3 church] seats will be full!”

God DID NOT say, “Every service you come, you will queue in line to be in the house of God”.

This prophecy is a lie. A scam. We have thoroughly examined in all five articles that Phil Pringle prophesied falsely. There is no escape room for Pringle.

Not only did he mislead his entire church, he mislead thousands of Christians around Sydney. Not only did he also mislead thousands of Christians around Sydney but also across Australia. Not only did he deceive thousands of Christians across Australia, he also mislead thousands of Christians across the world who attended his Presence Conference 2012 and watched him falsely prophesy online.

To recap all that we’ve explored in this series of articles, in:

Part 1 – we looked at how C3 purposely distorted information at their Sydney Presence Conference, taking snippets and screen grabs fromNews Articles and blogs to portray the world as wrong and Phil Pringle as some Godly prophet.

Part 2 – we looked at how C3 and Pringle mislead people to believe that God used Pringle against media and ‘false prophets’ to prophesy that the Warragamba Dam would be full again. We examined how C3 and Pringle used this prophecy twice to advertise and elevate their movement to Christians and churches locally and globally. We explored that it was highly likely that Pringle prophesied out of reaction against those he dislikes and pride.

Part 3 – we looked at Pringle’s further insight to his Warragamba Dam prophecy to help us understand the actual prophecy itself and what he thought this meant. He informed us that C3 met the conditions God said through him so C3 can experience revival.

Part 4 – we analysed the Warragamba Dam prophecy and proved it to be false.

Part 5 – we examined every service for three months to see if revival would break out “immediately”. This was from the time Warragamba Dam overflowed (03/03/2012) to June (03/06/2012). We have proven that the prophecy has not come to pass with it’s promise of a revival.

The right thing for Pringle to do is to humble himself, apologize and step down, admitting he has done Christianity a massive disservice. How many Christians will have their faith shaken or shipwrecked because C3 convinced them to put their faith and hope in the words of a false prophecy?

We would like to know if any information in our articles is wrong. If you find any information that is misleading in our investigation of Phil Pringle’s false Warragambe Dam prophecy, please Contact us at c3churchwatch@hotmail.com.
