Pringle links Satan’s hand to Singaporean Courts: “[Satan] thinks if he attacks the church it’s going to die”

[UPDATE 27/10/2015: Transcript of video added]

In the below article written by Phil Pringle and in his YouTube video, Phil Pringle once again claims Kong Hee’s innocence to his church, once again insinuating that the Singaporean courts are being used by the devil.

Worse still in the video, Phil Pringle is deliberately throwing pictures out to portray Kong Hee as Christ and the Singaporean authorities as the corrupt court of the Sanhedrin, who relied on blood money and false accusation to murder Jesus. This is no different to Kong Hee’s message at Presence Conference 2012 to win blind support for his case in front of hundreds and thousands of Christians around the world.

Why is it acceptable to portray the Singaporean government as slanderous murderous men?

Furthermore, Pringle in his video also portrays Kong Hee as the Apostle Peter before governing authorities. But there is a huge difference between the Apostles and Kong Hee. They were persecuted for preaching the gospel and falsely accused because of their message.

However, Kong Hee is not in court because the government wants him to stop preaching the gospel. He is in court for mishandling church funds of up to $46,000,000 to finance his wife’s musical career. That’s a far cry from the “crimes” of the Apostles.

Phil Pringle writes,

PHIL PRINGLE COMMENT ON KONG HEE COURT CASE

This Wednesday, the CHC court case will end, and a verdict will be read over Kong Hee. Our job as fellow believers is to stand in faith with our brother.

On Wednesday 21st October, Pastor Kong Hee’s court case in Singapore will conclude and a verdict will be read. Below is video footage containing my comments on the matter. This video was recorded during our 6 p.m. service at C3 Church Oxford Falls.

When you’re building the Church, you’re never going to be found without a fight. Our job as fellow believers is to stand with each other when we are facing trouble. At the end of the day, it’s easy to stand for Jesus, but it’s more challenging to stand for one of his servants when they are facing difficulty. In this coming week, our good friend Pastor Kong Hee (Senior Pastor of City Harvest Church, Singapore) is going to be standing in a courtroom and a verdict will be passed on him after a 5 year long trial – the longest trial in Singapore’s history. I know Pastor Kong Hee to be an honest, true and faithful minister of Christ. He has also been extraordinarily effective in raising up one of the truly great churches (CHC) in the world, bringing hundreds of thousands of people to Christ. Jesus has told us this kind of advancement would not go uncontested. We must be prepared to be immovable, strong and faithful to Christ through all the challenges we face in building His Church. Ultimately, it is the Courts job to arrive at a verdict. But we are praying for victory. There is a sentiment against believers, but the devil has always got it wrong. He thinks if he attacks the church it’s going to die, he even tried it with Jesus, but He just came up out of the ground again. I believe we have a victorious Christ ruling over His house, His Church and His Kingdom.

You can find a reliable summary of the trial available here: http://www.citynews.sg/2015/09/city-harvest-church-trial-15-sep-2015-video/

See you in church!

TRANSCRIPT

“I want to take a second, for us all just to take a minute to pray for Pastor Kong Hee.

This Wednesday he is going to be standing in a court room in Singapore after five years of trial, the longest running trial in Singapore history. And so I’m going to go up there and stand with him in the court room and ahh you know it’s not my job to judge, rights and wrongs but I do believe it is our job to stand with people who are in struggling situations.

He is one of the most pure hearted, holy men of God I know. One of the most devoted, dedicated, like rugged soldiers for Christ that I’ve ever met. There are some people that are like ‘I’m not so sure I actually want to try to stand but Kong Hee he’s impeccable in integrity in these areas and it’s just that he’s been caught up in it.

This has become a very complicated processes, the prosecution has not been able to provide one piece of evidence of him wrongfully gaining anything or the congregation wrongfully loosing anything, in terms of finances.

But as I say it’s not our part to reach that judgment, that’s in the court’s hands. And do you know Paul and Peter, a lot of these guys found themselves in very difficult situations with the Government authorities and put in predicaments that were scary for the Christians cause they were associated with them and ahh when Jesus got convicted as a criminal and was sent to the cross to die, it was pretty difficult for the disciples to say, ‘we know him, he’s a friend’ they scattered and I don’t want to be that, I want to say I’m standing, I don’t understand everything all the time but I think when we see a good brother, a faithful brother in trouble we should stand with them, in Jesus name.

So let’s pray for one minute here for him right now, Lord we pray for your hand to be upon Pastor Kong and the anointing of the Holy Spirit to be in his life, let the power of Christ rest on him, in Jesus name. Let a miracle come to pass, a miracle of deliverance and victory by the mighty power of the Holy Spirit, in Jesus name, let your presence fall now on our brother and those other defendants, let them all know the power of God on their life. In Jesus mighty name we believe God, Your presence, Your power, Your Holy Spirit falling in Jesus mighty name, our God we praise You.”

We recently covered the stories of C3 not reporting pedophilia to appropriate authorities and also attempting to cover it up.

And recently Tony Abbot and Mike Baird made appearance at Phil Pringle’s C3 Presence Conference.

Our government may be ignorant about the conduct of Phil Pringle and C3.

C3 Parramatta Scandal

C3 Parramatta Scandal (Part 2) – The cover-up scandal that Pringle refused to deal with…

However, Tony Abbott appeared to support ‘Royal Commission inquiry into child sex abuse’:

Mr Abbott made clear that support for an inquiry would only be given if it did not focus on just one organisation. He effectively said he would not back a royal commission which looked only at the Catholic Church. He said in a statement that “if the government were to propose a royal commission to investigate the sexual abuse of children, it is something the Coalition would be prepared to support”. “Any investigation must be wide-ranging, must consider any evidence of the abuse of children in Australia, and should not be limited to the examination of any one institution,” he said. “It must include all organisations, government and non-government, where there is evidence of sexual abuse.”

Phil Pringle hasn’t got an empathetic bone in his body?

To C3 members who read our site, have you ever wondered why Phil Pringle never treated you as a pastor should? Ever thought why he never cared about you the way other pastors do? Well, here is Phil Pringle explaining to you why he is not fit to be a pastor.

[Click to download video]

“You gotta know what your sweet spot is and what your sweet spot is not. I have found that my life is more about the “to-not-to-do” list than the “to-do” list.

When I became a Pastor there were all kinds of expectations on me. In my own head mostly I felt what a Pastor is meant to be. He’s meant to visit people in a hospital. He’s meant to counsel people. He’s meant to bring a sermon. He’s meant to sit in committee meetings. He’s meant to do this and that. And all of these things were in my head.

But the first time a person came to me for council, I felt, the whole anointing that I had go. Everything left me.

My shoulder’s slumped, all the energy went out on me. When this woman started talking to me I felt like I had no answers I didn’t know what to do, I was so tired. She’d be speaking for two minutes and I was worn out. So, I put my hands in my head as though I was deeply concerned, but I went to asleep.

The weird thing was when I woke up she was still talking. It kills me. I am not a councilor, do not come to me for council, you will be worse at the end of the session.

I have no empathy bone in my body. I feel for some things, but I don’t ever make decisions. And I can’t be worried about all the little feelings of people all the time. I’m sending people into war, I’m sending couples like this to cities I’ve never been to, San Diego. They come up and say, “Oh what’s going to happen, oh… GO!”

“Hospital visitation! Oh Lord! Hospital visitation!

Pastors are meant to go the hospital.

“Pastor can you come? Our baby’s about to die. Oh, you know, we just want you to be here with us.”

“Oh that’s a terrible situation.”

I drove over – Chhhh! – like this. I run up the stairs. Now you know, I’m not good with blood and medical things. I was talking to a nurse in New Zealand- we had our New Zealand Conference recently. Eight hundred pastors and wives in this thing just two weeks ago – and one of the pastors wives tells me she’s a nurse.

She says, “Oh it’s so wonder when you’re in surgery to hold the lungs of the patient there and feel them breathing.” [Makes gagging noises] You it’s just, I don’t cope. Oh! I go all weak. You know?

When a comes to me and says, “I’m pregnant,” I go, “Oh!” all over you know. I get a shiver. I go- I don’t cope with all that stuff.

Someone says, “I got a little problem up here in my mouth.” And they show me you know, some absinth. And I go, “Ahhhh!” I’m not- I’m not good with that.

So I run up this thing and there’s this poor little baby that’s [inauible]. And it’s had terrible problems and it’s only kept alive by a machine and they’re gonna be turning the machine off. Oh God! It’s just so terrible.

But I walk in and the room is like, dark. And it’s the intensive care room. And there’s these little babies. And there’s incubators around the room. And there’s deet-doot-deet-doot-deet-doot-deet-doot and chkyaw-uh-chkyaw-uh-chkaw- all these sounds going like this. And I walk and there’s not a lot of air in there. And I start seeing those little dots, you know in front of your eyes before you’re going to faint. Those little stars that boom-boomba.

I thought, “Good God! I’m gonna faint.” And I said, “Hi everybody! Hi!”

And I could hardly see them. It’s like a snow storm now. I’m going like – [makes short breathing sound] – I thought, “I’ll reach out. I’ll just lean on this bench and let the faint pass-t. I wont be able to talk. I’ll just stare at them and then- I’ll be fine.”

And I lean out to put my hand in the bench. But it’s not a bench. It’s a trolley. And the trolley starts going like this! I go- right out through the SWING DOORS!

BANG! BANG!

Out into the hallway. K’BAAM!

I’m lying on the ground and the nurse’s knees are in my face saying, “Can you hear pastor Phil?!?”

And I can hear her. I can see her but I can’t talk.

“Ugh! UGH! – UGH!!!”

I’m trying to do something. … Not a sweet spot. You don’t want me visiting you in hospital.

I know what I’m meant to do.

I went to India to be a missionary at one stage. People said it would break your heart. The six week tour of India preaching. I hated it so much.

I didn’t like the people. I didn’t like. I thought, “Am I a Christian? My God! This is awful! This is so awful!”

I come back to Sydney Australia and I see this guy’s mullet. You know like hair hanging out here, pushing a shopping trolley, arguing with his wife. And I started weeping.

“God I love these people.” And I knew where I was called. The to-not-do list becomes more important than the to-do list because everybody will try to get you to do stuff that’s got nothing to do with what he ordained you for before you were born, in Jesus name.

It takes a lot of courage to not do some things. It takes more courage to say no than to say yes and trying to be a people pleaser. The secret to misery in life is trying to keep everybody happy. You got to stop trying to keep everybody happy and say, “Look, I just can’t do that. This person can do it. They’re much better at it.”

When people come to me and ask if I can heal the sick, you know I can do it every now and then, you know, pray for them and it happens. But Andrew Kubala is far better! Why would I want to be the hero? Batman. Superman. Spiderman. Clergyman.”

Source: Phil Pringle, “Find Your Flavor” // Phil Pringle // 03.16.14, Vimeo, https://vimeo.com/89512591, Sermon time: 14:00, Preached 16/03/2014, Uploaded 09/032014 at 10:49 AM. (Accessed 28/07/2015.)

And what if you do get sick?  Who will pay the church mortgage? Who will pay for the regular junkets overseas? Who will pay for the “vision” and the Vision dinners? Please, stay in good health – it’s your job to serve and keep him in the manner he’s become quite accustomed to.

Don’t expect Phil Pringle to serve you within the guidelines of a pastor in 1 & 2 Timothy and Titus. He’s said so himself.

Trial of City Harvest Church leaders to resume next week

Channel News Asia recently reported the following,

Trial of City Harvest Church leaders to resume next week

The third tranche of the trial involving the six leaders of City Harvest Church resumes on Monday. Church founder Kong Hee and five of his deputies are accused of misusing millions of dollars belonging to the church, between January 2007 and October 2008.

SINGAPORE: The third tranche of the trial involving the six leaders of City Harvest Church resumes on Monday.

Church founder Kong Hee and five of his deputies are accused of misusing millions of dollars belonging to the church, between January 2007 and October 2008.

Kong Hee, John Lam, Chew Eng Han, Tan Ye Peng and Serina Wee are accused of channelling S$24 million into two companies – Xtron and PT the First National Glassware (Firna) – to boost singer Sun Ho’s career.

Ultimate Assets was a third firm identified by the prosecution that was allegedly used as a financial vehicle.

Firna and Ultimate Assets are owned by Wahju Hanafi, whom the prosecution is alleging has close ties to the church.

Chew Eng Han, Tan Ye Peng, Serina Wee and Sharon Tan face a second set of charges – misappropriation of some S$26 million to cover up the first sum.

The prosecution is alleging that Kong Hee had set out the timeline of monetary transactions to be completed between the church and various companies, in order to use the funds to boost Sun Ho’s career. The order from him was said to have come in an email to Serina Wee, Tan Ye Peng and Chew Eng Han on 29 July 2008.

In the email, Kong Hee asked them to come up with a solution for the projected shortfall in the glassware firm Firna.

Firna is owned by Indonesian church member Mr Hanafi, who was a main supporter of Ms Ho’s career.

The timeline also included when Xtron was to sell bonds to AMAC Capital and when Xtron was to redeem the S$13 million bonds.

AMAC is owned by Chew Eng Han, who was responsible for making church investments.

The firm is also said to have been used by the accused as a financial vehicle to commit their alleged offences.

But defence lawyer Edwin Tong argued that Kong Hee had nothing to do with the numerous Firna transactions, including its draw down details and convertibility of bonds.

Firna’s owner, Mr Hanafi, testified to this.

The defence described Kong Hee’s attitude as conservative and careful when it came to budgeting his wife’s foray into the American music scene.

In an email dated 28 July 2008, Kong Hee asked co-accused Serina Wee and Tan Ye Peng to provide worst-case scenarios.

He also asked them to work out the estimates if only a third of the profit came from Ms Ho’s English album.

Emails dated as early as 2006 between American music producer Justin Herz, Kong Hee and Tan Ye Peng also apparently showed their efforts in managing the budget.

But the prosecution dismissed this.

In a February 2005 email, Kong told American music producer Justin Herz to “plan as if ‘the sky is the limit'”, before they work out how to get funds for the project.

The trial also shed light on how Ms Ho’s music career in the US was launched.

She was deemed to have huge potential.

The net profit from her first English album was estimated to surpass US$25 million with expected sales of two million copies over seven years, from 2007 to 2012.

But the court was told previously that Ms Ho’s album only sold 200,000 copies.

The American producers had projected that revenue would exceed the $13 million bonds that Xtron had issued to raise funds for Ms Ho’s music.

The glowing estimations meant that the singer’s publicity budget was set between that of superstars Beyonce (US$17 million) and Shakira (US$12 million).

So far, the prosecution has based its case on the various financial transactions between the church, Xtron, Ultimate Assets and Firna.

It argued that these were meant to cover up the misuse of funds.

But the defence disagreed, saying auditors and lawyers had gone through them and there was nothing sinister.

For example in 2008, Firna had issued bonds to the church to raise capital.

Posing the question to Mr Hanafi, the defence said it was only logical to restructure the debts if the church wanted Firna to redeem the bonds before the stipulated three years.

Mr Hanafi agreed.

Another issue was keeping stakeholders in the dark.

The prosecution sought to show this through a chain of emails dated 12 October 2007 between three of the six accused – Chew Eng Han, Serina Wee and John Lam.

The three had allegedly discussed how they could withhold information from the church’s investment committee and board members.

Chew Eng Han said he wanted to keep the investments the church is making to as small a circle as possible.

But the defence argued that the church had to be discreet about their involvement in the Crossover Project – which serves the church’s mission to reach out to the secular world – for it to be successful.

The church’s aim for the project was to reach out through Ms Ho’s music.

Another area of contention was whether Xtron directors

Choong Kar Weng and Mr Hanafi were “rubber stamps”.

The court had heard how the church instructed the two on draw down amounts and dates and how church trustees were left out of the loop.

But the defence said Mr Choong and Mr Hanafi were the ones who gave the ultimate approval to matters, to which both witnesses agreed.

The role of the church’s trustees also came under scrutiny.

During the 20-day hearing, the court heard Susan Ong defending Xtron as a

legitimate firm.

She also testified that the trustees left decisions on church investments to Chew Eng Han, as he had the expertise.

The trial is expected to last until September this year.

Pringle Encouraging CHC Members To Shun Criticism & Promote “Good Guys”

In his book ‘You The Leader’, Phil Pringle instructs readers how they can make   members defend leaders like himself:

“When we’re in the trenches getting fired at, I don’t want soldiers at my side wondering why their leader is being fired upon. People like this can eventually turn their guns on their leader. They imagine the Enemy must have good reason for shooting at their leader, and so they begin firing also.

Once we’ve been in the trenches a few times, we realize who can be trusted under fire. Even if the leader does make a mistake, that is still no reason for those around him or her to attack. I want to know that my team will be loyal to me when the attacks are unjustified, and when they are justified.” – Phil Pringle, You The Leader, 2005, pg 265-266.

If you do not consider this to be a form of mind control, then consider this article:

C3 Bible College Students Taught To Be Manipulative Leaders

In relation to the above qoute, Phil Pringle recently spoke at his church and started using the above method.

What Is Phil Pringle Trying To Hide? *Update 3* (03-07-2013)

Not long ago, we learnt that Pringle again spoke at City Harvest Church. It comes to no surprise that Phil Pringle refuses to address any substance to people’s claimsabout C3 Church or City Harvest Church. His entire sermon was grooming CHC members to be soldiers and to fight for God. Here is Pringle again conditioning people to not listen to the world outside of the constructed ‘church’.

Well Pringle, Jesus Christ has this to say about your approach to ministry:

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you clean the outside of the cup and the plate, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence.” Matthew 23:25

People have indeed seen straight through the facade. In response to Pringle’s behaviour, a commentor from CHC Confessions said,

“Phil Pringle the salesman preacher is insulting the intelligence of CHC members by asking them not to visit websites. When the light comes, darkness flees and it’s obvious the CHC leadership is interested is to keep their members in darkness and ignorance.” – Euphamist Ic, https://www.facebook.com/CHCConfessions/posts/629711277048253?comment_id=6796149&offset=0&total_comments=9, 03/07/2013. (Accessed 04/07/2013.)

Looks like Pringle doesn’t want his poor ‘critic’ with “three followers on twitter” to be heard or have him grow in popularity.

“I’m gonna tell the whole world, “You’ve got three followers on Twitter!” – Phil Pringle

Some obvious questions needs to be asked to Phil Pringle’s involvement with City Harvest Church:

    1. Why does CHC insist in having Phil Pringle as their Advisory Pastor?
    2. Isn’t Phil Pringle more of a liability then an asset?
    3. Is Phil Pringle worth the risk for CHC?

What do you think?

EDIT (04/07/2013): We thought it was appropriate to transcribe Phil Pringle:

“…..He says – take a teaspoon of concrete and harden up! Amen? Man up
Pringle – so I put the harness on and I walk into battle and you know, now,
after 30 years, I feel a little weird if there isn’t a problem.

I feel a little bored – I feel like, this isn’t very exciting. We’ve got no
big issues going on.

You’ve got to get used to the feeling that the christian life is a battle.
You get tempted here, people will criticize you there, things are going to
come at you from behind and in front.

AND by the way, don’t go clicking on all those websites, you know, with
negative stuff on them.

Click on truth, amen, click on the good guys, click on all the C3 churches,
CHC (City Harvest Church) churches – ” upgrade” their ratings, “like” this,
“like” this, “follow” him, “tweet” this, “retweet” that.

There’s such a temptation to go and read the junk, the nonsense. But every
time you “click”, you give another vote for it. You know these guys – don’t
do that! What do you want that in your head for anyway?

These are just some more of the battles, there’s just a little battle over
there.

You and I need to front the battle full on, on the inside of our heart and
say “you know, all these invisible forces that try to attack us, I’m going
to stick up the sheild of faith, it’s not going to get me.

I believe God, we’ll get through this, we’ll get through that, we’ll
overcome this, we’ll beat this thing. I’m going to get over that, this is
going to go back from me, I’m not going under, I’m going over.

As you stick up that shield of faith and start speaking the word of God, you
repel all the fiery darts of the evil one. The only way you get good at
fighting is fighting.

So, if you’re not fighting today, stand up on the inside and say “You know
what? Time for me to get into battle, time for me to join King David in the
stronghold and get in the game.”

Beyond Words… Pringle Sinks To New Depths At Global Presence Conference 2013

c3, c3 church, c3 global presence conference, c3 oxford falls, C3 Presence Conference, c3church, C3OF, cash, ccc, CCC Global Presence Conference, ccc oxford falls, ccc Presence Conference, cccof, CHC, chc scandal, city harvest, City Harvest Church, conference, critics, finances, financial offering, giving, kong, Kong Hee, kong hee scandal, money, Phil Pringle, Presence, Presence Conference, Pringle, rort, scam, scandal

At his Global Presence Conference 2013, Phil Pringle got thousands of Christians to financially support Kong Hee’s trial back in Singapore. Pringle did not inform those present what the allegations against Kong Hee and his staff were about.

Below is the video and transcript. Here are some of our observations what Pringle said:

  • Although Pringle did not want to encourage Christians to financially support Kong Hee’s defense lawyers “under any compulsion or pressure” Phil Pringle laid the pressure on people to give.
  • He manipulated people into giving by censoring the central facts of Kong Hee’s trial and parading him as an innocent and righteous blood-stained martyr in a pagan world. He did this by comparing Kong Hee’s circumstances to John Bunyan’s and the early church Apostles circumstances.
  • Using cat-fight and division-like tactics, Pringle used defamatory commentary against Christians who are questioning the integrity of Kong Hee, Sun Ho and himself. After slagging off Christians as ‘enemies’, he called for the church to be unified again around Kong Hee and Sun Ho without explaining why they were being charged. (For someone who thinks that Christians “are getting a little numb” to criticisms now, Pringle makes sure to attack them publicly.)
  • Pringle twists the Apostle Paul’s words so Christians would close their eyes, ears and minds to the truth. When Pringle said, “Don’t be moved as by as a letter as though from us”, he was referring to 2 Thessalonians 2:2. This is why there IS division. Paul wanted the church to avoid men like Pringle that would twist his words.

The above is not an exhaustive analysis of what Pringle said. We encourage readers to examine and discuss the claims we have made above. We are looking at doing a thorough analysis of Pringle’s special offering message at another time. In the mean time, here is Phil Pringle’s message:

“Oh Jesus! Your Presence™ is heaven to us.

You know I- I want to do a couple more things tonight before we finish. If I can have the lights go up a bit.

Uh- I’m hesitant to do this but I just feel we should. And I don’t want you to feel under any compulsion or pressure or anything like this. And I’ve only ever done this once before in a Presence Conference as to add another offering but I know the costs that are involved in Kong Hee making his defense. It’s not small.

It’s not even six figures. It’s seven and it’s multiples of that for the legal defense and for seven people are charged. not just Kong himself. Happily, two weeks ago, Sun was completely exonerated from all charges against her. [Crowds Applause]

You can be seated. Thank you. Just for a second. I know it’s half past time but we’re cool. It’s ANZAC day.

I would like you just to take a card, an envelope if you’ve got one nearby. And if you’d like to participate in this, I’d like you to consider doing that. Whatever you can do it would be helpful, I know, to them. This will all go completely to Pastor Kong to help with his- costs. He has to pay this week $680,000 I think it is, for his legal fees. He’s covering his whole team’s fees. They have to mount a vigorous defense over three years. Those numbers weigh heavily on- on a person and they have prohibited him from asking his own congregation for any help.

He can not use any of his own church funds. They’ve sold there- they sold the unit they were in. Others have moved to help them in other countries and I would like to think that we can be friends to these people in one of their darkest hours.

We do not face this kind of situation. It’s hard to even imagine it or feel it. But I’ve been on the front page of newspapers. And I’ve been on the six o’clock. And I’ve been on a Current Affair when Mr Hinch was around even then. And I was there. “Shame! Shame!”

And uh- and uh- and it’s- it’s a terrible, terrible feeling. But I- you gotta know that the reason we- this- this- none of this comes cheaply. And I’m not talking cash. Nothing of worth is achieved without some opposition. And you can tell the value of a thing you’re trying to achieve by the level of opposition that you’re getting.

And so- there’s a price for the anointing. There’s a price for the growth of the kingdom of God. And when we’re called to come up with that price- whatever it is- there’s not a disciple or an apostle that didn’t go through some immense contradiction in life. To achieve the things, the scriptures that we read, are penned in blood. There are martyrs all through the centuries and persecuted people. John Bunyan was thrown in prison. I think it was eleven times before he wrote ‘Pilgrim’s Progress’. Finally he wrote it.

He figured, “This is why I’m in here”. Hehe! I’m not sure if he ever went back in there but cos he was preaching so ferociously. They just kept throwing him in.

And I think it’s an awesome thing. If one member in the body has suffered. If other members bear the pain as well, a little- and so I would like to do this right now.

One of the things that’s happened- it’s one of the brightest pieces of light in the last three years in this situation- that recently Sun was exonerated because there was insufficient evidence, they said. So there was a public outcry, “Why then in the first place was there any suspension of her office?”

And that was one of the questions asked. And uh- it continues, you know. But that is th- that is a beginning. That is a bright piece of light for- and the press- the last press release I read was uh- halfway positive- and halfway negative. But it uh- it wasn’t as nearly as DAMNING as the others had been.

Let’s pray together and ask God to help us with our giving here to bless our brother. And if you are unable to, pray. If you can, do. Go ahead and let’s uh- be a blessing to Pastor Kong and Sun and the great City Harvest Church. One of the greatest churches in the world without any shadow of a doubt. A church that is changing the ratio of Christian populations in certain countries.

Heavenly father, help us stand with this man and woman you have chosen to serve you and have given you everything. Laid down their lives in so many ways. And Lord we pray as we stand with them here tonight for the blessing of God to rest on our giving, in Jesus name. And every body said, “Amen”. [Camera shot on Kong Hee and Sun Ho praying] Thank you very much. Hallelujah!

You know uh- I knew when we saw the 2014 line-up of speakers for next year, I thought uh, “Pastor Kong is not there. He’s here every year. So I need to ask him”.

[Kong Hee nods ‘yes’, stands up and salutes Pringle to receive applause] Will you at least do one session for us next year? Please! You know. You must do one session for us. [Crowd applauses.]

And I thought, “I want to do that before the end of the night” because exactly what Son said, “Next year when we are here”. That’s one of the greatest statements of faith you’ve heard in this conference. I don’t expect you to fully understand that but because they are facing two trials. One in may and one in August. In Singapore you will see lots of negative stuff. You will read lots of blogs by Christians as well that are terrible, negative, attacking, all kinds of things and we live in that kind of age.

But I think people are getting a little numb to it now. I saw on some comments on Facebook today about this conference. I’m thinking, “Oh! PLEASE! You know! Get over it in Jesus name! Amen! Get a life! Do something! Win some people to Jesus! You know like- our worst critics and enemies are within our own deal, for goodness sake. Can’t we get it together and discover the things that unite us are far more the things that divide us in Jesus name. Amen!

We’re here to build the church, not tear it down. I’m not gonna get into cat fights with anybody. Amen! I’ll just ignore it, move on. Thank you Jesus. “Try the other cheek!” Amen!

It’s all good. Don’t go out there and be moved by these things. Paul had it all the time. Don’t be moved as by as a letter as though from us. People would fake his signature and write letters about the resurrection being over and criticising him. Ridiculous! It’s always been around.

But things like Joey Bonofacio was saying this afternoon, God allows things to shake us. To shake the things that can be shaken so that we’ll lose them and so that the things that cannot be shaken will remain and get stronger. Amen!

That’s why you get shaken. [Crowds applause] Woah!

But be immovable. Be unshakable. Don’t be shaken in mind or troubled in heart by those sort of things. Stand strong. Know what’s right and do that in Jesus name. Amen!”

Answering The Question About Phil Pringle’s Orthodoxy

Before watching this sermon of Phil Pringle at the C3 Church San Diego, imagine Phil transported backwards in time to the early church. Let us lay out the scene…

Philip of Corinth finally afforded to buy Askepios’ shrine at Epidauras, a place well known for healing people. With renovations complete (and statues of himself in the courts), he started preaching at his new church.

He managed to afford sophists to advertise and encourage local churches and early church fathers to visit his new church to advance the Kingdom of God.

With some church fathers present (Polycarp, Ignatius, Barnabas and Justin Martyr), the charismatic sophist wanted to prove to them how orthodox he could be. Irenaeus insisted on staying home to scribe how Philip was peddling gnostic beliefs and imitating pagan religions around him. Nevertheless, the ‘critic’ was finally persuaded to check out Philip’s church to hear what he had to say. The early church sat and listened as they listened to Philip’s sermon: Parable Of The Dog.

How do you think the early church father’s would have responded to Phil Pringle’s level of orthodoxy?

“I’m gonna tell the whole world, “You’ve got three followers on Twitter!” – Phil Pringle

In the below quote, Pringle narcigetes 2 Samuel 30:6 to justify, explain and warn his congregation on some peculiar things. It is clear in his use of the text he seems to somehow see himself as a ‘king’ over his church and within the offline or online communities. To clarify, the New Testament does NOT teach that a pastor is a king, nor is Phil Pringle Jesus or Moses. If you have been reading the various articles on Phil Pringle here, it should be pretty clear he is clearly a false teacher and a false prophet. It is this type of person Jesus warns us against in Matthew 7.

In this article, we reveal Pringle provides some interesting information in a sermon he gave in 2011.

      1. Pringle teaches that people in his church may “get wounded” and experience “distress” and “grief”. If it was the world persecuting the church that is understandable. However, Pringle provides the context of his warning. He says Christians in his movement could experience with other Christians (in or outside his movement) traumatic experiences that may test their loyalty to him and his movement. If it’s gossip this is understandable. However, once again – the point of controversy within the framework of his teaching evolved around him. Which leads to our next point.
      2. Pringle reveals he has been approached by people who have said that they will “go to the newspaper”. He emphasises that he has heard people say this “many times” to him. This tells us that people HAVE expressed their concerns to him and he has rejected them, their reports or corrections. The result being, people have seemingly stated to Pringle they will “go to the newspaper” because issues were not personally resolved with Pringle.
      3. Pringle alerts us to the fact he is aware what people are saying on Facebook and blogging communities about him and his movement. In June 2011, MyC3ChurchReview (MC3CR) was established around the time C3ChurchWatch started up. It is possible that Pringle may have been referring to the manager of the MC3CR site who also started a twitter account with about three followers. In spite of what is being said online regarding his teaching or practices, he has shown that he would rather mock them or ‘stone them’. This only goes to show Pringle refuses to be corrected or deal with certain false doctrines, his false gospel, scandals within his movement, bad behaviour or false methodologies.

Here is the transcript:

“The leader who had transformed their lives, turned them into men (feared by the entire country side)- now they want to stone him because they are in such grief because the “soul of all the people was grieved. Every man for his sons and his daughters.”

When people are upset they want to blame somebody.  And, “Isn’t he the guy who led us down to do this battle down there? Let’s just stone him!”

It happens. It’s not- not uncommon. Moses. “Isn’t he the guy? Let’s stone him!” Jesus. “Let’s stone Him!” You know. These guys had a- they we’re always addicted to getting stoned. [Audience laughs] It’s like, “Let’s just stone him! Let’s just throw stones! Let’s gossip! Let’s go to the- let’s go to the newspaper!”

Argh! Golly! How many times I heard that? “I’m gonna get all the press down there and yuhyuhgruhyuh!” You think it doesn’t happen? There may even be a day when you’re tempted to think that because something happened when you want out to battle and family members or friends or yourself- you get wounded and you’re in such distress, such grief- that’s the moment where there’s deep loyalty tests.

And you find those moments in life! Everybody does! “I’m gonna Facebook them! Obladyuhyuhyuh!!!” “You wont like any of this on my blog baby! Iya-blurdludludludludle!!! Blog away!” Everybody can have a shot of being heard! I’m gonna tell the whole world, “You’ve got three followers on Twitter!” – Phil Pringle, Ps Phil Pringle: Prayer 4 – I Like People, http://www2.myc3church.net/videos/ps-phil-pringle-prayer-4-i-people, 77:01, C3 Oxford Falls, Sunday Night Service, 25/09/2011.

proof_myc3church-4ILikePeople_20-02-13

There is one last thing to consider. Don’t you think it’s odd that Pringle implies that he’ll only listen to you depending on how big your following is on twitter? What other standard must a Christian uphold so that Phil Pringle might listen to their concerns and act on them?

We’ll end with Mark Dever talking addressing the faulty ‘church growth’ standard and application that ministers like Pringle adhere too.

PP’s Potty-Mouth Preaching On Monism?

Christian Witness Ministries reports Phil Pringle teaching the following.

The Question being: “What do you think is under this sheep clothing-?
Is it — a real shepherd, a wolf or a false prophet?” (Matthew 7:15)

Phil Pringle ( PP ) was recorded at Wellington on the 19th March 2002

PP ” The atmosphere you create will attract spiritual power. Spirits live in spiritual atmospheres. You can create an atmosphere that attracts God or repels God.”

PP then describes how Jesus wants to clean up certain areas, and focuses on the toilet.

PP “Jesus came to ‘clean us up’ “.

PP further describes how Jesus wants to clean certain areas of our lives that are ‘messed up’.

PP “He wants to clean up the brown smears on the bowl”.

Then in reference to the atmosphere (in the toilet) PP continues on.

PP “The power of God is a tangible force.”

PP goes on to describe the power of God as ‘stuff’.

PP “The stuff of God can actually live in your clothes. It can get in the carpet, it can get in your hair. The stuff of God, the anointing. This stuff can get into your body and heal it. This stuff can get into your bank account. Praise God, now we’re talking amen. I need some of that in my bank account. It’s imparted through the laying on of hands. It’s inside your body, when you lay hands on people it travels.”

LC – The whole idea that God is stuff is in essence Monistic. I.e. The concept that creation and God are essentially one and the same. It is a materialistic worldview and not supported by the Bible…

What is monism?

“Monism is the view that reality consists of one fundamental, ultimate essence.  It comes from the Greek mono, which means one.  All is one.  Therefore, in monism God and the universe are the same thing.  This would mean that energy, motion, matter, thought, consciousness, etc., are all of one substance but are perceived differently.

Monism stands in opposition to the dualism and pluralism but is often defined the same as pantheism, the teaching that God and the universe are the same thing.

Monism is unbiblical because it denies the distinction between God and creation.”

When You Align Your “Heart, Purpose and Financial Resources” To C3 – “Miracles Unfold In People’s Lives”?

It is fascinating that C3 reinforces the idea that when people give money to C3, miracles are unlocked. We have already covered the serious error of C3 teaching their members that we can trigger grace, buy salvation and buy miracles.

On the C3 website Pringle invites people to commit giving their cash so that “miracles unfold in people’s lives”:

“Invitation

Chris and I would like to invite you to become a Television Partner with Your Best Life. Recently you may have heard of the changes to streamline our Rise and Build, Beyond and Television Partner initiatives by combining these under the one banner called Vision Builders.

Vision Builders provides the opportunity for every member of the church to play a part in building tomorrow. We have seen miracles unfold in people’s lives as they have aligned their heart, purpose and financial resources with God’s vision to build His Church. As we each give our time and resources, together we will see lives transformed.

The new Vision Builders structure also enables us to offer tax deductibility to your giving for television where in the past it has not qualified for this. We are currently finalising our application for tax deductibility endorsement for our Television Partners initiative. We anticipate that this will be approved within the next couple of months. In the meantime we encourage you to continue to give as normal through our TV Partners program at this stage. Once our endorsement comes through, we will inform you of this and request that you redirect your television giving through the Vision Builders structure.

God Bless and thanks again for your support.

Phil Pringle” – Phil Pringle, Partner With ‘Your Best Life’, http://www2.myc3church.net/yourbestlifepartners, (Accessed 05/02/2013.)
