The credentials of “Dr” Phil

Before reading the below article, please read the folllowing article.

Is Doctor Phil Pringle Really a Doctor?

To this date we are not familiar with Phil Pringle gaining any further theological qualifications.

What a wascawwy wizard!

Potter JesusQuestion: According to Phil Pringle, what do J. K. Rowling and Jesus have in common?

Answer: The same creative force and substance that can materialise things into existence.

Pringle calls this creative force faith.

“Faith is a creative force. When we operate by faith, we employ the creative power of God.” – Phil Pringle, Faith, 2001, pg 66.

We have stressed for a long time now that Phil Pringle does not teach a regenerate faith or the Christian faith that saves sinners from the hands from an angry God. Rather, he teaches a faith foreign to the Christian faith found in the Word of Faith teachings which has its roots in the occult. Is it any surprise to anyone that Pringle will connect his own ‘faith’ and Jesus’ faith to the ‘faith’ of J. K. Rowling, the author that has popularised witch craft to children and families all around the world? Who knew that Rowling’s books are “fit for the kingdom of God”? Who knew Pringle would look to people like her to draw inspiration how to live a Godly life?

D. R. McConnell in his book ‘A Different Gospel’ compares the Word of Faith to the teachings of the metaphysical and Christian Science cults.

‘The Secret’ to Phil Pringle’s Doctrine of ‘Faith’

Phil Pringle Influenced By Occult/ New Thought/ Metaphysical Cult Teachings

How Pagan Can Pringle Get?

Before reading Pringle’s below article, we would like to quote again the metaphysical cult expert Ralph Waldo Trine who links his teachings to the occult:

“THERE is a golden thread that runs through every religion in the world. There is a golden thread that runs through the lives and the teachings to all the prophets, seers, sages, and saviors in the world’s history, through the lives of all men of truly great and lasting power. All that they have ever done or attained to has been done in full accordance with law.

What one has done, all may do. This same golden thread must enter into the lives of all who today, in this busy work-a-day world of ours, would exchange impotence for power, weakness and suffering for abounding health and strength pain and unrest for perfect peace, poverty of whatever nature for fullness and plenty.

Each is building their own world. We both build from within and we attract from without. Thought is the force with which we build, for thoughts are forces. Like builds like and like attracts like. In the degree that thought is spiritualized does it become more subtle and powerful in its workings. This spiritualizing is in accordance with law and is within the power of all.

Everything is first worked out in the unseen before it is manifested in the seen, in the ideal before it is realized in the real, in the spiritual before it shows forth in the material…” [Source]

Here is Pringle’s article:

The Vow

“Put your teeth together” commitment is where we see change and growth in our lives. In our faithfulness we see the change. Commit and you will see you persistence pay off!

But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” Luke 9:62

We often make a commitment because it looks easy or we like the outcome, only to find obstacles in our path and the task of achieving it becomes difficult. Put your hand to the plow, Jesus says, and stick with it. Make a commitment and don’t look back, look forwards. Become a product of your future and not your past, by conforming to the vision and not past events.

Joseph rose because he walked like a king and talked like a king while he was a slave and a prisoner. He became a product of his vision, not his past. This takes faith.

Faithfulness is different from faith: it is the quality of good character, persistence and consistency. Miracles are not predictable in the life of a Christian because God wants us to grow: we develop muscles when we have to fight through things instead of having the answer handed to us all the time.

When the insect battles its way out of the chrysalis, it is developing the wings it needs to fly.

There are 9 bones in the wing of a dove. Imagine that the 9 gifts of the Spirit are one wing and the 9 fruits of the Spirit are the other. Gifts are given but fruit is grown over time: if you only have one wing, flight is impossible.

Growth is imperceptible, it looks like nothing is happening most of the time. You plod along doing the same thing but if you compare yourself to several years ago you can see that growth has occurred.

Now it came to pass, when the time had come for Him to be received up, that He steadfastly set His face to go to Jerusalem. Luke 9:51

Jesus “set His face” to do the task at hand, despite how He felt about it. When you have committed to something you need to get over your feelings. Most of us know the internal argument we have when our alarms go off in the morning, you don’t feel like getting up, but you’ve committed. It is astonishing what can be achieved by simply continuing to do something every day of your life.

Plod along! Committing to God is like compound interest –it does so much more in your life than a lump sum payment can. Your persistence will affect every area of your life, developing character, endurance and faithfulness to give your Christianity a context and the muscles to pursue a breakthrough.

Joseph is one example from the Bible of persistence and many modern day heroes have had to overcome rejection and keep plodding along until they had a breakthrough from Thomas Edison to Michael Jordan:

– JK Rowling had 12 rejections from publishers and was told to “get a day job”.

– Colonel Sanders aged 67 was rejected by 1,009 banks before getting financing for KFC franchises.

They never could have achieved greatness if they had given up or refused to work on their visions because they didn’t feel like it. They were committed.

Commitment is not a word used in the Bible but it means “vow” or “pledge” which appears many times. Nothing is achieved without commitment, so make one today to pursue God and build His house and see what He will do in your life if you stick with it.

See you in church!

You can see Phil Pringle produce a painting in his Presence Conference 2014 promo:

Here is Jake Betlam encouraging bidders to buy (in faith) Phil Pringle’s “anointed” artwork :

Not only is Phil Pringle an artist, he likes to parade himself as a prophet to his church and to Christians in Singapore’s City Harvest Church,

“Prophet for Profit” Phil Pringle Enticing the CHC “Foolish Virgins”?

Apparently it’s important that you see Phil Pringle’s art as “anointed” if you buy it. Pringle had his henchmen say this about his art:

You Too Can BUY Phil Pringle’s ‘Godly’ Anointing!

This was the result of the auction. Who would have seen that coming?

So whoever the Singaporean person was, whoever bought the “anointed” painting from “Prophet” Phil Pringle in “faith”, well done!

You indeed bought Kong Hee his victory. Kong Hee is indeed innocent and the Singaporean government are those evil people that tried to bring him down. Well done for thwarting Satan’s plans by your obedience to buying Phil Pringle’s “anointed’ painting! What an amazing testimony! To God be the glory! The innocent Kong Hee has walked free.

…

Pfff! Who are we kidding?

Can this Singaporean get a refund for being scammed into buying “trash-heap” artwork? Clearly, Pringle and Betlam’s cheap gimmick gained them a $50,000 reputation, offering tainted money to needy people in the Sydney community. How well do Phil Pringle and Jake Betlam sleep at night?

C. Peter Wagner, dream, faith, goals, vision, Vision 202

In our first article, we established that Phil Pringle has promoted emphatically that his God-given 2020 Vision is to have “1000 churches planted by the year 2020 with an average attendance of 500 members”.

Prophet Pringle’s God-Given 2020 Vision Lie (Part 1)

In our second article, we proved that even if Pringle is telling the truth, he is rebelling against the infallible God-given 2020 Vision and redefining it to suit his own selfish purposes.

Prophet Pringle’s God-Given 2020 Vision Lie (Part 2)

So what on earth does Pringle mean by ‘vision’? Where does it come from? Who gives it? How does it work? What is it’s purpose? How should people react or behave around someone with ‘vision’? Is it a Christian teaching?

In this article, we will provide teachings of Phil Pringle’s irrational ‘vision’ doctrine. This article will continue to grow as we collect more information on Pringle’s ‘vision’ doctrine. We hope this post can help you begin to understand how ingrained this un-Christian ‘vision’ is with C3 church growth and the man Phil Pringle.

Similar to Pringle’s doctrine on faith, his doctrine on vision can also be associated with paganism. If anything, his ‘vision’ doctrine sounds more like spell casting or spell binding rituals to bind people to fulfill his personal desires. You will not find Phil Pringle’s bizarre ‘vision’ doctrine found anywhere in the bible.

IS PHIL PRINGLE ‘THE ONE’?

Here are quotes from Phil Pringle’s books, blogs and sermons.

BOOK: FAITH

“I know that there are some people who are perpetually negative. I sincerely believe that if you want to fly with the eagles you cannot afford to walk with the turkeys. I will walk away from those people when they start to attack the vision.” – Phil Pringle, Faith, 2001, pg 75.

“There is a screen within our mind upon which three projections are jostling for prime time… But then there is God. He has a projector with a preset, wonderful destiny as the main feature. As we enter the Spirit through praise and worship, God will form His vision within our thinking. We pray the prayer of faith. The vision of the answer comes to mind and we see it, in living colour. Jesus himself gained faith from the Father through visions. He declared that He did nothing that He did not first see His Father doing. If Jesus could see His Father do it, He had no doubt that He could. Once the vision of the fulfillment of your dream has been planted in your mind, bring it in to your prayer life.” – Phil Pringle, Faith, 2001, pg 102.

“Once the vision of the fulfillment of your dream has been planted in your mind, bring it in to your prayer life. Each time you pray the picture to mind and meditate on it. Pray over it. See it happening. Destroy all the images of failure. Replace them with the image of success.” – Phil Pringle, Faith, 2001, pg 102-103.

“Right now in my life I spend much time dreaming over my visions of faith. I know this works. I would be a fool to ignore it. Remember, one of the mightiest keys in the Kingdom of Heaven is faith. Vision is a major part of faith, for we walk by faith and not by sight. Faith is directly contrasted to natural eye sight.” – Phil Pringle, Faith, 2001, pg 103.

BOOK: YOU THE LEADER

“Warren Bennis, as quoted in In Search of Excellence, calls the leader a “social architect.” When a leader is a God-person, a God-seeker, vision is planted deep inside. God often speaks in pictures to God-seekers, especially to leaders. Pictures are the visual language of the Holy Spirit to reveal God’s blueprints for what He wants to build.” – Phil Pringle, You The Leader, 2005, pg 34.

“Vision is the gift of faith in action. We see this principle lived out in the realm of church leadership quite frequently. C. Peter Wagner concludes that among all the leaders of growing churches that were studied by what is now known as the Fuller Theological Seminary, there is at least one commonality- the gift of faith. He writes,

A study of the largest churches in America has led to the conviction that the faith of the pastors was one of the main contributing reasons for the church’s growth. The spiritual gift of faith was a common denominator found in the pastors of the largest churches.

George Barna also conducted extensive research on church life in the last decade. He states, “My work with churches has led me to the conclusion that the single most important element in having an effective and life-changing ministry is to capture God’s vision for your ministry.”” – Phil Pringle, You The Leader, 2005, pg 35.

“No matter what the realm of leadership – the home, the workplace, the church, or the community – the vision is crucial. Leaders must funnel their faith into action so that life-changing results.” – Phil Pringle, You The Leader, 2005, pg 35.

“Leadership is clear vision. Without eyes, or without light to aid those eyes, we grope in the dark, unsure of our steps, cautious, afraid, and moving slowly. This is not a leader. A leader is bold and can see the future. “Seeing clearly” is imperative for the leader.” – Phil Pringle, You The Leader, 2005, pg 35-36.

“Faith is what God works through to effect the visions He has given us. He speaks to us, and then, with the faith we have, we believe what He says. Faith is the conception of what is possible before it is seen: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, for the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1). By faith we believe in the impossible becoming possible.

This is what leadership is all about. Leaders see what no one else does. In Ephesians 3:20 NASB – “Now to Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that we ask or think…” – the Greek word for “think” is noieo, which means “to exercise the mind or intellect in comprehending, heeding, considering, pondering, perceiving, thinking, understanding, observing, seeing, conceiving.” Leaders actually conceive a reality within themselves before the event happens. This is what a vision really is. It is not just a hope, a wish, or a desire. It is a knowledge that a certain thing is going to take place because of a number of factors:

•    God has spoken a strategy that works.
•    The strategy has been adopted.
•    Realistic plans have been made.
•    The team can see it happening.” – Phil Pringle, You The Leader, 2005, pg 35-36.

“When we meditate in the manner described in Scripture, we take our minds into the realm of conception and the place of perception of the purposes of God. Great leaders of the bible, such as Joshua and David, thought deeply and continuously about subjects that were invisible to them until they became realities perceived by their spirits. We read in Joshua 1:8 and throughout the Psalms that they meditated on the Word of God until it became a reality within them, not just a theology. They meditated upon visions of the future until they knew that what they were seeing was more than just imagination.” – Phil Pringle, You The Leader, 2005, pg 36-37.

“This same conceiving process is what God employs in church growth. We supernaturally see our churches growing; we sense the growth within our spirits. Growth is a reality we experience before we actually have it.” – Phil Pringle, You The Leader, 2005, pg 37.

“Good leaders hold positive, views of the future. We believe God fulfills our dreams, and our dreams are enlarged. Our desires exceed what we currently have and where we currently are.” – Phil Pringle, You The Leader, 2005, pg 37.

“We ask God to hear our prayers. As we read, meditate, study, and speak the incredible promises of God (2 Peter 1:4), our faith grows. God speaks to us at our level of faith (Acts 14:9-10), and we find ourselves believing what He has said (Romans 10:17). His truth becomes a reality within us until we can see it (Hebrews 11:1). Our organization is larger. It has grown. We speak it because it is real. We are not pretending. We know something that did not come to our consciousness by way of the natural senses.” – Phil Pringle, You The Leader, 2005, pg 37.

“Another faculty has released this knowledge: our spirit. It is God’s Word in our spirit. It creates a reality that registers in our spirit. We live by this spiritual knowledge and walk in its light.” – Phil Pringle, You The Leader, 2005, pg 38.

“Goal setting is another integral part of achieving any dream. It is what takes a supernatural vision into the material realm where we can see it being accomplished.” – Phil Pringle, You The Leader, 2005pg 40.

“Goal setting is another integral part of achieving any dream. It is what takes a supernatural vision into the material realm where we can see it being accomplished.

C. Peter Wagner has stated,
For reasons I do not fully understand, some power is released through setting positive goals that otherwise remain dormant. But although I cannot explain it as well as I wish it could, it is a biblical principle that God seems to honor. Goal setting is the modern biblical equivalent to faith, without which it is impossible to please Him (Heb. 11:6). Faith is the substance of things hoped for. Things hoped for are, of course, future. Putting substance on the future is what happens in a faith projection (goal-setting) exercise. ” – Phil Pringle, You The Leader, 2005, pg 40.

“Dr. David Yonngi Cho, who pastors the world’s largest church, says of his church’s remarkable growth. “The number one requirement for having a real church growth- unlimited church growth- is to set goals.”” – Phil Pringle, You The Leader, 2005, pg 40.

“Remember, Those who have the gift of faith are growth-oriented, goal-oriented, optimistic, and confident. – C. Peter Wagner.” – Phil Pringle, You The Leader, 2005, pg 42.

“Vision could be just as well described as “vibration.” The leader feels the vision as a vibration. He or she then imparts the feeling to others, who accept the vision and run with their leader to make it happen. The leader has seen something that ignites fire in their souls.” – Phil Pringle, You The Leader, 2005, pg 43.

“A vision is something worth living for, and it is something worth dying for. In fact, if it is not worth dying for, it is not worth living for. Brave, godly martyrs throughout history have proven time and again that what we as Christians live for is worth dying for.” – Phil Pringle, You The Leader, 2005, pg 43.

“The leader feels the pulse of a burning passion and communicates that heat at every opportunity. He or she lives the dream, breathes the vision, sleeps the mission, and eats the goals every day. The leader shares those goals all the time with everyone. It is a vibration the entire organization can feel.” – Phil Pringle, You The Leader, 2005, pg 44.

“When you have to set down the rules all the time, you know people have not caught the dream. People who have caught the vision instinctively know what is appropriate and what is required. They don’t care what it takes; they live to make the dream reality. At the risk of sounding unrealistically romantic, I have to say that unless the hearts of the team members beat with the pulse of the leader’s dream, it’s never going to fly.”  – Phil Pringle, You The Leader, 2005, pg 44.

“The leader is the bell ringer, the trumpet blower, the drum beater, the vibration maker, and the vision caster… A great leader imparts the burden, inspires commitment, and sets the pace for achievement of God’s purpose.” – Phil Pringle, You The Leader, 2005, pg 45.

“A leader always has one major message, and this weaves into everything he or she does. It remains the primary focus. A leader is to some degree a  prophet, a person with a message. Great leader [sic] see things that others don’t. They preach it until others can see it as well. Their message supports the mission. A leader is a preacher, a person who communicates the fire of the mission. Not all preachers are leaders, but all great leaders will be preachers of one sort or another.” – Phil Pringle, You The Leader, 2005, pg 204.

“The team members we choose need to be able to fight for us and for our vision. The people we choose must have the ability to fight and win. They need to have proven themselves in spiritual battles, and they need to have triumphed. They need to be overcomers. They need to display consistently positive attitudes. These people do not just attend, support, or watch, but they must fight-for us! They shouldn’t fight only for their own victories. They need to fight for the church. They need to defend the pastor when he’s criticized and fight for the church’s  reputation, spiritual health, and finances. They need to be genuine soldiers for God.” – Phil Pringle, You The Leader, 2005, pg 265.

“Abraham’s method is far preferable to getting someone from elsewhere. If people do come from outside, give them time to be “baptised” into the church, so they “own” the vision like everybody else. To become true sons and daughters of the church they need to drink the milk (accept the teaching), imbibe the spirit (accept the attitude of the church), and accept the name (be proud of belonging to your congregation).” – Phil Pringle, You The Leader, 2005, pg 269.

“The people we choose must display real unity with and affinity for the vision of the senior minister and the church. In the process of selecting people for roles in the church, we ask their opinion of the leadership, the rest of the team, and the church in general. We are not looking for yes-man, but if a person has problems with the senior minister and the church, then obviously he or she will cause problems on the team and in the church.” – Phil Pringle, You The Leader, 2005, pg 289.

“Whoever buys into the vision God has for the congregation develops an affinity for all that is going on.” – Phil Pringle, You The Leader, 2005, pg 289.

“The leader must constantly reinforce and restate the vision.

Though the team may have heard it many times before, restating the vision keeps everyone focused on the right things. Whatever the leader speaks on, the vision is woven into the topic so that every subject is viewed with the philosophy and priorities of the ministry in mind.” – Phil Pringle, You The Leader, 2005, pg 292.

“I will build my church. –Jesus of Nazareth

Jesus has a vision. He has a job to be done. He has determined to build His church. He calls men and women to work with Him to accomplish this dream. In the army of people He has enlisted are a creed called leaders.

Jesus raises up people as servants to Himself and as leaders of His people in order to fulfill His dream. He raises this army to lead His flock. He raises leaders to carry the plan of salvation to the world.

God has lofty reasons for raising leaders. Jesus has declared that He will build His church. The rock of manifest revelation is what Jesus builds His church upon.

Manifest revelation is the flash of light from heaven that pierces the souls of men and women. This is light, the life of God Himself. It is like a piece of God to us. It is food for our spirits. It is what faith is because it is clear knowing-not just thinking or hoping. It is a deep inner knowledge from heaven above.

God’s great leaders lead by revelation. Leaders must receive revelation from the Lord and take their people in that direction. It is vital that we understand what we are to preach, what we are to do, and what kind of organization we are to build through revelation from the Lord.

We must be motivated by the spiritual passion Jesus places within us. We need to build on the revelation God has given us, on our strengths, on who we are in Christ.

Good ideas are not good enough. They need to be God ideas. Just because someone else’s methods work does not mean they will work for us. God plants a unique set of gifts within each of us as leaders, enabling us to do a particular work for Him in a particular way. If we deny those, opting for something else that appeals to us, we forsake the means by which God wants to give us success (1Timothy 4:14).” – Phil Pringle, You The Leader, 2005, pg 305.

BOOK: MOVING IN THE SPIRIT

“Visions from the prophets are given to motivate their hearers to action.

One of the most sensational things on earth is a vision from God. Vision ignites fire in our spirit. It births the ‘prayer of faith’. It is imperative we see in the Spirit so we understand the will of God.” – Phil Pringle, Moving In The Spirit, pg 59.

“Visions possess greater significance than just entertainment! Visions have power.” – Phil Pringle, Moving In The Spirit, pg 66.

“The gift of faith is identified by unnatural boldness in prayer and preaching. It deals with others.

It is visionary. It views the future with absolute assurance and hope.
It thinks positively. It hates negativity.
It feeds on who we are in Christ and also our potential in Him.
It speaks to other people, to situations and often to itself.
Faith dreams and meditates on the finished results of prayer. It does not ponder anxieties.
It lifts others by injecting faith into their lives. It imparts the ability to believe and trust God.” – Phil Pringle, Moving In The Spirit, 1994, pg 90.

BOOK: TOP 10 QUALITIES OF A GREAT LEADER

“Whatever I want to achieve, I simply focus everyone on that point by using every means I have. The effective leader points people in the direction they are meant to be going. Without direction people wonder aimlessly. This is the point of leadership. We are meant to take people somewhere.

Often, it will be somewhere they don’t want to go, so the skill that convinces followers of the journey comes through communicating the vision, the goals, and the strategy to get there. If I am raising money for a building project, I preach on it. I also ask people to tell their stories of the benefits they have received through giving. We create up-market brochures and magazines that send the signal that we are serious about raising serious amounts of money. We regularly reinforce the message to our leaders. Our people must be refocused regularly. Everyone gets distracted. When we are distracted, our resources, energy, time, relationships, and money go to the distraction.

Leaders’ constant tasks are continually to bring our primary purpose to the forefront. Leaders’ pride can prevent us from repeating ourselves, casting the vision again and again. Yet this is the fuel of the organization. People are fired up by the vision. It reminds them why they are doing what they do, why they are going the extra mile, why they are making the sacrifices.” – Phil Pringle, Top 10 Qualities of a Great Leader, 2007, pg 76.

PHIL PRINGLE’S BLOG

“Isaiah 60:4-5 “Lift up your eyes all around, and see: They all gatehr together, they come to you: Your sons shall come from afar, And your daughters shall be nursed at your side. Then you shall see and become radiant.”

“Many times God urges us to lift up our eyes – Upgrade our vision, see further, broader, bigger. Not negative & downcast but positive & uplifting. Not self-oriented but others oriented.

I thought I had already ‘seen’ in verse 4. The point is we ‘see’ before we ‘see’. What do you see in your future. Dream your dream everyday. Your imagination is part of the creative process in your life.

Can you see sons & daughters coming from distant places? Can you see clients, customers, friends, great people coming into your life?

The point is – what we ‘see’ is what is going to happen.” – Phil Pringle, http://philpringle.com/2009/09/13/lift-up-your-eyes/, 13/09/09.

PHIL PRINGLE’S SERMONS

“Ken(?) and John called me the arch bishop the other night. But it’s sort of like that to present to you the over-arching culture and vision of where we’re going. Pringle Learns “Visualization-To-Abundant Realization”… From Sexually Active Goats?

Teaching “Visualization-To-Abundant Realization” Methods Aint Christian

A quick search on “Visualization-To-Abundant” in Google produces information on the following.

The title for this youtube video is “Secret Tool of Visualization to Manifest Abundance in all areas of your Life” with the following blurb:

“Secret Tool of Visualization to Manifest Abundance in all areas of your Life- Apply this Secret tool of Visualization to Attract ABUNDANCE IN YOUR LIFE , Manifesting with Ease and Joy : Money – Happy Relationships- Success – Achievement -My first Best-Selling Book – Beautiful Cars- Dream homes – Supportive Friends – Loving Partner – Vibrant Health – Wisdom – Happiness – Love – Gratitude Satisfaction – Easy Fun Travel – Giving and Receiving – Sharing – Consciousness – Much More – What Else is Possible?” – EduaPotor, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PSy9pQE639U, 01/08/2009. (Accessed 25/01/2013.)

You will also come across New Age, occult or scam websites saying things like, “Blending the practical with the magical“, “visualize the abundance you so desire“,  or “if we regularly visualize our desires, send positive messages (affirmations) about our desires to our sub conscious mind and have faith that our desires are acheivable and then persevere – our desires will materialise“. You should also come across websites that promote the secret laws of attraction. Simply by doing a Google search, alarm bells should be going off when these sites pop up. Why is a Christian pastor teaching things that are connected to demonic teachings?

We’ve already discovered how Pringle’s faith is not founded on Christianity at all but on New Age, New Thought and occultic sources. This should concern any genuine Christian who attends the C3 Movement.

While we have examined Pringle’s doctrine on faith, his doctrine on ‘hope’ is no different. In his latest book ‘Hope’ (endorsed by Yonngi Cho and Kong Hee), Pringle teaches readers how to practice the New Age technique of visualisation… through goats.

Yes, from goats. You’ve got to read it to believe it.

Pringle writes,

“Jacob’s Spotted and Speckled Sheep

In Ephesians 3:20, Paul says, “God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.” The Greek word for “think” here is no’eo, which literally means “to conceive and perceive.” So, once we are visualizing something, God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above it. An example of this “visualization-to-abundant realization” is exemplified in the spotted and speckled sheep of Jacob.”

(Phil Pringle, Hope, South Australia: Hyde Park Press,2011, pg. 40.)

Pringle decides to write a personalised narrative of the Genesis story of Jacob and Laban’s goat/sheep deal. Pringle narrates the following:

“In the heat of the next morning, he calls the great flock of Laban to the watering troughs. However, the goats and sheep arrive to a different scene than ever before. A spotted and speckled wall rises before them just behind the troughs. The larger, healthier, stronger sheep jostle easily to the front. The rams rise on the ewes as they drink, all of them mating with a full vision of spots and speckles before them. When the small and weak finally have their chance at the water, Jacob removes the wall. Every day, morning and night, he follows the same clever procedure.”

(Phil Pringle, Hope, South Australia: Hyde Park Press,2011, pg. 41-42.)

Pringle’s conclusion?

“But Jacob knew that his God had given him hope through a dream, a strategy-and all of it by the power of vision. As Jacob saw the spotted and speckled sheep, and as the sheep themselves saw spots and speckles, their vision had become a reality.

What we see is what we get. What fills our imagination is what will fill our lives. This is the power of hope!”

(Phil Pringle, Hope, South Australia: Hyde Park Press,2011, pg. 42.)

After reading what Pringle had to say on visualisation, do you honestly think Genesis 30-31 is trying to teach Christians how to visualise abundance like Laban’s goats supposedly did? Don’t you think it’s odd that Pringle doesn’t actually quote the biblical story?

The scriptures say that such men are “evil men and impostors” who “will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived”. (2 Timothy 3:13) Pringle says that he doesn’t preach a prosperity gospel.

Pringle Denies Preaching The Prosperity Gospel

Below is an excerpt from the above article.

“And the deal – some people accuse that – just what I said then, saying, ‘Oah! That’s prosperity gospel’ or whetever. I’ve never preached a gospel other than about Jesus my whole life. That’s the gospel: Jesus Christ. Beginning and end. You know I got no other message then that one.” – Phil Pringle, Steven Furtick ‘Stay Behind The Guide’, http://www2.myc3church.net/videos/steven-furtick-%E2%80%98stay-behind-guide, C3 Church Oxford Falls, 15/04/2012.

We have covered in the past that Pringle teaches that Jesus died to make believers materially rich. We also know that the faith he preaches is more occult-centered” than Christian centered. Once again, the evidence seems to point out that he DOES preach the false prosperity gospel and that he doesn’t preach the gospel of Christ and Christ crucified.

Phil Pringle in the House

Founder and President of renowned C3 International ministries, Phil Pringle, was in town during the weekend of 29-30 August 2009 to speak at City Harvest Church’s (CHC) English Services.

Phil Pringle, 57, visits the church in Singapore at least twice a year and has never failed to bring fresh messages to the 27,000-member strong church. “(Pastor Phil) never fails to bring a new Word and perspective of God to bless the congregation here at CHC,” says Benny Lin, 24, a facilities officer for CHC. “I look forward to his messages on faith and prosperity and I certainly experience personal breakthrough in my own life when I apply the principles of these messages.”

“God wants to bring freedom and victory to believers,” said Pringle on 29 August 2009, the evening service at the Singapore Expo. His sermon spoke largely of God having a purposeful plan for Christians and how their lives should not be one of fear and destruction.

Pringle added to his point by saying that, “God thinks of many things; but one of the greatest things that He thinks about is His people,” in other words; God will always have a wonderful plan for everyone’s life simply because He loves His people.

Ang Mei Mei, 22, a recent graduate of this year’s City Harvest Bible Training Center (CHBTC) recalls that services with Pringle have always been characterized by a strong “presence of God and His love” felt by the students in CHBTC. “Not only do I come away from the meetings with a new

Phil Pringle in the Houserevelation of God’s character, I also feel a renewed and stronger love for Him.”

The next visit to CHC for Pringle would be for the upcoming Asia Conference 2010, a bi-annual conference organized by CHC.

How Pagan Can Pringle Get?

Satan said to Jesus in the wilderness.

“If you are the Son of God, speak to these stones to become loaves of bread.” Matthew 4:3

Jesus responded with the following.

“‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” Matthew 4:4

Just like Satan, Pringle below is teaching the Body of Jesus Christ to speak to their difficulties to become mammon. In fact, we have written in the past how Pringle’s idea of faith is practically connected to the ‘faith’ of the occult.

Phil Pringle Influenced By Occult/ New Thought/ Metaphysical Cult Teachings

This video reveals Pringle’s inept ability to handle scripture correctly to justify his pagan faith. Pringle reduces Jesus (the Word of God Himself), to a tool, wand, law and principle, to prophesy (to speak or confess) things into existence. It becomes evident that Pringle’s double speak reveals that his confession is “Jesus is law” not Lord. For someone who doesn’t “box God” or “limit God”, Pringle does a tremendous job of enslaving God to serve his lips and heart. (See more double-speak towards end of the article.)

To Pringle, Jesus is nothing but a pagan entity summoned to fulfill Pringle’s desires. D.R. McConnell and Hank Hanegraaf document how Word Of Faith heretics like Pringle deify man and reduce the sovereignty of Christ, their historical research linking these heretical teachings to the teaching one finds in the occult. As a result of Pringle’s occult teachings, Pringle’s mutilation of the biblical texts is horrendous.

Pringle’s use of John 1 is highly blasphemous. For a start we were never in the beginning with God. To allegorise John 1 to say our beginning is 2011 and we can have the laws of the Word to speak to our future is delusional at best. The use of these biblical passages are so rorted, it is hard to dispute rationally how Pringle is so inept. Nothing in John 1 supports Pringle’s claim that we are to speak to our new year beginnings to get the things we want in the future.

Pringle’s use of Mark 11:12-14; 20-25 is not teaching us to speak to our sickness and debts in ‘faith’. While Pringle also uses “Death and life are in the power of the tongue,” (Proverbs 18:21), he treats this to be some kind of magic ritual to summon Jesus like a pagan God to do the things Pringle desires. But this passage simply talks about the influential power the tongue has over our lives and others so we can reap blessing or destruction.

Pringle also shamelessly Hebrews 10:23 here says, “Let us hold fast the confession” and then stops conveniently to continue shaping his loopy origami theology. What’s the context?

Where there is forgiveness of these, there is no longer any offering for sin. Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus, by the new and living way that he opened for us through the curtain, that is, through his flesh, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. Hebrews 10:18-23

He is turned the church’s universal faith confession of Christ’s finished work into a money-grubby, confess-for-gain magic formula. He also unashamedly lies about what Jesus says in the bible. Jesus does not say, “You’re dried up from the roots.”

Different Spirit, Different Jesus, Different Message

Below is the transcript:

“This morning, I want to talk about creating a future. Not just trying to weather forecast what’s going to happen but actually making what’s going to happen, happen. You become partners with God in creating a future. And the greatest tool that I know for making that happen is prophesying.

One of the reasons the bible has- about one third of it’s statements are prophecies- or written by prophets, is because if they didn’t say it, it wouldn’t happen. God makes things happen through words. God created the universe through words. And at the beginning of a new year like 2012, in the beginning was the Word. Amen!

So I want us to be able to have in our lives . . . I believe in our lives we can have this Word. And we find this Word is God. That’s the amazing thing. When you speak the Word of God into a circumstance, you’re not just speaking words. You’re actually speaking God into a situation.

You can never afford to underestimate the power of your words. You have the power of life or death in your tongue. And one of the first things the devil will try and do in your world is destroy your confession or your profession, try and mangle your words or corrupt your speech so that you find yourself constantly complaining, declaring negative things about your life. “I’m to this, I’m too old, I’m too big, not skilled enough, that’ll never happen for me, this modemo [?] doesn’t work, my car’s so old, I never have enough money-“

People say that sort of stuff all day long and wonder why their lives are so awful  You have got to change your mouth. You’ve got to let your tonguebe  born again.  I mean I know that the money issue is a big issue for some people but THIS is even bigger. I think it’s easy to convert my wallet than it is to convert my tongue. God is so specific about it all the way through scripture – ‘In the beginning’ of 2012, what are you going to prophesy about this year? What are you going to say? “Yeah I’ve tried that before but things went wrong.”

Did you keep on saying it? “No. I just agreed with the wrong things.” That’s called walking by sight not by faith. Cos you see the things that are going wrong and you’re saying, “All things are going wrong.”

You’re meant to walk by the Word Of God and speak what it’s saying, no matter how long it takes for that circumstance to conform to the reality you are speaking. Your reality is a higher reality then what’s surrounding you. It doesn’t negate it. I’m not talking about some denial or a Christian Science thinking where we don’t even acknowledge that there is evil. No there is evil. There’s things that go wrong. No denying that!

But you see, one law defeats another law in the worlds of God. Okay, their is a law of gravity. There’s a law of gravity. It’s  very powerful law. It works all day long. It works as you get older in a very serious manner, amen.

There’s this gravity that pulls- keeps us on earth! It’s good. But it makes things fall. But you know? There’s a law of aerodynamics. You can overcome the law of gravity. Doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. It just means you found a law that overcomes another law. And if you push the thing forward with a certain winged structure, you lift off and gravity has no power over you. You’ve beaten it.

[5:19] And so when you have things going wrong in your life, there is a law by which you can actually transform that thing. And that’s by understanding that in the beginning of anything that God does, is the Word. At the beginning. It’s the seed of your future.

The beginning of this year, 2012, make sure the Word, the Word of God is in your lips. and the Word about this coming year. OK. Now we suddenly go to a new word here. He was in the beginning. When Jesus was on earth, He went about doing good in healing all who were oppressed by the devil.  [6:02] The Word is Jesus. It’s not an ‘it’. It’s ‘He’ was in the beginning with God.

[6:10] As soon as you start speaking the bible, the scriptures, into your circumstance, Jesus leaps out of your mouth and starts walking into your circumstance, casting out demons, healing the sick, stilling the storm, walking on water supernaturally, making things happen that wouldn’t happen unless you did it.

[6:31] Here’s the thing guys. When I first discovered this, which was nearly forty years ago, I- I was nervous about sharing it with anybody. Cos I thought, ‘If they get a hold of this, there will be too much competition. This is really good! It works! Aw! I’m not going to tell anybody! It’s like I got a secret here that-‘

The Lord said, ‘Share it and I’ll give you more’.

‘Alright.’ So I shared it. But I didn’t need to worry. I don’t need to worry at all. Cos nobody does it. You see cos you’re sitting here going, ‘Yeah! Yeah! Yeah’ but you’re going to walk out of here. You gotta do this!”

It’s not agreeing with me going, “Yeah! Amen! Wow! That’s powerful!

[8:00] “I’m talking about a thing called the Word of God. And it is more enduring and powerful than anything you’ve got within your reach. And when you start to speak that, you’re putting something into your world, into your future that is undefeatable because it’s Jesus Himself. And they tried to crucify him once. It didn’t work. He’s a get-up-and-go kinda guy. And he just got up out of that grave. Death couldn’t hold him. Sickness couldn’t hold him. Killing him couldn’t hold him. It doesn’t matter what’s going on in your circumstance, it can’t hold you down if you’ll put the Word of God into your circumstance. Resurrection comes into your finances, comes into your family, comes into your home, comes into your people, into your work, into every area of your life.

He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him. Oh- now you got me going. . .

[10:04] All things were made by Him. Not evolved. They were made complete and finished. They were complete. We’re going the other way guys! We’re not going up. We’re gonna- the earth is going to fold up and all be gone. I- and you know I’m just grieving. If it was anybody, I would save the tigers. But the fact is, is- the deal is that the bible says, “Oh! It’s decaying. It’s physical. It’s got a lifespan. It’s got a shelf-life.” He says, “I’m making you a new eternal home.” And he only took six days with this one. He’s taken two thousand years with the other one. The new one. Can you imagine what it’s gonna be like? This place is pretty amazing.

So here He is. All things are made by Him and without Him, nothing was made that was made. Everything’s beautiful in the world. Jesus is beautiful. Mountains, oceans, bananas, pelicans, you. It’s all beautiful! Mostly. Amen! No, you are!

Without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life. The life was the light of men. Light shines in the darkness and the darkness didn’t comprehend it. Or in other versions, ‘did not overcome it’. All right!

So, God’s spoke and said, ‘Let there be light’. That’s how He did it. What are you going to prophesy over your year ahead? What are you gonna say?

And once you’ve stated it, Hebrews 10:23 here says, “Let us hold fast the confession-” that word is also profession, which is a Greek word: homologia. And that means to speak the same thing. I’m writing in tongues.

Let us hold fast the profession- hold it fast cos it slips away. Your salvation is based on this: “He who believes with his heart and confesses with his mouth, Jesus Christ is Lord shall be saved.”

And so here’s the thing. Once you’ve got this profession in your life. This confession of hope or this confession of faith, without wavering, you’ll discover that God is able to bring to pass the words you are speaking. When you combine what you are wanting to happen with God’s Word, you’ll find faith comes on the inside of you to actually bring it to pass.

Jesus did this . . . over in Mark 11 verse- when he’s speaking about a fig tree. It says, “Now in the morning as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.” I mean, some of you got some stuff you needed dried up from the roots. But a- he says, “And Peter remembering him remembering him said, Rabbi, look! The fig tree which you cursed has withered away. So Jesus answered him and said, Have faith in God. I say to you, Whosoever says to this mountain, Be removed and be cast into the sea; and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things that he says will come to pass; he shall have whatever he says.”

[13:28] The reason you need to hold fast the confessional profession of your faith, is because once you start speaking it, [it] doesn’t immediately appear to change anything. It’s not a Harry Potter magic wand thing. Woo! BAM!!! And it just changes.

When Jesus spoke to that fig tree nothing looked different. It looked exactly the same. The surprise was the disciples the next day saying, “Look! That fig tree’s now died!” It didn’t look dead yesterday the way- leaves are still waving in the wind. Your debts are hanging around in the wind. The sickness is still waving in the wind. Leaves are still there. The tree’s looking good. But Jesus said, “You’re dried up from the roots.” But it was still there. It still looked alive.

It took a day to take effect. If Jesus’ words take a day to effect, you should not be worried if something you’re saying is taking a year. Amen. He did live on a slightly different plain to the rest of us. So what you are saying with your mouth is forming your world. And if you are unhappy with your would as it is, the thing that changes is not to try to change your world but change the thing that’s making your world, which is your mouth. And you have complete control and government over that thing.

But you know, you know James says the tongue, is very hard to control. Slippery little sucker aint it and you know. Kay. It just comes out. And isn’t it awful when you something and you’re- and it’s gone out and you’re going, “I wish I didn’t say that.” And you want to pull it back. It’s a very powerful thing, your mouth. You don’t want to underestimate it and think, “I can say what I like. But God’s still bigger- He’s gonna make things happen. He’s given you laws to live by, principles to live by- and you can’t blame Him for stuff actually has comes out of our activities.

There’s no good- if you drive on the wrong side of the road and you have a smash, don’t go down to the Roads & Traffic Authorities saying, “Hey! I had a smash you guys!” They’ll say, “What side of the road were you driving on?”

“Well, I drove on that side. I just felt like I wanted to. You know. It’s my time to drive on the other side of the road.” Well that’s – you missed the point. We do it because it’s not our fault. We have got responsibility for saying, “You know what? I’ going to use my tongue as a powerful instrument for creating the future. In the beginning of 2012, I resolve inside my self, that I’m going to control this sucker. And I’m actually gonna bring about all kinds of beautiful things in my life because God has given me the power of creativity. I’m a child of a creator. [15:55] And in my life is the same genetic code that’s in His life. He created by speaking. I am- like a child of His, will create my world by speaking into it in Jesus name.” And every body said: Amen.”

Jesus is Pringle’s wand to get what he wants. His allusions to witch craft (Harry Potter) and Christian Science indicates he possibly knows what he is peddling. If he is dead honest in his confession that ‘God’ spoke to him about this ‘secret’ , then he has heard from a demon. Pringle’s faith is not taught in Christianity. But his teaching is promoted in the metaphysical cults and the occult. Ronda Byrne’s book, ‘The Secret’ reveals Pringle’s true spirituality. Read here.

‘The Secret’ to Phil Pringle’s Doctrine of ‘Faith’

If you follow this article, we record Pringle teaching people they are “involved with a person, not just a principle, living this Christian life is a whole lot different.” This is  clearly double speak again.

Finally, to stress emphatically the source of this teaching, we would like to point out Pringle saying,

“When I first discovered this, which was nearly forty years ago, I- I was nervous about sharing it with anybody. Cos I thought, ‘If they get a hold of this, there will be too much competition. This is really good! It works! Aw! I’m not going to tell anybody! It’s like I got a secret here that-‘

The Lord said, ‘Share it and I’ll give you more’.”

Pringle indeed has “a secret”. Once you compare Pringle’s faith to New Age Rhonda Byrne’s ‘faith’ in her book ‘The Secret’ above, a plausible claim can be made that Pringle is receiving a demonic doctrine. Pringle has made a deal with a spirit that is not of God. This spirit is not the Holy Spirit. It is not God. Why? Jesus says this about the Holy Spirit,

“Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. When he comes, he will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment: in regard to sin, because men do not believe in me; in regard to righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; and in regard to judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned.

“I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.”  John 16:7-12

The spirit Pringle got this ‘secret’ from simply reduced Jesus to a spiritual law, confined to a sinners lips. It glorifies the sinner and takes glory away from God. This spirit has convinced Pringle that he could be like Jesus and speak to his circumstantial stones to become mammon.

It is sad to see such a man applauded by a congregation who does not test his teachings against God’s Word. If you feel led, please pray for Phil Pringle and those in the C3 movement who are deceived by his false teachings.

Scriptures say,

“… We are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming…” Ephesians 4:14

Pringle says,

“Now here’s the thing, without wind that boat is going nowhere. A boat is just a boat going nowhere until its got wind in it; a Christian is just a Christian on earth doing nothing until the wind hits you. To get that wind, you gotta position yourself in the right place. And you know exactly what I’m gonna say: I mean, be in Presence, amen! If you’re there, it’ll happen! The touch of God can come on your life. Mark out all the other stuff, nothing is more important than you getting fresh wind in your life as a believer! And getting yourself carried by the greatest wave that you can ever have in your life! So suddenly you become effective and you’re doing things that you never did before. – Phil Pringle, “Get Ready For God”, Sunday 6pm Service, Oxford Falls Campus, 20/03/2011.

C3 pastors convert their sermons to bible study notes (connect notes). Here is a solid critique of Pringle’s appalling teaching on this sermon in 2011:

Pringle’s ‘Get Ready For God’ Bible Study Notes, Exposed

In video 1, before his sermon, Phil Pringle prophesies revival . As you watch this sermon, he is linking both the prophecy and sermon to the 2011 Presence Conference. A few months later in his sermon ‘Financial Excellence’, his outburst exposes that his prophecy regarding Presence Conference did not come to pass.

Pringle Claims There’s “Still Not A Revival In Australia” And “Around The Nations Of The World”

In video 2, Phil Pringle teaches he is a John the Baptist ushering in Jesus Christ to bring revival at His Presence Conference. Pringle the Baptist states that Jesus says to John, “I want to do it. I want to do what you’re doing. I want to get with the program. I want to get on the same page. I want to come to Presence. I want to be in church” (4:43).

In video 3, he tells people to catch the winds and the waves (thus the scripture above).

In video 4, Phil Pringle belittles Christians who are like doubting ‘whinging’ Thomas’ (6:32). Thus he butchers John 20:24-29 to market (and guilt) his congregation  to attend Presence 2011, (3:44). Constantly throughout the sermon he is connecting his prophecy of revival to the Presence Conference. The scriptures are right in prophesying that “children [are] tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine”, by men like Phil Pringle who use the “the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming”.

NOTE: THE SCREEN GRAB WERE TAKEN BEFORE THE 11/02/2012.

Another Jesus, A Different Spirit, A Different Gospel 2Cor 11:4, (Quotes sourced below)

PHIL PRINGLE’S VIEW OF KENNETH COPELAND

Scripture says,

“Watch yourselves, that you do not lose what we have accomplished, but that you may receive a full reward. Anyone who goes too far and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God; the one who abides in the teaching, he has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house, and do not give him a greeting; for the one who gives him a greeting participates in his evil deeds.” 2John 1:8-11

It is important that we understand who Phil Pringle chooses to be associated with. Does Phil Pringle receive teachers who do “not abide in the teaching of Christ”? Does he endorse them?

Sadly Phil Pringle endorses and supports many false ministries and teachers like the ministry of Kenneth Copeland.

Kenneth Copeland is a key player in the prosperity movement or ‘Word of Faith’ cult. It is men like Copeland that have given rise to dangerous heresies, endorsing gnostic/occult teachings and cult-like methodologies in the C3 Church movement. Unfortunately, people like Phil Pringle have fallen victim to these men’s false teachings.

So how does Pringle see Kenneth Copeland?

Pringle considers Copeland as a brother and prophet and defends Copeland ministry from other pastors.

“When Kenneth Copeland began preaching on prosperity, it seemed out of balance to many. Maybe it was, but few prophetic messages come forth as balanced thoughts. God often has to push the pendulum to the opposite side to get us back in balance. However, for whatever reasons, a lot of preachers took up arms against Copeland and began preaching against his message.” – Phil Pringle, You The Leader, 2005, pg 140.

Pringle also says ‘Brother Copeland’ has spoken in his church twice.

“I have a simple philosophy of “rolling with the punches.” This takes the heat out of a lot of the punches we take. I simply rolled with what a lot of others thought was a threat to the local church. In fact we had Brother Copeland come twice and preach in our church. We’ve only been blessed by the message.” – Phil Pringle, You The Leader, 2005, pg 141.

Must we remind readers that Pringle still promotes this book today. Since Pringle references Copeland in his book on leadership, (You The Leader), reveals Pringle sees Kenneth Copeland as a leader.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH KENNETH COPELAND?

Paul the Apostle insultingly says to the Corinthian church,

“I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ. For if one comes and preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted, you bear this beautifully.” 2Corinthians 11:3-4

Kenneth Copeland preaches a different gospel message, a different Jesus and a different spirit among a number of other heresies. This isn’t too hard to prove.

THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO COPELAND

Kenneth Copeland teaches that man is God…

“You’re all God. You don’t have a God living in you; you are one! … When I read in the Bible where God tells Moses, ‘I AM,’ I say, ‘Yah, I Am too!'” – ‘The Force of Love,’ Kenneth Copeland, tape BBC-56, 1987.

“Now Peter said by exceeding great and precious promises you become partakers of the divine class. All right, are we gods? We are a class of gods!” – Kenneth Copeland, ‘Praise The Lord’ TV Show, , 05/02/1986.

“You are not a spiritual schizophrenic — half-God and half-Satan — you are all-God” – Kenneth Copeland, Now We Are in Christ Jesus, 1980, pg. 16-17.

… And teaches that Adam was God…

“He [Adam] was not subordinate to God … [but] was walking as a god with the authority of a god. … What he said went. What he did, counted. [And when he] bowed his knee to Satan and put Satan up above him, then there wasn’t anything God could do about it, because a god had placed [Satan] there.” – Kenneth Copeland, The Force of Love, tape #02-0028.

“God’s reason for creating Adam was His desire to reproduce Himself. I mean a reproduction of Himself, and in the Garden of Eden He did just that. He was not a little like God. He was not almost like God. He was not subordinate to God even. … Adam is as much like God as you could get, just the same as Jesus. … Adam, in the Garden of Eden, was God manifested in the flesh.” – Kenneth Copeland, Following the Faith of Abraham I, audiotape: #01-3001, Side 1, 1989.

“All of God’s attributes and abilities were invested in Adam.” – Kenneth Copeland, The Authority of the Believer IV; Tape #01-0304.

“You see Adam was walking as a God, Adam walked in God’s class, Adam did things in the class of god’s, hallelujah…” – Kenneth Copeland, Following the Faith of Abraham, Tape #01-3001.

Because man is God, Copeland teaches,

“Pray to yourself, because I’m in yourself and you’re in Myself. We are one Spirit, saith the Lord.” – Kenneth Copeland, “Believer’s Voice of Victory”, Feb. 1987, pg. 9.

Thus as a God an in complete oneness of God’s Spirit, Copeland promotes Gnosticism, teaching His pantheistic laws of the universe (doctrine of demons)…

“When we use the spiritual laws that God has set up, God must obey what we request.” – Kenneth Copeland, Praise the Lord, TBN, 05/02/1986.

And teaches God is incompetent unless we give Him invitation to use us.

“God cannot do anything for you apart or separate from faith.” – Kenneth Copeland, Freedom from Fear, KCM, 1980, pg. 11-12.

“God had no avenue of lasting faith or moving in the earth. He had to have covenant with somebody. . . . He had to be invited in, in other words, or He couldn’t come. God is on the outside looking in. In order to have any say so in the earth, He’s gonna have to be in agreement with a man here.” – Kenneth Copeland, God’s Covenant With Man II, Frt. Worth, KCM, 1985, audiotape #01-4404, side 1.)

Since the source of God’s power is Copeland’s divine, godly, spiritual, faith, He teaches believers can speak the desires of their heart into existence…

“What you are saying is exactly what you are getting now. If you are living in poverty and lack and want, change what you are saying…. The powerful force of the spiritual world that creates the circumstances around us is controlled by the words of the mouth.” – Kenneth Copeland, “The Laws of Prosperity, Ft. Worth: Kenneth Copeland Publications, 1974.

“You have the same creative faith and ability on the inside of you that God used when he created the heavens and the earth.” – Kenneth Copeland, ‘Inner Image of the Covenant,’ side 2.

“God used words when He created the heaven and the earth… Each time God spoke, He released His faith — the creative power to bring His words to pass.” – Kenneth Copeland, The Power of the Tongue, (Fort Worth: KCP Publications, 1980), pg. 4.

Because Copeland is God and is so divine with the faith of our creator God, He claims God is the biggest failure…

“I was shocked when I found out who the biggest failure in the Bible actually is… The biggest one in the whole Bible is God… I mean, He lost His top-ranking, most anointed angel; the first man He ever created; the first woman He ever created; the whole earth and all the fullness therein; a third of the angels, at least – that’s a big loss, man…. Now, the reason you don’t think of God as a failure is He never said He’s a failure.  And you’re not a failure till you say you’re one.” – Ken Copeland, Audio-Clip “Christianity in Crisis,” Hank Hanegraaff.

(Hear him say part of the quote above by clicking here.)

This is a different gospel; a different message; a different good news contrary to what the Apostles preached. As the Apostle Paul said,

“Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned!” Galatians 1:7-9

JESUS ACCORDING TO COPELAND

Copeland teaches Jesus was rich and His death did not atone for our sins and that Jesus became demon possessed or satanic on the cross.

“It takes money to preach the gospel.  Jesus Himself knew that, and contrary to what some people think, His ministry was not a poor one.  He had so much money coming in and going out through His ministry that He had to appoint a treasurer.  His name was Judas.” – Kenneth Copeland, From Faith to Faith – A Daily Guide to Victory, 05/12/?.

“It would have been impossible for Jesus to have been poor!” – Kenneth Copeland, Calvary Contender, 15/02/93.

“Because his physical death was not enough for the payment of sins there was a another way for sins payment. Jesus put Himself into the hands of Satan when He went to that cross, and took that same nature that Adam did [when he sinned].” – Kenneth Copeland, The Incarnation, Frt. Worth: Kenneth Copeland Ministries, audiotape: #01-0402, Side 1, 1985.

“JESUS “HAD TO GIVE UP HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS” – Kenneth Copeland, The Incarnation, Frt. Worth: Kenneth Copeland Ministries, audiotape #01-0402, 1985, side 2.

He teaches Jesus was damned to hell…

“He [Jesus] allowed the devil to drag Him into the depths of hell….He allowed Himself to come under Satan’s control…every demon in hell came down on Him to annihilate Him….They tortured Him beyond anything anybody had ever conceived. For three days He suffered everything there is to suffer.” – Kenneth Copeland, The Price of it All, pg. 3.

… And for Jesus to die and go to hell, Copeland teaches that Jesus lost his divine nature…

“There is no more sacrifice beyond this [the cross] because God has given Himself. There’s not any further that God can go ’cause that is part of Himself hanging on that cross. And the very inside of God, hanging on that cross, is severed from Him and in that moment of severing, the spirit of Jesus accepting that sin and making it to be sin, He’s separated from His God at that moment. He’s a mortal man; capable of failure, capable of death. Not only that, but He’s fixing on being ushered into the very jaws of hell. And if Satan is capable of overpowering Him there, he will win the universe and mankind is doomed.” – Kenneth Copeland, What Happened from the Cross to the Throne?, Frt. Worth: Kenneth Copeland Ministries, n.d., cassette tape, side 2. (Emphasis mine)

D.R McConnell, author of the must-read book ‘A Different Gospel’, writes,

“Kenneth Copeland is even more direct in denying the atoning efficacy of Christ’s blood: “Jesus went into hell to free mankind from the penalty of Adam’s high treason… When His blood poured out it did not atone. . . . Jesus spent three horrible days and nights in the bowels of this earth getting back for you and me our rights with God.”” – D .R. McConnell, A Different Gospel, 1988, pg. 120. (Ref: 28: Personal letter from Kenneth Copeland, Ft. Worth, Tex., March 12, 1979; italics added for emphasis.)

To demonstrate that we’re not being selective with the quotes of Kenneth Copeland, Copeland reiterated to the Christian Research Institute (CRI),

“When Jesus was made to be sin; He was separated from God. This is the reason while hanging on the cross, Jesus cried out with a loud voice, “My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me?” He had finished the Abrahamic Covenant by becoming the last sacrifice to ever be offered. When His blood was poured out, it did not atone, it did away with the handwriting of the ordinances that were against us. Jesus spent three horrible days and nights in the bowels of this earth getting back for you and me our rights with God.” – Kenneth Copeland, From letter to CRI, March 12, 1979.

Because Copeland does not believe in the atoning power of the blood, he teaches,

“Because his physical death was not enough for the payment of sins there was a another way for sins payment. Jesus put Himself into the hands of Satan when He went to that cross, and took that same nature that Adam did [when he sinned].” – Kenneth Copeland, The Incarnation, Kenneth Copeland Ministries, audiotape #01-0402, 1985, side 1.

“Jesus death on the cross was not enough to save us.” – Kenneth Copeland, What Happened From the Cross to the Throne?, Tape #00-0303), Believer’s Voice of Victory, September 1991.

“It wasn’t the physical death on the cross that paid the price for sin … anybody could do that.” – What Satan saw on the day of Pentecost, Tape #02-0022.

We can conclude that he does not know Jesus, the gospel and the atonement.

THE HOLY SPIRIT ACCORDING TO COPELAND

So where did Copeland get his teachings? From another spirit. As Copeland confesses boldly:

“The spirit of God spoke to me. And He said, “Son, realize this. Now follow me in this and don’t let tradition trip you up.” He said, “Think this way—a twice born man whipped Satan in his own domain.” And I threw my Bible down and I said, ”What?”

He said, ”A born again man defeated Satan, the firstborn of many brethren defeated him.” He said, ”you are the very image, the very copy of that one.” I said, ”Goodness, gracious sakes alive!”

And I begin to see what had gone on in there, and I said, ”Well now you don’t mean, you dare not mean, that I could have done the same thing?” He said,  ”Oh yeah, if you’d had the knowledge of the Word of God that he did, you could’ve done the same thing, cause you’re a reborn man too.” – Kenneth Copeland, Substitution and identification, tape#00-0202, side 2.

We know this is another spirit because it is not speaking on behalf of the Father and Son, but on its own accord (emphasis mine):

“But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.” John 16:13

Faith is not a force. Faith in Greek is πίστις which is pistis. The basic definition of pistis is ‘trust’. However, Jesus is the OBJECT of our faith. Jesus is not only our faith but graces us with the faith to believe in Him through His Spirit (Galatians 5:22; Ephesians 2:8). This is done so the Spirit can keep us in Christ and to keep pointing us to Christ (John 16:7-15). Jesus’ name is also ‘Faithful and True’ (Revelations 19:16) and his cross has demonstrated the loving, living faithfulness of God. Jesus is alive and IS the substance of our faith in which we hope for. The point is – God does not NEED faith, He is faith and the source of faith on which we rely.

In saying this, what is the spirit behind Copeland’s doctrines? His doctrines of Jesus, the cross, genesis, man and faith, can be traced to Gnosticism, New Age, through New Thought into the camp of the occult. Does this sound like teachings you would hear from the bible?

“The force of faith is released by words. Faith-filled words put the law of the Spirit of life into operation.” – Kenneth Copeland, The Force Of Faith, Frt. Worth, KCM, 1983.

“What you are saying is exactly what you are getting now. If you are living in poverty and lack and want, change what you are saying…. The powerful force of the spiritual world that creates the circumstances around us is controlled by the words of the mouth.” (The Laws of Prosperity, Kenneth Copeland, Ft. Worth: Kenneth Copeland Publications, 1974). – Kenneth Copeland, The Laws Of Prosperity, Frt. Worth, KCM, 1980.

“Faith is a power force. It is a tangible force. It is a conductive force.” – Kenneth Copeland, The Force of Faith, Frt. Worth, KCP Publications, 1989, pg. 10.

You can see Copeland’s teachings manifest Gnosticism as he does his best to explore the knowledge of his understanding of this unbiblical, creative, faith ‘force’.

“Faith is a spiritual force….It is substance. Faith has the ability to effect natural substance.” – Kenneth Copeland, Forces of the Created Human Spirit, Frt. Worth, KCM, 1982, pg. 8.

“The force of gravity… makes the law of gravity work… this force of faith…makes the laws of the spirit world function.” – Kenneth Copeland, Laws of Prosperity, Frt. Worth, KCP Publications, 1974, pg. 18-19.

“Faith is God’s source of power.” – Kenneth Copeland, Forces of the Recreated Human Spirit, Frt. Worth: KCM, 1982, pg. 8.

“Everything that you’re able to see or touch, anything that you can feel, anything that’s perceptive to the five physical senses, was originally the faith of God, and was born in the substance of God’s faith.” – Kenneth Copeland, Spirit, Soul Body, Frt. Worth: KCM, 1985, audiotape #01-0601, side 1.

“Faith was the raw material substance that the Spirit of God used to form the universe.” – Kenneth Copeland, Authority of the Believer II, Frt. Worth, KCM, 1987, audiotape #01-0302), side 1.

“God used words when He created the heaven and the earth… Each time God spoke, He released His faith — the creative power to bring His words to pass.” – Kenneth Copeland, The Power of the Tongue, Frt. Worth: KCP Publications, 1980, pg. 4.

“Words are spiritual containers” – Kenneth Copeland, Forces of the Recreated Human Spirit, 1982, pg. 15; cf. 14.

“The force of faith is released by words. Faith-filled words put the law of the Spirit of life into operation.” – Kenneth Copeland, The Force of Faith, Frt. Worth, KCP Publications, 1989, pg. 18.

“The day that Jesus was crucified, God’s life, that eternal energy .. moved out of Him and He allowed the devil to drag him into the depths of hell as if He were the most wicked sinner who ever lived..[and] to come under Satan’s control .. [or] His body would have never died. …” – Kenneth Copeland, Believer’s Voice of Victory, [Quoted in Berean Call] September, 1991.

It is clear to see that Copeland preaches a different gospel and a different Jesus under a different spirit not of gone. It is safe to say, judging by the bible that Kenneth Copeland disqualifies himself to be called a Christian. Therefore he is a false teacher and is sending people to hell with his false teachings and false prophecies. Even more importantly are the dates of the above quotes of Copeland. Pringle had him speak in C3 Brookvale in the 1990s and endorses him in his books in 2005. So after all Copeland has said and done and the criticism he has received, Pringle endorses him.

One has to ask the questions: Why does Phil Pringle associate himself with Kenneth Copeland? Why does he call him brother and considers his messages prophetic? If pastors were preaching against him, why does Pringle endorse him and promote him?

We have to come to a grim conclusion that Phil Pringle endorses Kenneth Copeland and “participates in his evil deeds” as the scriptures say. This is a serious evil Pringle has chosen to partake in.

Why is this evil? I can personally give an example of this. I know a family who attended Christian City Church. They came to love Kenneth Copeland through Pringle’s association. The mother took the Copeland’s teachings to heart and introduced his false faith teachings to her family. Their family started a church seperate from C3 who refered often to Copeland. The mother found out she had a fatal sickness and relied on her faith alone to heal her. She died causing much division in this church, troubling others and leaving behind a deep sadness when she passed away. In spite of her authoritative nature when it came to Copelands teaching on faith(which was frightening), she was very hospitable, gentle and inclusive. She was loved by all of us when she passed away. I had no idea that she found Copeland through Pringle’s endorsement of him. Would she be alive today if Copeland was not endorsed by Pringle?

We encourage ANYONE who is moved by the grim facts about the spiritual status of Pringle and the C3 movement, to pray for them.

Pray that he repents, turns away from Copeland and re-examines his theological understanding of the scriptures. We will examine Pringle’s theology and see how much Word of Faith teachers influence his theology.

NOTE: We wish to thank LetUsReason and DeceptionInTheChurch for      helping us with part of our research efforts. We wish to leave more quotes from Kenneth Copeland in the comment section for C3ChurchWatchresearch purposes.

Some have expressed their concern that C3 Church Watch is using outdated material of Phil Pringle. Phil Pringle still endorses his books that we quote from.

This blurb is from their own website: http://www2.myc3church.net/category/about-phil-chris-pringle.

About Phil & Chris Pringle

My wife, Chris and I, with the kids and some good friends came to Sydney in 1980 to start a church. We had 13 people at our first service but the congregation grew rapidly and we moved buildings, bought land and built a school. We began planting churches around Sydney, then Australia, then the world; we now have close to 300 congregations in our movement. Our 2020 Vision is to plant and grow 1000 churches and we’re on target to meet this.

We’ve started C3 College for Ministry, Creative Arts and Counselling, as well as a television program and Oxford Falls Grammar School, all on around 25 acres at Oxford Falls. I’ve always been passionate about the arts playing a major role in church to make her contemporary and relevant to the current world. Our Creative Arts stream has developed and graduated thousands of musicians, worship leaders, song writers, graphic artists, dancers, actors and film makers. I myself paint and exhibit around the world. I also love to write, so I’ve mixed these two elements together in books like Inspired to Pray, But God and 24 hours that saved the world.

My other books include Faith, Moving in the Spirit, Leadership Excellence, Financial Excellence, Leadership Files and You the Leader. My great love is the local church. I believe she is the hope of our world today. When she functions in the power of the Holy Spirit and lives on the Word she will thrive. See you in Church!

God gave us His teachings in His word. It is not our job as Christians in our postmodern world to apply new meaning to His words. To do so in light of scripture is to twist or add to Gods Word.

Unfortunately Phil Pringle is a master of manipulating words and meaning in the bible. At the same time, his idea of a ‘correct’ definition can help other Christians understand what he is talking about.

Please feel free to use this translation key when talking to people from C3. This may help you lead, teach or give C3 goers a greater understanding how to understand their own pastor. This article will be updated to inform readers Pringle’s various new definitions of key words in Christian language.

GRACE is…

“This is the grace (unmerited favor) of God – if you are in Christ, you have fulfilled ALL God’s requirements to bless you.” – Phil Pringle, http://philpringle.com/2009/11/01/blessed-not-cursed/, 01/11/09. (Also found at http://philpringle.wordpress.com/2009/11/01/.) (Later accessed 01/07/2012.)

“God’s favour and God’s grace are interchangeable.” – Phil Pringle, Connect Group Notes: Favour,  02/05/2010.

TRUTH is…

“The key to truth becoming real is faith.” – Phil Pringle, SEVEN BIG THINGS That Make Life Work, Baptisms, pg. 71.

FAITH is…

“Faith is positive.”– Phil Pringle, Faith, Faith And Prayer – Speak It, 2001, pg 73.

“Faith is like courage & confidence, abandonment, uninhibited, unintimidated, fearless, fearless believing – all of those things are what faith is. A positive mindset, confidence and courage in your heart. Thinking big, not thinking small.” – Phil Pringle, Ps Phil Pringle: Get Ready For God, http://www2.myc3church.net/2003119ampp, Sermon (AM), 20/03/2011

“Faith is a spirit. It is an attitude. It is confidence in the heart.” – Phil Pringle, Faith, Faith Is A Feeling, 2001, pg 12.

“Faith is knowing something that no-one else does.” – Phil Pringle, Faith,  Faith Is A Feeling, 2001, pg 12.

“Faith is a feeling” – Phil Pringle, Faith, Faith Is A Feeling, 2001, pg 21.

“Let me say this to you. Faith itself is a feeling.” – Phil Pringle, Faith, Faith Is A Feeling, 2001, pg 21.

“Faith is an attitude you have within you.“ – Phil Pringle, Faith, 2001, pg 22.

“The source of faith is the Word of God.” – Phil Pringle, Faith, Faith Is A Feeling, 2001, pg 14.

“Faith is the collateral of heaven. It is what you use to trade with in heaven.” – Phil Pringle, Faith, Faith Is A Feeling, 2001, pg 13.

“Faith is the master key that unlocks all of heaven’s doors. It’s the collateral of God. It’s the currency of heaven. Without it, we are unable to purchase anything from God. He issues the invitation, “Come, buy wine and milk, without price, without money.” How do we buy without money? With faith, that’s how.” – Phil Pringle, Faith, 2001, pg 53.

“Faith is a creative force. When we operate by faith, we employ the creative power of God.” – Phil Pringle, Faith, 2001, pg 66.

“Faith is seeing what can’t be seen..” – Phil Pringle, Faith, 2001, pg 98.

“Faith is like an additional sense. A spiritual sense… Thus we walk by faith, that is, an inner substance, an inner reality that cannot be seen by anyone else. The conclusion is that we don’t wait until we receive a thing before we believe that we have it. We get it before we get it.” – Phil Pringle, Faith, 2001, pg 56.

“Faith is the major key that opens every door in the Kingdom. It is a master key. Therefore it is imperative that we understand the ways of faith. Because these keys are the ways of God the natural man cannot receive them. They are spiritually understood. They are foolishness to the natural man. When a gift of the Spirit operates. Then we are able to impart that gift to others and teach them how to function in it also.” – Phil Pringle, Faith, 2001, pg 58.

“We believe that we have the answer to our prayer before our five senses tell us so. The Amplified Bible interprets Hebrews 11:1 as “Faith perceives as a reality what is not revealed to the five senses.”

Faith is like an additional sense.

WORD OF GOD is...

“When we have no room for the Word of God in our lives we have no room for success.” – Phil Pringle, Faith, 2001, pg 14.

“There is a direct correlation between the measure of God’s Word in our lives and the measure of prosperity we enjoy.” – Phil Pringle, Faith, 2001, pg 14.

“The Word of God is none other than Jesus… When we speak the Word we are speaking Christ into that situation… ” – Phil Pringle, Faith, 2001, pg 90.

“The Word of God is the power of God unto salvation. This means that Christ and the Word of God are one and the same.” – Phil Pringle, Faith, 2001, pg 91.

“The Word of God is the Sword of the Spirit.” – Phil Pringle, Faith, 2001, pg 169.
