Lakewood’s Israel Houghton stands with Kong Hee and his geisha?

The bible symbolised sexual immorality, delusion, wickedness, blasphemy, abomination, impurity and hatred of Christ and his church through the image of a prostitute:

Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the judgment of the great prostitute who is seated on many waters, with whom the kings of the earth have committed sexual immorality, and with the wine of whose sexual immorality the dwellers on earth have become drunk.” And he carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness, and I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was full of blasphemous names, and it had seven heads and ten horns. The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and jewels and pearls, holding in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the impurities of her sexual immorality. And on her forehead was written a name of mystery: “Babylon the great, mother of prostitutes and of earth’s abominations.” And I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints, the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. When I saw her, I marveled greatly. Revelations 17:1-6

Today we have the apostate church marvelling at the holiness and righteousness of Kong Hee and his wife Sun Ho who have financially bled Christians dry through dishonest means to support their lucrative ministries.

In her music video clip below, Sun Ho is playing a prostitute in her song ‘China Wine’.

Sun Ho said about her China Wine album:

“I’m really excited about this album, because I feel like it really represents me even though it’s in English.”

“I want to work with the choreographer to come up with “China Wine” dance steps and stuff.”

“And I was dancing during “China Wine” in the studio, and he started dancing too. I’m really looking forward to how it will actually affect the audience[…]” [Source]

Kong Hee even defended his wife’s role as a prostitute in the Sun’s China Wine video clip. Not only does he defend her, Kong flaunted her his ‘China Wine’.

China Boy & China Wine

Still the men standing with Kong Hee and the six accused are not addressing the allegations of Kong Hee who is accused of mishandling church funds of up to US$20 million. Furthermore, these ‘pastors’ are not informing their congregations that the six accused also used another US$20 million to cover up the original US$20 million spent to finance Sun Ho’s music career.

These ‘pastors’ who are standing with Kong Hee include:

Brian Houston of the Hillsong Church Movement

Phil Pringle of the C3 Church movement

Convicted criminal David Yonggi CHo of Yoido Full Gospel Church

Jeffrey Rachmat from Jakarta Praise Community Church (Jakarta, Indonesia)

Mark Conner from City Life Church (Melbourne, Australia)

Paul Scanlon from LIFE Church (Bradford, UK)

Casey Treat from Christian Faith Center (Seattle, USA)

John Bevere from Messenger International (USA)

Ed Young Jr, of C3 Church (US)

Margaret Court of Victory Life Centre

At this year’s Presence Conference, Kong Hee did not preach about God. Instead Kong preached about his life and all his accomplishments. Not once did he inform anyone present the details of the investigations and the allegations made agasint him. After preaching a selfie, Phil Pringle deliberately went out of his way to conceal the facts of the investigations and Kong Hee’s court proceedings and encouraged people to give money for Kong’s lawyers.

Not only did they mislead the tens of thousands tuning in, it appears they also deceived Israel Houghton.

Is Lakewood now standing with Kong Hee in his trial?

The Grammy Award-winning Christian singer Israel Houghton has been the worship leader at Osteen’s Lakewood Church for the past thirteen years.

Recently, Houghton stood up at Phil Pringle’s C3 Presence conference and claimed that “they” were standing with Kong Hee and CHC as they face the trial.

“I know we’re not supposed to have favourites but those three people up there with their lights shining, they’re my favourite people right now. If you’ve got something that lights up just pull it out, c’mon. Let’s just do this. Lighting up the kingdom that cannot be shaken. We’re standing with Pastor Kong tonight and we’re standing with Singapore. We’re standing for City Harvest. We’re standing with everybody who’s fighting life through right now. And this is going to be a reminder that God is fighting for us. And He is pushing back the darkness. And He is lighting up the kingdom that cannot be shaken.”

Really Houghton? Would you light up the kingdom of God with Kong Hee’s wife at your next musical event?

We hope that Lakewood will investigate the serious nature of the CHC scandal and consider where they stand with Kong Hee and CHC. Do they know the charges that Kong Hee is facing? Is this the type of “Christianity” they wish to have associated with their name? Does Israel and Lakewood really want to stand with Kong Hee and CHC?

Does Lakewood want to lie in the same harlot-stained bed of CHC?Lakewood C3 Phil Pringle Sun Ho Israel Houghton

Phil Pringle lamenting in Brian Houston’s shadow?

Brian Houston Vs Phil Pringle

Pringle has often stated that God said He had given him the city of Sydney.

He felt a great presence of God coming on him, giving him a real peace about Sydney.

Sydney.

“I want you to come to Sydney…”
Sydney…

He had come before but the timing had not been right. There had been more growing to be done, more seeking of God’s anointing over his life, more learning of the ways of God in his life.

And on the return from India it had grown, the plant now beginning to stand erect by itself, rooted deeply in the spiritual ground God had prepared for it in this man’s life.

Sydney.

“I have given you this city…”

Source:  – John Barclay, Arise, 1987.

Well. God also said that he had given the city of Sydney to Brian Houston. They’ve both still got a long way to go.

However, Pringle’s draw card this year for his 2014 Global C3 Presence Conference was his good “friend” Brian Houston. We find it hard to understand their friendship since their is rivalry between the two leaders and their ministries.

For instance, Christians from both Hillsong and C3 have called Hillsong ‘Big Brother’ and C3 ‘Little Sister’. In the past, Houston’s leaders, associates and long-serving members have often labeled Pringle’s church the ‘slipstream ministry’. We thought this rivalry and petty issues were resolved between churches until Phil Pringle made this recent comment in C3 San Diego.

[NOTE: Phil Munsey is the brother of the notorious TBN prosperity pimp Steve Munsey. Pringle had Steve Munsey speak a few years ago at his Presence Conferences.]

Here is the transcript:

“No. I promise Pastor Phil Munsey I will not take longer than thirty three minutes, amen!

I’m so glad to have this man here! He’s a hero of mine. An absolute hero in the faith. No doubt about it.

And uh- he ah-he-he- him and I have some similar thing because he lives just down the road from Saddleback Church – and he’s had to live with- you know- a larger church in town.

I live in the same city as Hillsong and- you know, it drives me mad.

You know I like- I just die every time somebody mentions it- I’ve done- a bit- lived with that for twenty five years. But I’m kind-of a secure guy- I really don’t care- I’m quite happy about what we’re doing and where we’re going. But y-you gotta know what t-the living with that sort of thing does- you gotta understand this: somebody’s always got something bigger. If you play the who’s-got-the-bigger-one… game- er. [Audience laughs]

What are you laughing at? You’re a bunch of rascals here you know that? My God! That just- that just- that just did not land right. [Audience laughs]

I told these guys, “You know I preach sometimes like seven times. This is only my what? Fourth time? By the seventh time I am saying things that are ludicrous. I c- I don’t even know what I am saying.”

Source: Phil Pringle, “Find Your Flavor” // Phil Pringle // 03.16.14, Vimeo, http://vimeo.com/89512591, C3 Church San Diego, Uploaded Wednesday March 19, 2014 10:49 AM. (Accessed 22/03/2014.)

It looks as though the rivalry is still strong, Phil Pringle still lamenting in Houston’s shadow. The “who’s-got-the-bigger-one game”continues.

So what is happening? Why is there this this unusual ‘unity’ among rivals?

With our rise in C3 readership, the reports we get from C3 leadership and the rise of insults we get from behind the pulpit, we are wondering if this is having an effect on Presence Conference registration.

If the conference registration is low, we are wondering if C3 members are having issues with Phil Pringle’s dishonesty and silence over the scandals he is associated with. We know leaders who are unhappy with Pringle’s dishonesty over the Kong Hee scanda l(who is still speaking this year at Pringle’s conference), frustrated with his silence over the Yonggi Cho scandal and questioning his involvement with the C3 Asheville scandal.

Like we’ve said elsewhere, going by the tweets and instagram photos, Brian Houston and Phil Pringle seem to have bonded more closely from last November to now. So is Brian Houston simply speaking at C3 Presence Conference to do Pringle a favour because registration is low? In inviting Houston to speak at Presence Conference this year, is Pringle hoping that Houston will draw enough people to raise the numbers to pay for the use of the facilities?

LOUIS GIGLIO STANDS WITH PHIL PRINGLE, BRIAN HOUSTON, AND KONG HEE AT C3 CHURCH

By Ken Silva pastor-teacher on Jan 9, 2014 in AM Missives, Current Issues, Features

A

Apprising Ministries continues with our documenting for you The Falling Away Of The Evangelical Church. Even a few years ago who would have thought Word Faith Heretics Like Creflo Dollar Draw Nearer To Evangelical Acceptance. Yet the apostasy has continued to grow.

We’ve reached the point where we even see Francis Chan Has Endorsed New Apostolic Teacher Mike Bickle. Now I’ll point out to you that Louis Giglio will be sharing the platform with blatant Word Faith preacher Phil Pringle of the C 3 Church (C3) movement in April.

As is typical of Word Faith (WF) organizations, Scripture is ignored and C3 is led by pastor Phil along with his wife pastrix Chris aka Mama Chris:

A4
(source)

It would seem Louis Giglio doesn’t have a problem with women acting as elders as he’s had Beth Moorepreach a Sunday morning service at his own church.1 The fact is, Giglio is set to be one of the “voices” for Phil Pringle’s C3 Church Presence Conference 2014 (C3 2014) this coming April 22-25.

As you can see, Louis Giglio is set to be on the platform at C3 2014 along with WF preachers like Pringle, Brian Houston, and Kong Hee:

A5
(source)

However, we’re really not surprised because this isn’t the first time Giglio has shared the platform with WF preachers; he was already at Houston’s infamous annual Hillsong Conference back in 2012:

Evangelist Louie Giglio, speaking during the last day of the Hillsong Conference in Sydney Friday, shared about how he was lifted by God’s grace from a more than two-month struggle with the physical and emotional symptoms of stress and depression. (source)

Looks like that message would fit in just fine at a self help-style WF conference. Another time we’ll look further at Brian Houston; however, for our purposes here, you should know that Houston is the ring leader of the nefarious WF Hillsong Church, Australia.

In fact, Houston’s lead pastor along with his wife pastrix Bobbie; and two years ago we even saw Beth Moore To Speak For Hillsong Church. Houston’s also growing in stature with the burgeoning Evangelical Ecumenical Magisterium (EEM) as well.

This is evidenced e.g. in this tweet from EEM leader Mark Driscoll back on May 5 of 2012:

B
(source)

You may also recall that EEM junior member Judah Smith regularly preaches for Brian Houston’s HC conferences. And you need to know that now Houston’s even got the kind of clout necessary within the apostatizing visible church to land two of the biggest names in Christendom for HC’s 2013 conference.

Notice that Smith shared the podium with EEM godfather Rick Warren and Word Faith self help guru Joel Osteen as I previously showd you in Joel Osteen Moving One Step Closer To Mainstream Evangelicalism:

AA
(source)

Rick Warren was there at HC as far back as 2006 and he returned the favor a couple of years ago with Word Faith Preacher Brian Houston Of Hillsong Australia Speaking At Saddleback Church. By the way HC Conference 2013 also featured Word Faith mogul T.D. Jakes.2

Now consider that Phil Pringle has been able to land both Brian Houston and Louis Giglio; and so it seems that Pringle himself is now moving more into the mainstream. 2012 appears a busy one for this cross pollination of theology; and sure enough, Pringle’s move would begin that year as well.

It happened when he brought in highly influential EEM prophet-pastor Steven Furtick to his C3 2012 conference:

What I am trying to do here is to help you see that there’s a real convergence of evangelicalism with the biggest names in the Word Faith movement; Giglio standing with such as these will now serve to further align his Passion/268 Jesus Generation movement with their own WF movements.

We should also find it of interest to note that Hillsong United, which originated at Houston’s HC, is slated to entertain the young at Giglio’s upcoming Passion 2014; and in addition, former Hillsong pastrixChristine Caine will also once again share the podium with Louis Giglio there at Passion.3

Are we really to think that all of this interbreeding is truly happening by some sheer coincidence? Finally, Giglio will be at Phil Pringle’s C3 2014 with Kong Hee, an up and coming WF pastor. You may recall that name from Rising Word Faith Pastor Kong Hee Arrested For Alleged Misuse Of Church Funds.

Then there was the disturbing idolatry of CHC Youth Worship Of Kong Hee And His CHC? Therein I informed you that Hee is founder of the largest church in Singapore, City Harvest Church, where he is pastor along with his wife pastrix Ho Yeow Sun, also known in the pop music world as Sun Ho.

Below Kong Hee compares himself to Jesus Christ and shares some direct revelation where Hee claims God actually thanks him for going through his trial and even apologizes to Hee that, like Jesus, he has to bear it alone:

Here’s the bottom line: Louis Giglio has considerable credibility within evangelicalism, New Calvinism, and with the young, restless, and reformed. Yet it’s this kind of spiritual lunacy in the Lord’s Name that he decides to lend his credibility to; and now that I have dared to be critical of Phil Pringle, let me quickly close.

For you see, I guess I’d better be afraid…be very afraid,,,because apparently, according to Pringle, God might actually kill me for opposing his spiritually bankrupt WF fables.4 But this is what the Lord says to Pringle et al:

2  false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction.

2 And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth will be blasphemed. 3 And in their greed they will exploit you with false words. Their condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep. (2 Peter 2:1-3)

“Steven Furtick’s financial empire was built with BLOOD MONEY — money earned twisting God’s Word, preaching false doctrine & deceiving people IN THE NAME OF JESUS.” – Chris Rosebrough, 23/10/2013.

Could the same be said of Phil Pringle of C3 Church and Brian Houston of Hillsong Church?

In the last few months, people have been hassling or giving us links to report on the lavish lifestyle of Phil and Chris Pringle, Senior Pastors and Founders of the C3 Church Movement. The Pringle’s recently purchased a $3.5 million house and had no problem flaunting their lifestyle on twitter or instagram.

My! What Big Faith You Have!

My! What Big Stories You Have!

It’s been reported in the past that Brian Houston and his wife Bobbie have property deals of up to $1.4 million and that they are tenants of waterfront properties at Bondi Beach and the Hawkesbury River that they sold to LMI. Not to mention, it was reported that Houston said his total salary was “just over $300 000″.

My! What Big Faith You Have! (From Hillsong Church Watch)

Just recently, Steven Furtick (close associate of Phil Pringle and Brian Houston), has come under scrutiny over his $1.7 million house and his CEO approach to church ministry. Before looking at some news articles, we thought it would be good to provide an article and some links from the Pajama Pages blog on this issue. After reading the Pajama Pages articles, we have media articles reporting on Furtick’s mansion. We hope these articles help you understand the nature of how mega churches like C3 and Hillsong run.

Pajama Pages reports,

The problem with businessmenpastors. A reader’s contribution

A comment in the Walt White article is impressively on point that I think it deserves to be read by people who may not have made it to the end of that article. PP reader, Josh, posted the following this afternoon:

The problem with Furtick isn’t that he’s rich, or even that he’s a rich pastor. The problem is that he’s rich because he’s a pastor. If professing Christian Steven Furtick started a successful bakery, retail store or construction company in 2006 that was incredibly successful, so much so that he could buy a $3 million home, few would criticize him for enjoying his earnings. In fact, the world and people in the church generally look favorably on successful Christian businessmen. No one questions how Truett Cathy spends his Chick-fil-a money, for example.

The problem is that Furtick and others got their money by turning the church into a business. Pastors like Furtick are obsessed with business leadership because they fashion themselves as the CEO and identify more with celebrity CEOs like Steve Jobs than with non-celebrity pastors. Decisions are made by the CEO to build the brand, to create a larger customer base, to increase the giving margin, and to expand into new opportunities. Church personnel decisions are made in the same way. Is the youth pastor growing the youth brand? Is the worship pastor stylish enough? While such decisions are constrained at some point by biblical considerations…they aren’t going to hire a guy who publicly rejects the Bible…the biblical standards of Titus 1 and 1 Timothy 3 aren’t really considerations.

This creates two problems, though. One, churches aren’t businesses and aren’t supposed to be run as such. There is nothing wrong with Macy’s developing a non-fraudulent pricing and promotional strategy designed to extricate consumers with as many spending dollars as possible. Macy’s should offer products and services designed to produce high margin income. But churches aren’t businesses. The pastor shouldn’t spend time developing (or, more likely, purchasing from consultants) “offering talks,” or message series, or coaching services, or conferences with a goal of increasing the church’s income. The church shouldn’t be selling books and t-shirts and lattes and Bibles or anything else. God’s house is not a house of merchandise!

So when the Furticks of the Christian world stand up and talk about money (and they talk about money a lot!) it sounds a lot like Macy’s running television commercials for their two-day After-Thanksgiving sale. When they preach on tithing (a subject on which Bible-believing Christians can easily disagree), it sounds self-serving because it is self-serving. Is it Furtick the preacher of God’s Word talking, or Furtick the CEO of Elevation Church, Inc. talking? Nothing has changed in two thousand years. A pastor cannot serve two masters.

The second problem is the conflict of interest between the company (the church) and the CEO (the pastor.) Former GM CEO Charles Wilson reportedly once claimed that “What’s good for GM is good for the country.” (A misquote, but that’s not the point here.) Celebrity CEO pastors seem to believe that what’s good for the Lead Pastor is good for the church. That’s why they freely write and promote books on the church’s time and bring in other celebrity CEO pastors to “teach” (with undisclosed and sizable speaking fees). Does Furtick invite Craig Groeshel to teach for $____ because Groeshel brought in Furtick to teach at Lifechurhc for $_____? No one knows because it’s all a big, big secret. Is the five-week sermon series on “Sun Stand Still Prayers” for the edification of the church, or to promote the CEO’s new book, which is conveniently for sale in the church bookstore. Building the CEO’s profile will help him sell books, increase his demand as a guest speaker, and feed his ego. But does it benefit the church? None of your business.

The clear conflict of interest is exacerbated by an utter lack of accountability. Sure, if Furtick gets caught sleeping with his cute personal assistant (which has happened in at least two smaller CEO-style churches I’m aware of), he couldn’t salvage his position. But no one from inside his inner circle is going to question his business dealings, his use of church time to work on and promote his books, his purchase of his own and friends’ books by the church, his speaking fee at churches with mutual relationships, or his promotional choice of message series. Anyone from the inside who did ask such impertinent questions would suddenly find themselves on the outs, and in a personality-driven organization, loss of access to the leader is a dire sanction. Outsiders in the media or blog may ask questions, but they won’t get answers. And the rank and file members will stay on and keep giving…

Kong Hee & Phil Pringle: It Is Not About The Numbers… Right?

07 Monday Oct 2013

c3, CHC, Christian City Church, City Harvest Church, hillsong, hillsong church, Kong Hee, Phil Pringle, Presence Conference, Presence Conference 2012, Presence Conference 2013

Church growth numbers is a common talking point with Kong Hee and Phil Pringle to stress their credibility to audiences. We’ve seen Pringle use figure-boosting tactics to encourage people to give money. We’ve seen Pringle use this scheme to elevate such men as Kong Hee at his Presence Conferences.

As a result, critics of critics often elevate the success of these men and their churches by spouting church figures to groups or individuals like us. We are seen as wrong by Hillsong, C3 and the CHC cults because C3 Church Watch is not supposedly changing thousands of lives unlike them. But when has church numbers ever been the standard of who’s right or wrong? Is not the only standard the Word of God?

But that’s all right! According to these cults their false teachers also parrot the common phrase, “It’s not about the numbers”… Really?

If Kong Hee and Phil Pringle continually stress “It’s not about the numbers”, why do they both continually mislead the public with highly exaggerated church figures?

In 2010, the investigations into City Harvest Church started. Many heard that their numbers were in decline. However in 2012, C3 advertised Kong Hee on their Presence Conference website:

“I CAN SEE A NEW GENERATION OF CHRISTIANS WITH THE ANOINTING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, PRAYING LIKE NEVER BEFORE”

We welcome back Kong Hee, founder and leader of the mighty City Harvest Church in Singapore. Along with his wife Sun, Kong has grown his great congregation to over 28,000 members through passionate prayer and discipleship. His teaching on the cultural mandate fules [sic] his passion for being engaged in all levels of society and has had a great impact on the [sic] throughout the world.

Source: Conference Speakers, http://www.myc3church.net/presence12/speakers.html. (Accessed 15/03/2012.)

So we are told between 2011 and 2012 that Kong Hee has a congregation of 28,000. That same number was still advertised between 2012 to 2013.

The C3 Global Presence Conference 2013 advertised Kong Hee with this profile:

“Kong is the founder and leader of City Harvest Church in Singapore. Along with his wife Sun, Kong has grown his congregation to over 28,000 members through passionate prayer and discipleship…”

Source: presenceconference.com. (Accessed 01/05/2013.)

proof_presenceconference-KHee_

So in 2012 and 2013 Kong Hee has had a congregation of 28,000 people right?

To this day we have continually hear conflicting reports that his church has dropped significantly in numbers since investigations started back in 2010. At different times at various Presence Conference sessions Kong Hee has also confirmed that his church is slowly growing again in numbers. It appears that the church numbers conveniently change to suit either his persecuted status or his infallible Apostle-like status. This seems to be done to charm his naive audiences.

We bring all this to your attention for this reason.

Recently the CHC Confessions Facebook group posted up information from a CHC insider:

CHC was never a 30,000-member church as KH claimed over and over again, even as recently as last weekend during his sermon.

CHC congregation size and attendance reached a peak in the year 2009, and have since been decreasing steadily. The figures are as follows:

YEAR-END average attendance:
– Year 2009: 28,134 *

Strange Fire: How Much Will This Conference Impact Christianity?

Recently, Phil Johnson wrote the following article:

NOT LAUGHING NOW
…

Rodney Howard-Browne, self-styled “Holy Ghost Bartender,” has taken notice of the Strange Fire conference sponsored by Grace to You (October 16-18, 2013). He seems unnerved by the prospect that twenty-first-century charismatic phenomena are going to be examined in light of Scripture. Howard-Browne’s trademark giddiness has gone missing. Recently, he wrote this stream-of-consciousness rant on his Facebook page:

There is coming a massive attack on the Pentecostal/ Charismatic movement by a group of individuals that don’t believe in the power of the Holy Spirit today – these men do not believe in speaking in tongues or the gifts of the spirit – they think that because of excesses in the church that they have a right to write off the fastest growing sector of Christianity – over 800 million in the earth today – that would be as bad as writing Jesus off because of one of the 12 was Judas Iscariot – if these individuals just adopted Gamaliel’s advice of Acts 5:38-39 that would be fine however they have no fear of God and are in grave danger of blaspheming the Holy Ghost – they think that because the movement has had scandals that have been publicised that this gives them leeway to do what they are doing – however the only reason why it gets the attention is because these individuals are on TV – everywhere I travel I hear of scandals outside of the Pentecostal charismatic realm but these are never publicised because no one knows them – they are calling their exposé strange fire however you better have the alternative if you are going to criticise something as counterfeit you have to produce the real – or else you had better shut up! The only ones who have the right to bring correction are the ones inside the camp not outside!

All the standard charismatic arguments are summarized there: He says critics of modern charismatic claims are unspiritual people motivated only by rank unbelief. He insists the weight of sheer numbers validates the modern charismatic movement (yet the high percentage of scandalous frauds, philanderers, and false teachers spawned by the movement means nothing). He emphatically declares that those outside the movement are not entitled to criticize charismatic abuses. And of course he includes the killer argument: The critics are people who “have no fear of God and are in grave danger of blaspheming the Holy Ghost.”

In reality, those who tout false prophecies, obscene bodily gyrations, and drunken behavior as gifts of the Holy Spirit are the ones blaspheming Him. In fact, no one is more notorious for that than Rodney Howard-Browne himself. For him to decry blasphemy and pretend to know anything about the fear of God is the very height of arrogant irony.

If you think that sounds unduly harsh, watch this video of a typical Rodney Howard-Browne “ministry” binge:

What was Rodney Howard-Browne reacting against?

In October 2013, John MacArthur will be putting on a conference called ‘Strange Fire’. This event will explore what the Bible says about the Holy Spirit and how that reflects the spirit presented within the charismatic movement.

The ‘Strange Fire’ conference page has this to say about the event,

Overview

The sons of Aaron…offered strange fire before the LORD…and fire came out from the presence of the LORD and consumed them.
—Leviticus 10:1–2

The Lord calls His people to honor Him, to treat Him as holy. Leviticus 10 pictures the consequences of not doing so—of offering to Him strange fire.

For the last hundred years, the charismatic movement has been offering a strange fire of sorts to the third Person of the Godhead—the Holy Spirit. And evangelical churches have chosen to be silent or indifferent on the matter. This hasn’t served the church or the Spirit of the church with honor.

So what should be our response?

Strange Fire is a conference that will set forth what the Bible really says about the Holy Spirit, and how that squares with the charismatic movement. We’re going to address in a biblical, straightforward manner what many today see as a peripheral issue. On the contrary, your view of the Holy Spirit influences your relationship with God, your personal holiness, and your commitment to the church and evangelism.

We want you to join us for Strange Fire. It really is for everyone—especially if you’re working through these issues with a friend, your family, or your church. Space is limited, register today.

  • Strange Fire is a Truth Matters conference, sponsored by Grace to You.
  • The conference will be held at Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California.

If you would like to examine Rodney Howard-Browne’s credentials, you can read what we discovered about them here:

Congo Line Of Unqualified Ministers Endorsed By Phil Pringle

The Christian Post reports John MacArthur saying,

“Worship is a very serious matter. How you come before a Holy God is the most important thing you will ever do.”
– Nicola Menzie, Christian Post, John MacArthur Takes on Charismatic Movement With ‘Strange Fire’ Conference, http://www.christianpost.com/news/john-macarthur-takes-on-charismatic-movement-with-strange-fire-conference-97968/, 2:13pm, 15/06/2013. (Accessed 20/06/2013.)

In light of the issues being addressed at John Macarthur’s upcoming “Strange Fire” Conference, do churches like C3/Hillsong honor the Holy Spirit or blaspheme Him?

Don’t Mess With CHC’s Advisory Pastor A.R. Bernard – He’ll “Honestly” Deal With You Too

THE INTEGRITY OF ADVISORY PASTOR A.R. BERNARD

C3 Church Watch has gathered a vast load of information that reveals why cult leader Phil Pringle is not fit to be an Advisory Pastor for CHC. However, now we wish to turn your attention to CHC’s Advisory Pastor AR Bernard. He too has close associations with Phil Pringle and C3 Church (and also Hillsong).

We strongly advise C3 Church, Hillsong and City Harvest Church to have nothing to do with A.R. Bernard. We do not know when or where this was recorded. However, ministers should think twice about their own integrity if they choose to associate with A.R. Bernard.

Any God-fearing Christian should be disgusted that AR Bernard calls deceitful scheming men that achieve his selfish purposes “God’s favour”. To use the story of Rahab the prostitute in Joshua 6 to justify his behaviour is not the way a Christian pastor should behave. Nor should he be promoting such immoral behaviour to his audience.

Pray that AR Bernard repents.

[Edit: Transcipt now added (20/04/2013)]

“Here’s a question that comes up – “Can you be totally honest and be
successful in the marketplace? Can you be totally honest and yet be
successful in the marketplace?”

Now of course people who don’t subscribe to the Lord, who don’t subscribe to
our value system will say “No you can’t! You have to be involved in bribes, you have to be corrupt and involved in corruption. You have to pay “under the table”, (laughs). You have to be a crook in order to be successful in the marketplace.”

Now many can honestly say that this has, you have, you have experienced a
question like this, an issue like this, since you’ve been in the marketplace. Oh! It would only happen in America? Oh, man! [Laughs]

Where’s there’s a conflict of values and you’re put in a situation where you
have an opportunity for a deal, alright? But somewhere in the midst, they
want you to lie.

Now this is a dilemma that I had to think about and I came across a story
because my value is, that not that honesty is the best policy, honesty is the
only policy! Because if you say it’s the best, it means you have a other
choice. But when you say it’s the only policy, you don’t have a choice.
You’re going to be honest all the time, alright? And because you value
integrity, no matter what the price is, you’re going to be honest.

Now let me give you some real practical stuff that goes on in the marketplace.
Let me give you a story.

There was a women named Rahab in the bible. You’ve heard of her? Alright,
she was a prostitute and uh- she lived on the wall in Jericho. And God had
promised that Israel, under the leadership of Joshua, would ultimately take
Jericho. Jericho was nervous because they heard about the God of Israel
and the incredible things He had done and His power and all that. So the
king of Jericho was terrified. The people of Jericho were terrified. This
prostitute heard about it.

So ah- Joshua sends two spies. Goes to the city to check out the condition of
things and these two spies come to this house of this woman, (who was a
prostitute), named Rahab. And- the presence of the spies immediately indicates that Israel is about to make a move on Jericho. And Rahab is concerned about her own safety so she looks to make a deal because she believes what she’s heard about this God of Israel- of the Israleites.

So she says, “Look, I’ve heard about what your God did to certain kings, how
He crushed their kingdoms. Word has gotten around and I’m going to tell you,
everybody is terrified.” So she makes a deal for her own safety. She says, “Look I want to make a deal with you. If I help you, will you look out for me when the assault takes place?” And they basically said, “Yeah, we’ll help you.”

So here’s what happens, interesting scenario, alright?

Word gets out that these two spies aaare there, so she takes them up to the
roof and she hides them and then the men of Jericho, the military of
Jericho, comes to her house and say “Look we heard that two men came to you and we want to know where they are.”

Now here’s the dilemma. Here’s the moral dilemma when I talk about integrity
and honesty, alright?

Rahab says “Um, actually I don’t know where they are. In fact I- they
came and then they went off in a certain direction”. And the military, the
guys from Jericho said “Oh-” they believe her, alright OK? And they turn and went off looking for these two spies. But the whole time she had them hidden on her roof! Now here’s the problem! She lied! How do we reconcile a person
lying and yet serving the efforts of God? That’s the dilemma.

I remember one principle that I heard and um- it- the principle was, ah- that no lie ever serves the kingdom of God. And I had to think that through and say
“Well, wait a minute! That’s not true! There’s been quite a few lies through the bible”.

And then I started associating names. Mmmm- Abraham (laughs) the father of faith, who lied. So you know, listen, we’ve got to be honest as Christians, and when we read something in the bible, we can’t try to gloss it over and rearrange it. It is what it is, it says what it says. So here’s this woman in the service of God, she lies! Boldly lies! How do I reconcile that?

Well I had to reason this through and said, “Okay”.

Number one, the men, the spies as it appears okay, the spies maintain their integrity. And the person who lied okay, was a person on the outside who heard about this God YAHWEH but was not in relationship with this God YAHWEH. So she had certain values that were not the same as these individuals’ values that they got from Yahweh. And I thought about that and I realised that there are times, (and I’ve experienced this, and you will too), where in business transactions God actually used people who had different values and lower standards, to get His work done. Now let me say, whoa wait a minute! [Laughter] Come on!. Come on! Let’s be honest here, alright? I’ll give you two illustrations, OK?”

When we were bidding on this housing development and we bid again below a billion dollars, but our bid was accepted, everyone had their part to play.
So we had a team, we had equity partners, we had development partners, we
had the government and the community, with my responsibility to use my
influence with government and community in order to make this deal go
through.

So I remember when the equity partners were about to leave and they said to
me, they said, “Reverend, we don’t think you should be in on this meeting”. [laughter] They said, “Because we’ve got to roll up our sleeves and go to work in order to get the underwriting that we’re gonna need for this project”. I said,
“Well, what do you mean, I don’t need to be there?” They said, “You really don’t need to be there REVEREND (emphasis)” [More laughter]

So the lights went on, and I said “Ohhhhhhhhh, OK! I won’t be there!”
[Laughter] So whatever went on in that meeting, I didn’t want to know about
it, I didn’t want to be a part of it, BUT I KNEW THAT THERE WOULD BE THINGS
GOING ON IN THAT MEETING THAT WERE INCONSISTENT WITH MY INTEGRITY AND MY STANDARDS [More laughter]. SO I ALLOWED MY PARTNERS TO PROTECT ME FROM WHAT THEY WERE ABOUT to engage in.

Now, what did they do? I don’t know. But when they came out of that meeting, we had the financing we needed. And I said “Hallelujah!” [More laughter]

Let me give you another illustration: when we were building- [Laughs] We were building our 11-1/2 acre campus. Now in New York City, concrete and steel construction, ah, has been for decades owned by one family (and I don’t say the Trump family). it was a family that spells its name like this [Laughter] You know a family I’m talking about? [More laughter].

They ownsteel, they own concrete, they own rubbish removal. Listen, across the board, nothing gets built without their involvement, OK?

So we were building in the late 90’s. There were also coalitions, and the
coalitions and unions get involved in order to push work for their union
members. So any project that’s going on, coalition leaders will come down
and take a look at the project and ask, “Do you have any union labor here?
Because if not, we’re going to shut this place down!” And they could.

Now what we did, instead of hiring a separate development company, we were the GC (General Contractor) on the project. So if anybody was gonna get upset, they were gonna to get upset with the church. And you just don’t attack the church. That’s number one!

So what we did was outsource it, to bring it in. So when we went to purchase
steel, (in order to do the steelwork, alright), we had to deal with the company that happened to be a part of this family. So in sitting down and talking
[Laughs], with the head of the company. He said, “Well, you know, our family
does concrete. Our family does, you know, ah, fencing”. And they told me all the services provided by their family. I said, “But look, in order for me to do
this project fairly, I have to bid it out.” They said, “Don’t worry. We will
always come in with the best bid. So get anyone else that you want to bid on
the project and I guarantee you, we’ll beat their bid”. [Laughter]

So [Laughs] we had two other bids and we had their bids and sure enough, for some reason, the other bidders said we can’t compete with that bid
[Laughter].

I don’t know if they couldn’t compete with the bid or the family! [Laughter]
So they disappeared and we only had this particular company to deal with. So
they started the project and I found out that word spread about this
particular company was handling our construction project. And as a result,
for some reason, we had no union problems, we had no coalition problems, no
community problems, no government problems. The project went pretty smooth! Uh!

So, on the land next to – we have 11-1/2 acres, we were developing 6-1/2
acres. And on the other side, there was, ah, a- like a backhoe, big construction
machine left on the property. So I saw that and I noticed it, and I noticed it- you know- it was there. And I think, “OK. They were using it so they parked it there because they need it”.

But they never used that machine! It just sat there! So I said, “OK, maybe they’re going to use it for something after”. But throughout the whole project, that machine just sat on the property next door to the property we were developing. So finally I asked the question. I said, “You know, you
guys have had that machine there for the past two years throughout the
development of this project and ummm, you know, you never used it. I don’t
understand.”

“Reverend, don’t worry about it, we just left it there”.

Well, I found out that that machine was a “marker” and that machine sitting there “marker” told everybody who would drive by, “don’t touch this project!”
[Crowd: “Woooah!” Applause]

So the project was under the protection and development of this particular
family. [Laughet] Got it?

So there are times as we engage with the marketplace, God brings people to us who are not of the same values and integrity, who end up accomplishing things on our behalf, without us having to compromise our own integrity. It doesn’t mean you go out looking for corrupt people to do your work [Laughter]. Don’t think that that’s what I’m saying [Laughter]. There’s a difference when God gives you favour and sends someone, as opposed to you calling up, “Oh, OK. Let me give you the most corrupt individual you can find” [Laughter] . No, because then you become an accessory to the fact, alright?

But you’ll find, and I’ve found, (as it’s the only way I can explain this),
that there have been times when God has just given me favour and given me
people to do for me what I could not do for myself, nor did I need to know
[Laughs] how it was being done because God knows that I want to maintain my level of integrity and my service. Come on! Give God a good hand clap offering!

[Applause]

Now, Joseph experienced false accusation. Let me just say something to you
about false accusations. Number one, sometimes what appears to be a demotion is actually a promotion. Sometimes what appears to be a demotion is actually a promotion. Sometimes God humbles us in order to exalt us!

And as I said to you, there is no biblical record that shows where Joseph
was vindicated against this false accusation. But let me give you some
principles that I’ve learned over the years because I’ve gone through false
accusations about things and the Lord has told me, in one very critical
situation, “Just hold your peace, just be quiet and I’ll take care if this”.

And I held my peace, my wife wanted to talk because my wife said, “Well, He
told you that but He didn’t tell me that”. She wanted to talk but I said “No,
no, no, no, no, you’re under my covering!” [Laughter]

Let me give you a principle that I’ve observed over thirty one years, OK? False
accusation is the last stage before supernatural promotion.

Falseaccusation is the last stage before supernatural promotion. Now, which means that if the devil cannot attack your quality of service, if he cannot attack your integrity, then he’s got to make up a lie about you! And when he’s got to go that far, that is the last stage before promotion. So you shouldn’t get angry and upset. You should do exactly like Joseph. What do you do? Continue the quality of service and continue to walk in integrity.

Your name is attacked before you’re promoted. Your reputation is attacked
before you’re promoted. And if you can stand the attack on your reputation
because you’ve built the character that you need, then you’ll experience the
next level of promotion.

“Well, that’s not fair! Why do I have to be attacked? [Laughs] Why do I have
to go through false accusation to be promoted?” Because rememeber: we live
life on levels, we arrive on stages, right? And as you move from one level
of life to another, the INTIMACY of your relationships must change. So quite
often, false accusations that come against you, purge your relationships
because you discover who you real friends are.

And believe me, when you’re promoted, you’ll want to take your real friends with you, not the ones who pretend to be your friends. You really find out who your friends are.

Earlier I said to you that relationship is a network for life – relationship
is a network for life. [Asks where he is on time schedule, takes time for
break] – A.R. Bernard

Do C3, CHC & Hillsong Churches Know What The Role Of A Pastor Is? Do You?

The famous preacher Charles Haddon Spurgeon once said,

“A time will come when instead of shepherds feeding the sheep, the church will have clowns entertaining the goats.”

Do you think that a C3, CHC or Hillsong Pastor comes across more like an entertaining clown rather than a faithful shepherd? Chris Rosebrough from Fighting For the Faith wrote an exceptional article what the role of the pastor should be. Sadly, we do not know any C3 pastors or Hillsong Pastors who reflect the role of a proper biblical Christian pastor.

For Whom Do Pastors Exist?

If I had ten dollars for every time I’ve heard a seeker-driven pastor justify the crazy antics that happen in their churches by claiming that “the church doesn’t exist for believers”, I’d be able to purchase James MacDonald’s home with cash. These seeker-driven antics include such things as playing AC/DC’s Highway to Hell to open their Easter service, refusing to preach the Bible with any depth or accuracy, performing Michael Jackson’s Thriller, recreating the famous kiss scene from the Spiderman movie and a whole host of other crazy worldly stunts.

When you call these pastors out on their antics their responses are predictable and consistent and usually go something like this:

Example 1

Church Attender: Hey pastor, why don’t you ever preach exegetical sermons? I feel like I’m not being fed here because your sermons usually only contain 3 or 4 verses taken out of context in order to teach some relevant life principle.

Pastor: Why are you so selfish? The church doesn’t exist for you. It’s not about you.

Example 2

Church Attender: Hey pastor, why did you have the worship team begin our Easter service with AC/DC’s Highway to Hell rather than a song proclaiming Jesus’ victorious resurrection from the grave? AC/DC is worldly at best and satanic at worst and that blasphemous song should not be brought into God’s house.

Pastor: Why are you so selfish? The church doesn’t exist for you. It’s not about you. Church isn’t for the already convinced its for the not yet convinced.

Example 3

Church Attender: Hey pastor, why are you preaching about movies rather than preaching God’s Word like 2 Tim 4:1-3 commands?

Pastor: Why are you so selfish? The church doesn’t exist for you. It’s not about you. Our church exists for people who are not yet believers.

Notice that each time the pastor answers using the standard seeker-driven talking point and doesn’t answer the question but makes a blanket claim that the church doesn’t exist for believers and therefore the person asking the question is guilty of selfishly believing that the church exists for them.

Anyone who’s been railroaded by these tactics knows that something is way off about these claims being made by seeker-driven pastors but don’t exactly know how to put their finger on the problem or know how to put it into words. This post will help you do that.

Notice that every time the word pastor has appeared, thus far, in this post that I’ve bolded it and underlined it. That is to help you spot the irony of the statements being made by seeker-driven pastorsand that irony will help you identify the underlying error in their tactics and methodologies.

Here’s the irony…No where in scripture does it say that the church exists for unbelievers. BUT, there are clear passages that state that pastors and elders are to serve the church. Therefore, it is ironic and foolish for a pastor, whose job is to serve the church to justify methods that don’t serve Christians by claiming that the church doesn’t exist for believers.

Here are the key passages that address this topic. We’ll begin by first looking at the passages that discuss spiritual gifts. The reason for this is that the ability to teach God’s word is a gift given by the Holy Spirit to certain people within the body of Christ.

The Purpose of Spiritual Gifts is to Build Up the Church Not The World

The Bible teaches that God, The Holy Spirit gives different gifts to different believers for the building up of the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:4–7). Teaching is one of the gifts that the Holy Spirit gives to pastors and this gift is to be used specifically for believers.

Ephesians 4:8–13 states this very clearly:

“(In saying, “He ascended,” what does it mean but that he had also descended into the lower regions, the earth? He who descended is the one who also ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.) And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ,”

In clear and unambiguous language God states that shepherds (pastors) and teachers in the church exist to equip the saints (not unbelievers) and to build up the body of Christ (not the world). This is clear and irrefutable.

Those Who Have the Gift To Teach Are Commanded to Feed Christ’s Sheep by Teaching the Word of God

The duties of shepherds and teachers within the church are governed by the instructions given by Jesus Christ.

“When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Feed my lambs.” He said to him a second time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him,“Tend my sheep.” He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, “Do you love me?” and he said to him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep.” (John 21:15–17)

Notice that in this passage Jesus doesn’t tell Peter to entertain goats or dazzle the world. Instead, Christ soberly and firmly reinstates Peter after he’d denied Jesus three times. And Peter was reinstated into ministry and that ministry was to shepherd and feed Christ’s sheep. These commands by Jesus to Peter stuck with him his entire life. Peter himself would later exhort elders (pastors) with these words:

“So I exhort the elders among you, as a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, as well as a partaker in the glory that is going to be revealed: shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you;not for shameful gain, but eagerly; not domineering over those in your charge, but being examples to the flock. And when the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.” (1 Peter 5:1–4)

This shepherding language is also use by the Apostle Paul when he addresses the elders of the Church of Ephesus. Here are Paul’s words of exhortation:

“Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God, which he obtained with his own blood. I know that after my departure fierce wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock; and from among your own selves will arise men speaking twisted things, to draw away the disciples after them.” (Acts 20:28–31)

It’s clear from these passages that pastors are not literal shepherds and that Christians are not literal sheep. All of these images are metaphors that help create a mental picture of the difficult and sacrificial work of pastors. So, when Jesus told Peter to “feed my sheep” what was Jesus referring to? What does a Pastor/Shepherd feed Christ’s sheep with?

The answer is simple, the Word of God, and two passages will suffice in demonstrating this fact:

“[Jesus] answered, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.” (Matthew 4:4)

“But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.” (2 Timothy 3:14–4:4)

No commentary is needed for these verses because they clearly teach that God’s Word is ‘sheep food’ and that pastors are to be feeding the scriptures to Christ’s sheep.

The Bottom Line

The next time you hear a seeker-driven pastor attempt justify his shallow sermons and entertainment driven stunts by claiming that “the church doesn’t exist for believers”, kindly inform him that regardless of who the church exists for, his job exists to serve believers and Christ’s sheep and that if he won’t do his job that he’s rebelling against Jesus Christ Himself.

And This Is How Pringle Restores Fallen ‘Pastor’ (And Prophet) Pat Mesiti?

pringle mesiti and money

In a previous article, we posted a transcript that revealed Phil Pringle allowing Pat Mesiti to financially con people to give money to Phil Pringle’s ministry. In this con, we pointed out that Pat Mesiti misleads and manipulates people to part with their finances.

Phil Pringle & Pat Mesiti Conning C3 Church To Give Cash

Here is another transcript that further reveals Phil Pringle endorsing Money-Magnet Mesiti to preach on money again at C3 Church in 2006. This critique should highlight how dangerously cult-like the C3 Church movement really is. In this sermon, Mesiti mangles or misses the point of  every scripture. He even claims to speak on behalf of God, (thus elevating himself to the status of infallibility). At the very bottom is transcript. Below is the critique.

IT’S ABOUT MESITI GETTING YOUR MONEY

Below, Pat Mesiti was invited to do an offering talk. That means, Mesiti was invited up by Phil Pringle to financially manipulate people into giving. Mesiti does a brilliant job in selectively replacing the words of God to get people to give money.

Here are some examples.

SAMPLE 1: JESUS WANTS YOU TO DO WHAT HE SAYS: TITHE

Mesiti says, “Jesus said this, that if you love me, do what I say… In Malachi Chapter 3…”

Jesus in a number ways says in John 14, “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments”.

The difference is significant. By changing that one word, Mesiti has essentially:

1. taken Jesus’ statement out of context

2. turned Jesus’ statement around to apply something un-Christian so Mesiti can get Christians to do what he wants them to do.

Jesus says the above command FOUR times in this discourse, (John 14:15, 21, 23, 24). It becomes evident, that the disciples at that time had to hear Jesus’ instructions and teachings. Why? They were entrusted with his teachings and commands while he was on earth with them. The word for ‘keep’ in the original Greek in these four passages are tērēsete (14:15), tērōn (14:21), tērēsei (14:23) and  tērei (14:24). Each essentially meanin the same thing:  ‘to watch over, to guard’. Jesus was telling HIS disciples, “If you love me, you will WATCH OVER AND GUARD my commandments/teachings.”

In context, Jesus later explains (emphasis ours),

“Whoever does not love me does not keep my words (logous). And the word (logos) that you hear is not mine but the Father’s who sent me.

“These things I have spoken to you while I am still with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.” John 14:24-26

This instruction was given to the Apostles not us. This is why the Apostles wrote  the gospels Matthew, Mark, Luke, John and their epistles. Pat Mesiti has twisted the words of Jesus for his own un-Christian agenda. Jesus did not say, “if you love me, do what I say” so Mesiti can preach that we are to tithe.

SAMPLE 2: MESITI CURSES CHRISTIANS AT C3

In Malachi 3:8, Mesiti chooses to say, “will a man restrict, will a man block God”. In his attempt to convince people that the tithe is grace orientated, Mesiti tries to convince people that to tithe is to unblock God’s grace. This is backwards Christianity. If a Christian is to work at unblocking God’s grace, then how can one receive grace in the first place?

If Mesiti is elevating the giving of the tithe to unblock God’s blessing/power over his people, than Mesiti’s god is an incompetent god. A powerless god that is dependent on our works. So how can Pat Mesiti say this?

“the tithe, literally is a sign that God is really Lord and master over all. That is the symbol of the tithe.”

To teach that we can UNBLOCK God in our lives through tithing and then teach that the “tithe, literally is a sign that God is really Lord and master over all,” is double speak or double mindedness. The tithe is NOT a Christian teaching. This is heresy. This is legalism.

Furthermore, Pat Mesiti reveals how conniving he actually is to get people to give money. He lets his listeners know that Christians have issues with the teaching of Malachi 3:8-10.

“Now some people might say, ‘yeah, that’s Old Testament that’s under law.'”

Rightly so. Mesiti later refers to Abraham’s tithe to Melchizedek prior to the Law, saying this proves that the tithe… is not of the Law? But Mesiti cannot have it both ways. You can’t convince an audience that people ate fish ten years ago by eating bananas. Similarly, Mesiti can’t preach the tithe under the Mosaic Law and then say it never was.

In regards to Abraham’s tithe, God blessed Abraham FIRST and Abraham tithed ONCE. Yet Mesiti is trying to con people to tithe FIRST and CONSTANTLY so they can UNBLOCK God to receive blessings from His hands. According to Mesiti it is the tithe, not God, that “brings you protection” and “opens up the windows of Heaven”.

Has Mesiti not read Malachi 3:8-11? Last time we checked it was GOD who opens the ‘windows of heaven’ and protects us by ‘rebuking the devourer’ not the tithe. (Emphasis ours.)

“Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the LORD of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need. I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the fruits of your soil, and your vine in the field shall not fail to bear, says the LORD of hosts.” Malachi 3:10-11

It should be clear that Mesiti can’t even read the bible let alone notice his eyes are not on God but on money. He seems convinced that tithing money into a poker-machine-god will result in unblocking the chambers and receiving it’s abundant cash flow and supernatural protection. In this instance, this scriptural rebuke from the Apostle Paul applies to ‘restored pastor’ Pat Mesiti AND Phil Pringle for peddling this shameful message. (Emphasis added.)

“You foolish [pastors]! Who has bewitched you? Before your very eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed as crucified. I would like to learn just one thing from you [Pringle and Mesiti]: Did you receive the Spirit by observing the law, or by believing what you heard? Are you so foolish? After beginning with the Spirit, are you now trying to attain your goal by human effort? Have you suffered so much for nothing—if it really was for nothing?” Galatians 3:1-4

This then makes us question what Pat Mesiti means when he says, “I want to see people saved.” As a ‘restored pastor’, how can he wish to see people saved if he has no idea what the foundation of Christianity is? He has done a better job cursing and condemning Christians using God’s Law than pointing believers to the saving work of Christ. Mesiti is either lying on stage or he has no idea what he is doing as a ‘restored pastor’ (thanks to Phil Pringle’s mentor-ship).

MESITI MISSING THE POINT

Even every single scripture Mesiti even refers to in this sermon, he misses the point completely. Mesiti says,

“God doesn’t get that concept [of ‘just enough’] …because wherever God does a miracle…listen to me church, the loaves and the fishes, there’ll be 12 baskets left over…for everybody.”

Unfortunately, that miracle wan’t their to demonstrate that “God doesn’t get that concept” of ‘just enough’. The Apostle John explains why he recorded the loaves and the fishes miracle.

“Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.” John 20:30-31

pringle mesiti money scamMesiti also missed the point when he referred to the widow of Zarephath. She did not receive the blessing because she tithed or had a ‘God-is-more-then-‘just-enough’ mindset. In Hebrews 11 (the faith chapter), she is obscurely mentioned in verse 35. Hebrews teaches us that “By faith” “Women received back their dead, raised to life again.” This was a woman that put her faith in God through God’s famous prophet Elijah in ancient Israel. Her household was spared from death that fateful day. Later when her son did die, it was by faith that her son was raised from the dead. It wasn’t by works but by faith God favoured her. It was by God’s grace that Elijah was sent by God to her house. It wasn’t by works but by grace and faith she was saved. Mesiti teaches likewise.

From the bible’s perspective, Pat Mesiti is not at all qualified to be restored to be a pastor.

MESITI LIES ABOUT GOD AGAIN

Mesiti twisted the words of Jesus to guilt people into giving money to Phil Pringle and his C3 Organisation.

His constant misuse of scripture leads to this lie of a conclusion:

“We are bringing out tithes, the bible says, unto Jesus.”

This is a lie. The bible does NOT tell Christians to tithe to Jesus. Jesus never tithed. So Jesus could never have taught Christians to tithe. His Apostles never tithed. So His Apostles could never have taught Christians to tithe. How can the scriptures call us to imitate Paul, the way he imitated Christ, if neither of them tithed?

MESITI BLASPHEMING GOD

Pat Mesiti also revealed that the ‘Holy Spirit’ he heard was not of God:

“here’s what I believe the Holy Spirit spoke to my spirit about.

“Tell my people, I don’t understand the concept of ‘just enough’.””

Really? God spoke to Prophet Pat? Yet the Apostle Paul, who wrote much of the New Testament, taught this amazing truth from God to believers:

“For I do not mean that others should be eased and you burdened, but that as a matter of fairness your abundance at the present time should supply their need, so that their abundance may supply your need, that there may be fairness. As it is written, “Whoever gathered much had nothing left over, and whoever gathered little had no lack.”” 2 Corinthians 8:13-15

Isn’t it odd that Paul was thinking in advance AFTER the Corinths were to give money to the poor church in Jerusalem? Paul says that in the future, the Jerusalem church in their “their abundance may supply your [the Godly givers] need, that there may be fairness.” Fairness? According to Mesiti, they should have more than enough not “just enough”.

The above scripture portrays that Christians are to give freely to brothers so that all may have enough and vice versa. This then fulfills Paul’s use of the old testament scripture above. You will not find Paul teaching the church to tithe or to seek abundant material blessing. Nor will you see Paul teach that what you give, God will be unblocked to bless you back.

Furthermore, Paul says,

“I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at length you have revived your concern for me. You were indeed concerned for me, but you had no opportunity. Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:10-13

How could Mesiti pit the Holy Spirit against the Holy Spirit who wrote the scriptures? It is of our opinion that Pat Mesiti is blatantly lying to the C3 Church members. How else could he say the following, speaking on God’s behalf?

“and God says ‘I’ll pour open Heaven’ ‘I don’t understand the concept of just…..I wanna pour out abundance.’ But don’t restrict Him.””

Either way, this is serious slander against the character and teaching of God and His Holy Spirit. Mesiti is restricting God by telling people they can restrict God if they don’t give C3 their money. Furthermore, by claiming that God spoke to him or that he was speaking on behalf of God is incredibly dangerous. The fact that he spoke lies against God while claiming he was hearing from God should have made Pringle stand up and tell Mesiti to sit down.

The scriptures say that people like Mesiti and Pringle “in their greed … will exploit you with false words.” The ASV says false teachers in their greed “with feigned words make merchandise of you.” Is this not an accurate desciption of what Mesiti and Pringle are doing?

Don’t you think it is evil that Phil Pringle has ‘restored’ Pat Mesiti back into ministry, yet allowed him to lie about God’s word and slander God’s character? All for the sake so people can give money to Pringle’s church? Why didn’t Phil Pringle stop Mesiti from preaching? Why did he put up with this and endorse this message?

There is much more we could have focused on in this transcript. After reading the transcript below, feel free to comment on other points we missed.

Christian City Church

Oxford Falls

Sunday 1 October 2006

10am service

Pastors Phil Pringle and Pat Mesiti

http://202.125.166.74/ramgen/ccc/01100610am.rm

(Phil Pringle) ….So now we’re going to receive our tithes and offerings ….so I want you to get ready to give.. this morning…and if you need an envelope because you use a credit card for giving.. just raise your hand ..otherwise on a newsletter, there’s a tear off strip…you can fill out your details on that. We have an EFTPOS machine up the back…of if you’re on the internet you can give through the web page there.. up on the right hand side..you’ll find an area there for giving.

I’m going to ask Pat Mesiti just to come and share around the offering this morning. Amen. Give Pat a big hand would ya? (applause) In fact next Sunday morning, I’ve asked Pat to preach here, he’s going to preach about reaching the world. Amen. God bless ya.

(Pat Mesiti) Amen church. You love the Lord? Oh good …(inaudible) You love the Lord? (‘Yeah’)

Jesus said an interesting thing in the bible. I’ll have to give you a little bit…what prompted that thought.

Little while ago I was talking to someone ..and they said…they said, ‘Pat, I’m a Christian.’

‘And so, well, how do you define if you are a Christian?’

And they said ‘well, you know, I kinda go to church.’

And I said, ‘well that’s really cool.’ But, people ..don’t read the bible say really dumb things. And you would agree with that.

Jesus said this, that if you love me, do what I say.

Obedience is really the sign that we are lovers of Jesus. Can I get an ‘Amen’? How many of you are married? Raise your hands.

How many of you husbands have learned to obey your wife? (laughter) We Italians have got it figured out. we say ‘the man is the head, but the woman is the neck that turns him around’. (laughter)

In Malachi Chapter 3, come with me to this awesome passage of scripture. Pastor Phil is a modern day revivalist, would you agree with that?

I really believe that….can we give our pastor a hand, he’s a modern day revivalist. (applause)

And one of the keys to the outpouring of heaven ….we’ve had a lot about prayer ..and today we’re gonna hear about something else and next Sunday I want to really share about getting the salt out of a shaker and making a difference in our world..and can you please bring friends.

I want to see people saved.

But here in Malachi Chapter 3…it shows us this incredible insight into opening up the windows of Heaven.

Not just prayer and telling people and acts of mercy, but God right here says this…he says ‘will a man rob God?’

Now the first thing is ..how do you take away from God?

It isn’t that we go to God ..and take that…because in actual fact, God really enjoys it when you take something of Him into your world.

When you take grace from His throne ..into your world…God enjoys it… can I get an Amen? (‘Amen’)

But here’s the concept…if you look at the Hebrew scripture …it is a picture of a goblet with a lid on it. And the way we rob God is we put a restriction on what God loves to do. Which is what? Blessing.

And it says, ‘will a man restrict, will a man block God.’

Here you say, how have you robbed me? And God says ‘in tithes and offerings’.

And then He says this, ‘Bring all the tithes into the storehouse.’ Everybody say ‘all the tithes’ (‘all the tithes’)

Everybody say ‘all the tithes’ (‘all the tithes’)

What is a tithe? Let me explain. The tithe…is 10 per cent. Everybody say ’10 per cent’ (’10 per cent’).

10 per cent.

God says, ‘Bring me what’s mine …bring me that 10 per cent.’ If you’re in a business deal…and someone said to you, ‘you know what….I’m going to let you keep 90 per cent, just give me 10, how many of you think that would be a great business deal?

And God says ’10 per cent’.

Now some people might say, ‘yeah, that’s Old Testament that’s under law.’ Oh, no, no, no, no.

This is pre-law, this is under the Malchizadek priesthood, who is a type of Jesus.

We are bringing out tithes, the bible says, unto Jesus.

10 per cent. Now why 10 per cent?

You see, if God set an amount, it would not be fair, correct? It wouldn’t be fair if God said ‘bring a thousand dollars to the storehouse every week.’ It wouldn’t be fair.

But God is a God who is a just and righteous God.

He said, ‘bring a percentage’, so that the person who’s earning a thousand dollars a week or a hundred thousand dollars a week …I had a gentleman in Malaysia one day say to me this…he said ‘if I bring my tithe to the church every week’ …he said (inaudible) …he said ‘I’d have to be bringing ten thousand dollars a week into the tithe’.

And I said ‘would you like me to pray that you only have to give a hundred dollars a week’? (laughter)

It’s all relevant. Say ‘Amen or ouch’.

See, and here it is, it’s not my tithe, language is so important, it’s His tithe, and the tithe, literally is a sign that God is really Lord and master over all. That is the symbol of the tithe.

Three things it does to you, it brings you protection.

Second thing it does, it opens up the windows of Heaven.

Listen to what it says here. Look at this church.

‘If I will not open up for you the windows of Heaven and pour out for you such a blessing, there will not be room enough to receive it.’

You know as I was driving to church this morning, I always try and prepare my spirit for the offering message, just in case.

I always say honestly every Sunday when I’m in church …I always do ..because…I know Pastor Phil.

But you know I was just preparing my heart, and I said, ‘Lord, if I were to do the offering this morning, what could I say that would encourage people?

And here’s what I believe the Holy Spirit spoke to my spirit about.

“Tell my people, I don’t understand the concept of ‘just enough’.”

God doesn’t get that concept …because wherever God does a miracle…listen to me church, the loaves and the fishes, there’ll be 12 baskets left over…for everybody.

When he taught out from the widow’s miracle ..of the widow’s oil …there..they filled the jars ..and there was so much there…she could have kept pouring today if she was alive. What an amazing thing.

When God does it, He’s a God of more than enough, his name is El Shaddai, the God of plenty, not El Cheapo, the Lord, the Tightwad. (laughter)

How many of you thank God for that?

And I want us to understand that this morning.

Let’s bring all the tithes, not half of it, a quarter of it, all the tithes ..and God says ‘I’ll pour open Heaven’

‘I don’t understand the concept of just…..I wanna pour out abundance.’ But don’t restrict Him.

Father, we thank you for our ability to be able to give to you. I thank you for this House, I thank you for what you’re doing. I thank this House, your building, we’re working with you.

Lord I ask you to bless every tither, every obedient tither …as they bring your store out of every offering, in Jesus’ name.

If you need an envelope this morning, please raise your hand.

If you want to give by credit card, at the back of the room there is an EFTPOS machine there, if you’d like to give through EFTPOS machine.

If you’re writing out a cheque, please make it payable to Christian City Church.

God bless you church as you give.”

Length of offering sermon..7:05min

Phil Pringle & Pat Mesiti Conning C3 Church To Give Cash

If a leader or teacher is misleading a congregation to tithe, this should inform you that they are either:

1. A false teacher. Or

2. an unqualified teacher.

Pat Mesiti and Phil Pringle can fall under either category.

At the bottom of this article is an old transcript of Phil Pringle allowing Pat Mesiti to con people to give money to Pringle’s organisation. Pringle allowed Mesiti to  manipulate people to give money to Pringle. Pringle did not correct Mesiti’s content or conduct. He allowed Mesiti to mangle many scriptures and have him use greed and fear to convince people to give up their cash to Pringle. In the process, Pat Mesiti publicly misled the members of Christian City Church.

MESITI’s MISLEADS

Mislead 1: The Statement God Never Made

“… God said to Adam and Eve, he said ‘you can have any tree you want, except that one there, that’s mine.’”

God said that? We encourage you to read Genesis 2 and 3. This is blasphemy. Phil Pringle and Pat Mesiti had no problem lying about God. God said nothing about the tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil being His in Genesis. They made this up to convince people to give them their cash.

Mislead 2: Mesiti Witnesses Against His Own False Theology

Later, Mesiti says (emphasis ours):

“Little while ago I was speaking at a church, this was quite awhile ago actually ….(laughter)….we won’t go there…..anyway….”

He is alluding to Hillsong. The fact that he was speaking at Hillsong tells us this was before his fall, (hence why he does not talk about it). Mesiti then slips this (emphasis ours):

“And I get there and the worship’s going on …and then they receive the offering…and the Holy Spirit says to me…”I want you to take that 2 and a half thousand dollar cheque and put it in the offering”….and I said ‘Lord, this is all I’ve got’.

All Mesiti has got? In slipping this, he has undone all that he is trying to do: convince C3 Church members that they need to give money to God so “your barns will be full.” How can he teach that God wants people to give him cash so he can bless them financially back? He isn’t practicing what he is preaching. Why did he have no money? He continues…

“Within a month’s time …I was at a meeting..and a man came up to me and said….’this is not for the ministry….this is not for any of the ministries you’re involved with …this cheque is for you…and he gave me a cheque for $25,000 US….”

Is this simply band aid cash before he was publicly exposed visiting prostitutes? His heavily edited and faulty account only proves he is a false witness to his own false theology. In fact, when you read the entire script below, he exposes his own false theology.

Mislead 3: Teaching The Bible Says Something When It Doesn’t

Pat Mesiti later said:

“We’re the pearl of great price. God never argued….Jesus never debated the issue. He just did it. And we in turn are asked to value something. One of those things we’re asked to value…is the House of God.”

We need to understand that the Bible talks about the House of God being Christ and His Church (the church being the people). Not so with Pringle and Mesiti. They often define the ‘House of God’ being the building.

Not only does Mesiti force people not to question his teaching by forcing obedience on them, Mesiti and Pringle provide the illusion that God or the bible says “we’re asked to value… the House of God.”

Really?

You will not find this teaching in the bible that we are to value a physical building known as a ‘House of God’. This is another lie to get Christians to give money to Phil Pringle’s organisation.

THE FLATTERY

Mesiti flattered Pringle before the C3 congregation. Notice how Mesiti links the favour of God to Phil Pringle’s apparent material success. Is this how a Christian measures God’s grace?

“You know, Pastor Phil being number one on the podcast does not surprise me, because how many know the favour of God is on this man of God? Can you give me a good ‘amen’?”

Mesiti acknowledges how much Pringle’s teaching impacted him and his life, mangling Psalm 133 in the process. So much so, he seems to link Pringle as a Messianic figure.

“… After being under his teaching – under his ministry, means the favour of God is on us, because whatever falls on his beard, the oil (PP: “ooh!”) coming down from the beard of our Lord, did you like that? (PP “more oil, more beard”).”

The favour of God is on Pat Mesiti because he was under the teaching of Phil Pringle (and Pringle’s oily Messianic beard)? Pringle did not correct this bible garble.

THE GREED

Mesiti also mangled the scripture Proverbs 3:9. Mesiti said,

“I’m going to ask you to honour the Lord, value the Lord with your offering, and bring the Lord his firstfruits… your barns will be full.”

This is biblical incompetence on Mesiti’s part. Proverbs is written to Jews who were under the ordinances of God. If they obeyed the commandments of God, God would indeed materially bless them as a nation. If they didn’t, He would curse them. However, Mesiti’s use of this passage is inciting people to give money so they can get. This is the greed factor that prosperity preachers often use to motivate people to give money to them. Pringle did not correct this bible garble.

THE FEAR-MONGERING

The church is grafted into the promises of Israel revealed in Christ – but the Church is not Israel. The Law was designed to point out to Israel the fact that none can fulfill it’s requirements. Only one man perfectly honoured the Lord and His Laws and that was Jesus. What Jesus accomplished was far greater than material success. Jesus did not promise believers material blessings but something greater: eternal life.

Because Christ freely gave Himself, so we can freely receive His salvation, we are called to freely give NOT OUT OF COMPULSION. Scripture clearly calls us to give cheerfully through what He has done on our behalf. (2 Corinthians 9:7.)

Instead of allowing the gospel being the motivating factor, Mesiti binds and curses the congregation by placing them under the death and condemnation of the Law, offering no freedom in Christ. By reading a portion of Malachi 3 telling Christians to tithe, the association is connected to the fact that if one does not tithe, the believer is cursed. This is not Christianity and is a false theology that destroys people. Pringle did not correct this bible mis-application.

THE DECEITFULNESS OF PAT MESITI AND PHIL PRINGLE

In closing, Pringle endorses the teaching and mentions this in his prayer to his ‘god’,

“People who have got debts they can’t manage…are gonna find ways out of it. But Lord the foundation of your prosperity in our life…is the tithe. So father as we bring this sacred finance to you …we thank you Lord that it unleashes power and principles into our world that are unstoppable.”

Sacred finance? This is Pringle’s god and not Christ. What Pringle calls “sacred finance”, Jesus opposes saying, “The deceitfulness of riches choke the Word” (Matt 13:22). According to Pringle, these “sacred finances… unleashes power and principles into our world that are unstoppable”. Really? And the bible says that where?

According to Pringle the monetary tithe is “the foundation of your prosperity in our life”. To pray such a thing to a God is disgraceful. At least Pringle is honest that Jesus is not his foundation.

In the end, did Pat Mesiti message on money choke the Word? Yes it did. Did Pringle endorse Mesiti’s unbiblical teachings that choked God’s Word? Yes he did. With this in mind, it is best to know not to trust Pat Mesiti or Phil Pringle when there is a bible in front of them. They are not qualified to preach.

(Phil Pringle) “We are going to receive our tithe and offering right now, as everybody could get ready to give.

Pat Mesiti is going to come and encourage us with our giving this morning. Thank you very much Pat. God bless you.

(Pat Mesiti) Morning church. (Good morning) Are you excited? (yeah)

You know, Pastor Phil being number one on the podcast does not surprise me, because how many know the favour of God is on this man of God? Can you give me a good ‘amen’?

And you know, after being under his teaching – under his ministry, means the favour of God is on us, because whatever falls on his beard, the oil (PP: “ooh!”) coming down from the beard of our Lord, did you like that? (PP “more oil, more beard”).

I was thinking of growing my moustache, but I’d look too much like my mum. (PP:laughter) and my mum wouldn’t really approve.

Turn to the Word now, now that I’ve got your attention.

Church, if you need an offering envelope, please raise your hand.

If you’re giving by credit card – before you fill anything out, can you just let me share for 2 or 3 minutes from the Word of God, because we can just go through the same old motions, you know, of oh, this is my tithe; I’ll just write it out…

And you know, if you want something (inaudible) God before, you’ve got to do something you haven’t done before.

And….that’s how I’ve worked.

And I want to read a passage of scripture from Proverbs Chapter 3:9….it says this…

Honour the Lord….can you all say that with me ‘honour the Lord’ (honour the Lord) with your possessions (with your possessions) ..and the firstfruits (and the firstfruits) of all your increase (of all your increase) …..don’t repeat everything or we’ll be here all day.

But honour the Lord, that literally can be translated there to mean this… value the Lord with your possessions. (PP:’wow’).

Now that’s not talking about the tithe; we get to that in the next portion.

But value the Lord, do you value, do I value the Lord?

You see, I’ve discovered in life that one of the principles of life is this. You can tell how much you value something by the price you’re willing to pay. (PP: ‘that’s the truth’)

So to the guy who says to the girl, ‘honey, I’ll climb the highest mountain, swim the deepest ocean, cross raging rivers, but if it’s raining on Sunday can you get your own way to the restaurant.’

Doesn’t really value.

And then I’ve discovered this about value, that in the absense of value, you’ll always argue price.

When you value something you don’t argue over price, you see, the Lord never argued the price of what it would cost to redeem our soul.

And we are here as recipients of God’s value towards us.

We’re the pearl of great price. God never argued….Jesus never debated the issue. He just did it.

And we in turn are asked to value something.

One of those things we’re asked to value…is the House of God.

Can I get an ‘amen’?

And God says in His Word; He says ‘bring the whole tithe’.

Notice it doesn’t say ‘give the tithe’. It says ‘bring it’.

Because, this may be a shock, but titheing isn’t giving; you can’t give back to God, what’s already His.

You can only take it from him.

And you see, there are some things that God has reserved for Himself, which brings us to the second portion, that says…’and with the firstfruits, ‘everybody say ‘firstfruits’ (firstfruits) …that’s the first portion…it goes way back, way back, way back into Genesis.

This is not law, this is Genesis. This is pre-law, where we get the covenant of marriage from.

And God says ‘honour me…bring to me…the firstfruits…the first portion…the tithe.’

I’ve often wondered, when I’ve read the book of Genesis; when God said to Adam and Eve, he said ‘you can have any tree you want, except that one there, that’s mine.’

I wonder if there was ten trees in the garden.

Folks this morning…I’m going to ask you to honour the Lord, value the Lord with your offering, and bring the Lord his firstfruits, and watch this, here’s what he says……everybody say ’so’ (so) …so your barns will be full.

A little while ago……..how many of you liked that bit in the scriptures?

You see God never asks you to give something where he doesn’t fall back. God is El Sheddai, the God of plenty, not El Cheapo the Lord, the tightwad…

Amen?

Little while ago I was speaking at a church, this was quite awhile ago actually ….(laughter)….we won’t go there…..anyway….

But I remember I was speaking at a church and I received a cheque from a corporate function I spoke at …and the Lord said to me…”I want you to put that in the offering tonight”.

And I went….’but I’ve already tithed and I’ve already given to the building fund ..and I need this’.

And God says ..”well, I need it too”.

And I’m arguing with God and then I got to church late, hoping that the offering would be over with….(laughter).

Don’t laugh at me…some of you do that…

And I get there and the worship’s going on …and then they receive the offering…and the Holy Spirit says to me…”I want you to take that 2 and a half thousand dollar cheque and put it in the offering”….and I said ‘Lord, this is all I’ve got’.

And God said….”well, that’s all you’re gonna have”

He said…”now you have an option……you can keep what’s in your hand..and I’ll keep what’s in mine….or you can let go of what’s in your hand..and I’ll let go of what’s in mine.”

(PP:’powerful’)

Within a month’s time …I was at a meeting..and a man came up to me and said….’this is not for the ministry….this is not for any of the ministries you’re involved with …this cheque is for you…and he gave me a cheque for $25,000 US….

So I got 100 fold ….and the exchange rate…..(PP:’amen) (applause)

Come on church…let’s receive our tithes. I’m gonna hand over to Pastor Phil ..to pray over the offering.

Let’s be generous this morning. Let’s bring our tithe..and let’s bring our first fruits to the Lord. Pastor Phil?

(Phil Pringle) Wonderful, thank you sir, God bless you. Amen. Folks let me pray for you…while you bring your tithes and your offering to the Lord.

Father, we thank you right now as we stand here. People who are trying to buy their homes in Sydney, feeling that the prices are high ….are going to find very real opportunities…for them to break through into a whole new era of living.

People who have got debts they can’t manage…are gonna find ways out of it.

People who are having arguments in their houses over money issues….

Father…you’ll bring solutions.

People will find their way to manage their finances better.

But Lord the foundation of your prosperity in our life…is the tithe.

The opening of windows over our lives…the opening of opportunities and blessing comes from what we’re doing right now.

So father as we bring this sacred finance to you … we thank you Lord that it unleashes power and principles into our world that are unstoppable.

So thank you for the blessing Father on every gift given right now in Jesus’ name..and everybody said ‘amen’.

God bless as you give folks.

Go ahead ushers, thank you.

If you’re on the internet ..watching today …you can go to the upper right hand corner of your web page and you’ll find a giving area.

And those of you who use the EFTPOS machine…you’re welcome to do so at the end of the service.

If you needed an envelope for your giving…because you didn’t have a newsletter….there’s a tear-off section on that you can get…but if you need an envelope…please make sure you get a hold of one….to fill out the details of your credit card if you’re using a credit card for giving.

Thank you.”

Length of offering talk – 7:50 min.
