Request to the COC

My lawyers have written to the Commissioner of Charities (“COC”) on 12 July 2013, requesting that the COC defer the consideration of removal proceedings against me till after the conclusion of the on-going criminal trial.

Several of the issues that the COC has raised are also dealt with in the criminal trial, and it makes sense for these issues to be addressed after the conclusion of the criminal trial. In the meantime, I have agreed not to perform any management or executive roles in CHC, which I have not been performing since 2010 in any event.

I will continue to serve CHC in a pastoral role, as I have been doing all along. I am presently waiting for the COC’s response to my request.
