[UPDATE 27/10/2015: Transcript of video added]

In the below article written by Phil Pringle and in his YouTube video, Phil Pringle once again claims Kong Hee’s innocence to his church, once again insinuating that the Singaporean courts are being used by the devil.

Worse still in the video, Phil Pringle is deliberately throwing pictures out to portray Kong Hee as Christ and the Singaporean authorities as the corrupt court of the Sanhedrin, who relied on blood money and false accusation to murder Jesus. This is no different to Kong Hee’s message at Presence Conference 2012 to win blind support for his case in front of hundreds and thousands of Christians around the world.

Why is it acceptable to portray the Singaporean government as slanderous murderous men?

Furthermore, Pringle in his video also portrays Kong Hee as the Apostle Peter before governing authorities. But there is a huge difference between the Apostles and Kong Hee. They were persecuted for preaching the gospel and falsely accused because of their message.

However, Kong Hee is not in court because the government wants him to stop preaching the gospel. He is in court for mishandling church funds of up to $46,000,000 to finance his wife’s musical career. That’s a far cry from the “crimes” of the Apostles.

Phil Pringle writes,

PHIL PRINGLE COMMENT ON KONG HEE COURT CASE

This Wednesday, the CHC court case will end, and a verdict will be read over Kong Hee. Our job as fellow believers is to stand in faith with our brother.

On Wednesday 21st October, Pastor Kong Hee’s court case in Singapore will conclude and a verdict will be read. Below is video footage containing my comments on the matter. This video was recorded during our 6 p.m. service at C3 Church Oxford Falls.

When you’re building the Church, you’re never going to be found without a fight. Our job as fellow believers is to stand with each other when we are facing trouble. At the end of the day, it’s easy to stand for Jesus, but it’s more challenging to stand for one of his servants when they are facing difficulty. In this coming week, our good friend Pastor Kong Hee (Senior Pastor of City Harvest Church, Singapore) is going to be standing in a courtroom and a verdict will be passed on him after a 5 year long trial – the longest trial in Singapore’s history. I know Pastor Kong Hee to be an honest, true and faithful minister of Christ. He has also been extraordinarily effective in raising up one of the truly great churches (CHC) in the world, bringing hundreds of thousands of people to Christ. Jesus has told us this kind of advancement would not go uncontested. We must be prepared to be immovable, strong and faithful to Christ through all the challenges we face in building His Church. Ultimately, it is the Courts job to arrive at a verdict. But we are praying for victory. There is a sentiment against believers, but the devil has always got it wrong. He thinks if he attacks the church it’s going to die, he even tried it with Jesus, but He just came up out of the ground again. I believe we have a victorious Christ ruling over His house, His Church and His Kingdom.

You can find a reliable summary of the trial available here: http://www.citynews.sg/2015/09/city-harvest-church-trial-15-sep-2015-video/

See you in church!

TRANSCRIPT

“I want to take a second, for us all just to take a minute to pray for Pastor Kong Hee.

This Wednesday he is going to be standing in a court room in Singapore after five years of trial, the longest running trial in Singapore history. And so I’m going to go up there and stand with him in the court room and ahh you know it’s not my job to judge, rights and wrongs but I do believe it is our job to stand with people who are in struggling situations.

He is one of the most pure hearted, holy men of God I know. One of the most devoted, dedicated, like rugged soldiers for Christ that I’ve ever met. There are some people that are like ‘I’m not so sure I actually want to try to stand but Kong Hee he’s impeccable in integrity in these areas and it’s just that he’s been caught up in it.

This has become a very complicated processes, the prosecution has not been able to provide one piece of evidence of him wrongfully gaining anything or the congregation wrongfully loosing anything, in terms of finances.

But as I say it’s not our part to reach that judgment, that’s in the court’s hands. And do you know Paul and Peter, a lot of these guys found themselves in very difficult situations with the Government authorities and put in predicaments that were scary for the Christians cause they were associated with them and ahh when Jesus got convicted as a criminal and was sent to the cross to die, it was pretty difficult for the disciples to say, ‘we know him, he’s a friend’ they scattered and I don’t want to be that, I want to say I’m standing, I don’t understand everything all the time but I think when we see a good brother, a faithful brother in trouble we should stand with them, in Jesus name.

So let’s pray for one minute here for him right now, Lord we pray for your hand to be upon Pastor Kong and the anointing of the Holy Spirit to be in his life, let the power of Christ rest on him, in Jesus name. Let a miracle come to pass, a miracle of deliverance and victory by the mighty power of the Holy Spirit, in Jesus name, let your presence fall now on our brother and those other defendants, let them all know the power of God on their life. In Jesus mighty name we believe God, Your presence, Your power, Your Holy Spirit falling in Jesus mighty name, our God we praise You.”

Ps Kong Hee and Ps Phil Pringle

“… nor is anything secret that will not be known and come to light.” – Jesus, Luke 8:17

INFORMATION PRINGLE DOES NOT WANT LEAKED TO THE MEDIA…

On the 9th of June in a Sunday morning service last year, Phil Pringle blacked out his stage cameras to report on issues regarding the Kong Hee scandal. C3 members leaked information to C3 Church Watch as to what Pringle said in the media black out.

What Is Phil Pringle Trying To Hide? *Update 3* (03-07-2013)

Last year we had Phil Pringle request his church attend a private Tuesday night meeting after the typical C3 prayer meeting. He made the below announcement on Sunday morning, the 3rd of November, 2013.

Is Pringle Distancing Himself From Kong Hee & Sun Ho?

How did we come across this Tuesday night meeting? C3CW only found about this meeting when their readership spiked the week after the meeting happened. So they decided to tune into the previous week’s online sermon to see what Phil Pringle might have said about them. Whatever was said at that Tuesday night meeting caused C3 leaders and members to come visit the C3CW website. As a result of this meeting, people have since talked to C3 Church Watch as to what was said by Phil Pringle.

They informed C3CW that Pringle mentioned their website by name and they disclosed other information as to what was said at that meeting. C3CW were also informed by C3 people as to what was said in that meeting about Kong Hee. They have started to question how involved Pringle was with Kong Hee’s issues. According to some of these sources, Pringle appeared to be distancing himself from the conduct of Kong Hee’s approach to the building fund. C3CW also received a loose transcript from what was said at that meeting from someone else who attended. That C3 member attempted to recount what Pringle said about their correspondence with Kong Hee:

PP: Don’t do anything illegal.

KH: That’s alright. We can do that in Singapore.

PP: You couldn’t do [any of?] that in Sydney. You couldn’t take money out of the building fund.

After analysing the various discussions, C3CW were able to confirm that these numerous C3 members statements were saying very similar things.

OUR CONCERNS

And now I am expressing my concerns as a C3 member about C3 Leaders and what was said in that Tuesday night meeting.

There is no transparency at C3.

Ask yourself this question: whose names are C3 properties registered in? Is it in Phil Pringle’s name or some special entity which Phil Pringle and his closest associates totally control? After all it’s the church members who have financed the properties with their giving over many years. As yet C3 members have no idea how the ownership of the assets of the church are structured. Phil Pringle late last year after a Tuesday night Prayer meeting  at the Connect Leaders meeting (held immediately after the Prayer Meeting), said in that meeting that he would be releasing the Church Financial accounts to members in early 2014. Absolutely nothing has been released to date. I think he is hoping all those present have forgotten the statement he made about Church accounts. Again just spin and misleading statements from Phil Pringle. The C3 property and financial structure issue needs to be investigated and may even be worth approaching some journos to fully investigate these matters.

Phil Pringle again at that Connect Group Leaders meeting in my opinion, basically misled church leaders about the CHC/Kong Hee legal case.

WHAT ELSE WAS SAID ON THAT TUESDAY NIGHT MEETING?

At  that Tuesday night meeting on the 5th of November, Phil Pringle talked about his involvement with Kong Hee in Singapore.

From memory Phil Pringle said that he told Kong Hee that C3 would not be allowed to do what CHC did regarding the crossover project from the  C3 building fund. I think he also talked about the Singapore governments persecution against Kong Hee.

I believe Phil Pringle was making a connection to the C3 building fund. From memory Phil Pringle said to Kong Hee that in Australia, C3 could not use their Building fund to do something like the crossover project that Kong Hee was doing. From memory, I think Pringle said that Kong Hee was asking him for advice on what Kong Hee was planning to do regarding crossover. I think Pringle then said that Kong Hee then decided to move forward with the Crossover project, even though Pringle said they couldn’t do anything like that in Australia. I am pretty sure it was not recorded as Phil Pringle said all this after a Tuesday night prayer meeting (which carried over then into a connect group leaders meeting where he said these things).

WHAT ELSE IS GOING ON IN C3 LEADERSHIP?

I know that when some C3 pastors are asked about Kong Hee or Yonggi Cho, they usually plead ignorance, or they say they don’t know much about what is going on. However I think they have been instructed to plead ignorance or spin the official C3 church line when confronted by questions from C3 members. I know this has happened to church members. Furthermore, Phil Pringle has told Church members not to look at C3 Churchwatch on the net.

I  am sure some C3 Church Pastors do believe in Transparency, and Governance.  Pastors and numerous members are fully aware of the global press articles on the Yonggi Cho Korean situation and the CHC Singapore court case. News globally these days over the internet is available instantaneously.  I believe there is some underground disapproval of what is happening in the Singapore and Korean situations within the C3 Church community.

CONCLUSION

What continually gets to me is the lack of transparency and governance of Phil Pringle. My pastor’s mentor Yonggi Cho has been convicted for mishandling church funds. My pastor’s underling, Kong Hee, copied my pastor’s Building Fund program and is now in trouble over how he has handled building fund money. And now Phil Pringle is saying that Kong Hee’s Building fund is done in a different way to his own? Are we to believe him at face value?

It was Phil Pringle that said,

“Kong Hee in Singapore picked up [my] idea and he calls his ‘Rise and Build’ and just takes the whole thing, copies it exactly and raises sixty million US for- and he paid it debt free for his building there in- in Singapore”. [Source]

Don’t forget this comment from Kong Hee:

“Ah- I thought I’m gonna show you a video. This is our ‘Rise and Build’ video and- Many people come to City Harvest Church and they look at our church. Look at our pulpit. Our Rise and Build. And they say, “Hey! Why is it that in Australia they kinda copy after you?”Well actually we came here and copied everything from Christian City Church. So we have our own Rise and Build and I just thought I show you this latest installment where we anounced to our church, SunTec City Convention Center.” – Kong hee, C3 Presence Conference, Session 4, Sydney, 2010. [Source]

I would like to point out some interesting articles that establish that the C3 financial structures within it’s movement aren’t that ethical (I will publish this article soon). Still Phil Pringle urges us to trust him? He needs to prove he can be transparent first.

Phil Pringle the “scam” artist?

You can see Phil Pringle produce a painting in his Presence Conference 2014 promo:

Here is Jake Betlam encouraging bidders to buy (in faith) Phil Pringle’s “anointed” artwork :

Not only is Phil Pringle an artist, he likes to parade himself as a prophet to his church and to Christians in Singapore’s City Harvest Church,

“Prophet for Profit” Phil Pringle Enticing the CHC “Foolish Virgins”?

Apparently it’s important that you see Phil Pringle’s art as “anointed” if you buy it. Pringle had his henchmen say this about his art:

You Too Can BUY Phil Pringle’s ‘Godly’ Anointing!

This was the result of the auction. Who would have seen that coming?

So whoever the Singaporean person was, whoever bought the “anointed” painting from “Prophet” Phil Pringle in “faith”, well done!

You indeed bought Kong Hee his victory. Kong Hee is indeed innocent and the Singaporean government are those evil people that tried to bring him down. Well done for thwarting Satan’s plans by your obedience to buying Phil Pringle’s “anointed’ painting! What an amazing testimony! To God be the glory! The innocent Kong Hee has walked free.

…

Pfff! Who are we kidding?

Can this Singaporean get a refund for being scammed into buying “trash-heap” artwork? Clearly, Pringle and Betlam’s cheap gimmick gained them a $50,000 reputation, offering tainted money to needy people in the Sydney community. How well do Phil Pringle and Jake Betlam sleep at night?

Phil Pringle’s Kong Job At Presence 2014 (Part 1)

Phil Pringle’s act of sedition against the Singaporean Government

When people gave us their Presence Conference resources from previous years, we discovered that C3 only allowed the buyers to listen to the sessions of the conference. They cut out significant segments in between. These segments often included their deplorable and unbiblical offering messages and other dirty jobs. This is why we have started recording their live stream feed on their Presence Conference website. These events are highly orchestrated to con people of their hard-earned cash to suit the lifestyles of C3 and travelling ministers.

This year we have once again caught Phil Pringle acting deliberately deceitful at this year’s Presence Conference. To some, this comment may seem harsh. However, Kong Hee and Phil Pringle must have known the true nature of the evidence that was to go before the judge for assessment. This was the judge’s response.

Judge not lest Hee be judged…

We fail to see how Phil Pringle, Kong Hee and his lawyers could not more accurately anticipate the outcome, especially considering Pringle stated that his lawyers, “have to always consider the hypothetical negative and defend against that”. And why did he say this? So he can perpetuate the myth to his audiences that Kong Hee is an innocent victim being persecuted falsely by the Singaporean government.

This is why Pringle claims “these lawyers are feeling so somewhat positive that they have submitted a thing that says, let’s drop all the charges Judge, there’s no case against these people even though it’s been going on for three and a half years.

Furthermore, in the below video you will see Phil Pringle:

1. Encouraging conference members to “fill this auditorium with believers who are supporting” Kong Hee “in a really powerful way” in the next evening’s session. By “supporting”, Pringle means through financial support. Essentially this particular stunt was a plug to get more people to get more Christians from other churches so Phil Pringle could lie about Kong Hee’s circumstances and con them to give money for Kong Hee’s case.

2. Deliberately lied about the state of affairs in Singapore by suppressing the truth of the events. In the below audio Pringle accidentally blunders the facts about CHC in how, “Many, many people have le-uh-have-” …left the church? This means he has lied on his websites, advertising and in previous conferences over the sad state of affairs in CHC to bolster Kong Hee’s credibility as a successful and influential pastor.

Kong Hee & Phil Pringle: It Is Not About The Numbers… Right?

3. Pringle intentionally malign the Singaporean government saying, “They’re trying to, trying to bring this brother to you know an end and um- bring this church to an end but it’s not working”. This is not true at all. This is sedition. This is a baseless accusation.

The Singaporean Government officially stated,

“[…] that the charges filed by CAD are against 5 individuals from the City Harvest Church (CHC) regarding the use of Church funds. They are not filed against CHC itself.  The CHC is free to continue its church services and activities.

[…] As the matter is now before the courts, we should let the law take its course and avoid speculation or making pre-judgements that may unnecessarily stir up emotions.” [Source]

The Singaporean government could not be more clear. However, Phil Pringle is disregarding and disrespecting the Singaporean authorities and their judicial processes by definitely stirring “up emotions” and maligning the government. As a “pastor” and according to his own constitution, Phil Pringle should refrain from distorting the facts of Kong Hee’s case to Christians everywhere and should not give Kong Hee the platform to do likewise.

4. Disgracefully and deliberately exploit people watching online and attending his conference in his final prayer prior to the next speaker. In this prayer he redefines what a Christian is by saying, “we want to be the real kind of Christians who don’t judge but who stand up showing grace, mercy and strength to those in need“. This statement, intended to guilt people into giving, is also another subtle attack on the body of Christ who are called to discern, judge and remove the immoral or wicked member from among them IF they are unrepentant. (Jude, 1 Corinthians 5). Let’s be clear that “in need” means “support” for Kong Hee’s financial need.

Furthermore in his prayer, Phil Pringle says, “we pray for the power of God to fill them and we pray that Lord we would not shirk away from standing with those who are in trouble, who are struggling”. In other words, don’t shirk away from your duty to bring people tomorrow night to support Kong Hee and make sure you give generously to financially support his lawyers. So essentially this prayer has told people that they cannot judge, they must attend Kong’s session tomorrow night, not question Pringle and Kong’s motives and to give whatever they can to financially support Kong Hee’s defense.

It is clear that Kong Hee and Phil Pringle have not been telling the truth to their audiences at Presence Conference.

VIDEO

Here is the video:

TRANSCRIPT

Here is the transcript:

In a short while we’re about to hear from our guest speaker tonight. And- but before we do that I’m just going to just ask our speaker for tomorrow night to come up here and uh- I want to- uh- introduce you to him. You may not have met him before. His name is Pastor Kong Hee from Singapore. [Crowds applause as Kong Hee walks on to stage, smiling and waving.]

Amen!

Pastor Kong and I are friends and we go back a long way and uh- he has recently in the last three and a half years faced one of the most serious- uh- trials and tribulations that I’ve known of any minister to travel through and I know he’ll be referring to that somewhat tomorrow night. But I wanted us to pray for him tonight. I want to give him as much time as possible tomorrow evening. He flies back to Singapore on Friday. He has a service on Friday night, but-uh-just to let you know that even though this trial has been going on for [. . .] three and a half years [Kong: Four years]. Four years now. A VERY long trial. And-uh-it’s an amazing thing the church is still firing!

Many, many people have le-uh-have-

YEAH! I mean it’s firing. Thousands and thousands of people. And uh-persecution-uh-and-and-uh-attack-and opposition and difficulties and trials don’t destroy the church ‘cause the church is made of tougher stuff than the Devil understands. It’s made of the Life of Jesus- and this last easter 3000 people came to Christ in their services [Crowds applause].

Right now the- recently the- maybe you could explain what’s happened with the trial.

Kong Hee: Um- about two weeks ago our lawyers have-uh-applied with the courts for a dismissal of the charges. So it’s what is called a “submit a no case to answer-um-application”. So we will find out in two weeks if the court, the judge will decide to continue with the case to call the defense to take the stand or to just end it here. And so it’s been going for a long time and we just pray that it will end as soon as possible. We want to get back our lives. [Applause’

Amen?

Pastor, I just got to say-um- you know when you go through something like this you become very open. Your heart become very open. I just want to thank you for Presence, for going out on a limp inviting me for the past few years. Ever since the case started, you never shirk away from our friendship. You know I have been here today.

It’s my second night of the conference but frankly every session I just wept before the Lord. You know I um- I was so touched by Pastor Chris, and um “the winter is over” and springtime is gonna come. Um, touched by the praise and worship.

Even tonight when Jurgen talk about God- I just got touched and just wanted to thank you so much for your friendship. Thank you for Presence. Thank you for all that you are doing for City Harvest Church and [turns to audience] thank you for your prayers and all your support the last four years. It’s been tough but together we’re gonna make it.

Phil Pringle: Amen.

You have to- you have to understand that lawyers are not known to be positive people. God bless all the lawyers here but they have to always consider the hypothetical negative and defend against that and these lawyers are feeling so somewhat positive that they have submitted a thing that says, let’s drop all the charges judge, there’s no case against these people even though it’s been going on for three and a half years. They’re trying to, trying to bring this brother to you know an end and um- bring this church to an end but it’s not working.

And I want us to believe God and tomorrow night when he’s sharing I would love to think that we fill this auditorium with believers who are supporting one of the great churches of this century that is reaching out all over the world and making a difference and we’re standing with him in a really powerful way.

Can you all stand? And we’re gonna pray tonight for Pastor Kong Hee and his wife Sun in the name of Jesus.

Heavenly Father let the blessing and the power of the Holy Spirit fall upon Pastor Kong Hee, his wife Sun, his son, their family, their team and that entire church, we pray for the power of God to fill them and we pray that Lord we would not shirk away from standing with those who are in trouble, who are struggling.

Dear Lord today we want to be the real kind of Christians who don’t judge but who stand up showing grace, mercy and strength to those in need,

In Jesus name, bless the mighty CHC church and all their people and all their churches around the world. Put your mantle on this man and bring deliverance in Jesus’ name. By the power of God we pray for the judge, we pray for the courts, that Lord you’d speak into their hearts and guide their feet ah- right, their decision, for complete deliverance in Jesus’ mighty name and everybody said – amen! God bless you.

There will be a mighty, mighty meeting tomorrow night, amen.

Souce: Phil Pringle and Kong Hee, Presence Conference 2014, Day 1.

Lakewood’s Israel Houghton stands with Kong Hee and his geisha?

The bible symbolised sexual immorality, delusion, wickedness, blasphemy, abomination, impurity and hatred of Christ and his church through the image of a prostitute:

Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the judgment of the great prostitute who is seated on many waters, with whom the kings of the earth have committed sexual immorality, and with the wine of whose sexual immorality the dwellers on earth have become drunk.” And he carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness, and I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was full of blasphemous names, and it had seven heads and ten horns. The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and jewels and pearls, holding in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the impurities of her sexual immorality. And on her forehead was written a name of mystery: “Babylon the great, mother of prostitutes and of earth’s abominations.” And I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints, the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. When I saw her, I marveled greatly. Revelations 17:1-6

Today we have the apostate church marvelling at the holiness and righteousness of Kong Hee and his wife Sun Ho who have financially bled Christians dry through dishonest means to support their lucrative ministries.

In her music video clip below, Sun Ho is playing a prostitute in her song ‘China Wine’.

Sun Ho said about her China Wine album:

“I’m really excited about this album, because I feel like it really represents me even though it’s in English.”

“I want to work with the choreographer to come up with “China Wine” dance steps and stuff.”

“And I was dancing during “China Wine” in the studio, and he started dancing too. I’m really looking forward to how it will actually affect the audience[…]” [Source]

Kong Hee even defended his wife’s role as a prostitute in the Sun’s China Wine video clip. Not only does he defend her, Kong flaunted her his ‘China Wine’.

China Boy & China Wine

Still the men standing with Kong Hee and the six accused are not addressing the allegations of Kong Hee who is accused of mishandling church funds of up to US$20 million. Furthermore, these ‘pastors’ are not informing their congregations that the six accused also used another US$20 million to cover up the original US$20 million spent to finance Sun Ho’s music career.

These ‘pastors’ who are standing with Kong Hee include:

Brian Houston of the Hillsong Church Movement

Phil Pringle of the C3 Church movement

Convicted criminal David Yonggi CHo of Yoido Full Gospel Church

Jeffrey Rachmat from Jakarta Praise Community Church (Jakarta, Indonesia)

Mark Conner from City Life Church (Melbourne, Australia)

Paul Scanlon from LIFE Church (Bradford, UK)

Casey Treat from Christian Faith Center (Seattle, USA)

John Bevere from Messenger International (USA)

Ed Young Jr, of C3 Church (US)

Margaret Court of Victory Life Centre

At this year’s Presence Conference, Kong Hee did not preach about God. Instead Kong preached about his life and all his accomplishments. Not once did he inform anyone present the details of the investigations and the allegations made agasint him. After preaching a selfie, Phil Pringle deliberately went out of his way to conceal the facts of the investigations and Kong Hee’s court proceedings and encouraged people to give money for Kong’s lawyers.

Not only did they mislead the tens of thousands tuning in, it appears they also deceived Israel Houghton.

Is Lakewood now standing with Kong Hee in his trial?

The Grammy Award-winning Christian singer Israel Houghton has been the worship leader at Osteen’s Lakewood Church for the past thirteen years.

Recently, Houghton stood up at Phil Pringle’s C3 Presence conference and claimed that “they” were standing with Kong Hee and CHC as they face the trial.

“I know we’re not supposed to have favourites but those three people up there with their lights shining, they’re my favourite people right now. If you’ve got something that lights up just pull it out, c’mon. Let’s just do this. Lighting up the kingdom that cannot be shaken. We’re standing with Pastor Kong tonight and we’re standing with Singapore. We’re standing for City Harvest. We’re standing with everybody who’s fighting life through right now. And this is going to be a reminder that God is fighting for us. And He is pushing back the darkness. And He is lighting up the kingdom that cannot be shaken.”

Really Houghton? Would you light up the kingdom of God with Kong Hee’s wife at your next musical event?

We hope that Lakewood will investigate the serious nature of the CHC scandal and consider where they stand with Kong Hee and CHC. Do they know the charges that Kong Hee is facing? Is this the type of “Christianity” they wish to have associated with their name? Does Israel and Lakewood really want to stand with Kong Hee and CHC?

Does Lakewood want to lie in the same harlot-stained bed of CHC?Lakewood C3 Phil Pringle Sun Ho Israel Houghton

Is Kong Hee gaining financial support for his legal defense through honest means?

HOW IS KONG HEE GAINING FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR HIS LEGAL DEFENSE?

Through the audio we have collected, Pringle has clearly demonstrated how Kong Hee has worked around new Singaporean legislation to solicit financial support for his lawyers and travelling expenses. Please note that the audios, videos or transcripts below may be copied and freely distributed.

Kong Hee Trial

PRINGLE MISLEADING THE GENERAL PUBLIC OVER KONG HEE

Since the investigations started back in 2010, it appears Phil Pringle has neglected to inform his church why Kong Hee is under investigation and why Kong Hee is currently in the courts. We are aware that some C3 church leaders do not know why Kong is being investigated, or why he is in court. We have found that if you ask C3 leaders or members what they know about Kong Hee’s case, they will often say that Phil Pringle is defending Kong Hee. However, they often also insist that they know nothing about Kong Hee’s situation, and that they do not feel the need to investigate the ‘pastor’ their leader is defending.

We have recordings of Phil Pringle ostensibly suppressing the serious nature of this scandal to his congregation in his church meetings. In one particular update, Pringle associated  the persecutions of Kong Hee to the persecutions of the Apostle Paul. However, the issues could not be more opposite.

It appears to be convenient for Pringle that his church and his leaders do not know what actually transpired in relation to Kong Hee and the City Harvest Church scandal. Why does it seem so necessary for Pringle to try and suppress the details of the case to the thousands of Christians around the world who attend or tune in online to his Conferences?

In 2013, Phil Pringle asked uninformed Christians attending his Global C3 Presence Conference to give sacrificially to financially support Kong Hee’s legal case. Not once was it explained to those who attended why Kong Hee was under investigation.

Here is what Phil Pringle said:

“I would like you just to take a card, an envelope if you’ve got one nearby. And if you’d like to participate in this, I’d like you to consider doing that. Whatever you can do it would be helpful, I know, to them. This will all go completely to Pastor Kong to help with his- costs. He has to pay this week $680,000 I think it is, for his legal fees. He’s covering his whole team’s fees. They have to mount a vigorous defense over three years. Those numbers weigh heavily on- on a person and they have prohibited him from asking his own congregation for any help.

He cannot use any of his own church funds. They’ve sold their – they sold the unit they were in. Others have moved to help them in other countries and I would like to think that we can be friends to these people in one of their darkest hours.” – Phil Pringle, http://www.youtube.com/watch? &v=2g-BB9BF7xk , Presence Conference 2013.

This is not the first time Pringle has failed to inform thousands of Christians about the details of ongoing investigations of Kong Hee and his associates from City Harvest Church. At the Presence Conference 2011, Phil Pringle prophesied over Kong Hee and then encouraged all the churches gathered to financially support Kong Hee. While encouraging people to give, take note of what Pringle says:

“Then, I think it was even more for him. I can’t remember the figures. But I know that for- they had to raise seven million dollars for members of staff and others to travel. That’s just that area. If you’ve ever been to Singapore, you know how expensive this place is. To fight the case he has had to employ a legal firm. And I know what the bills are. They are nearly a million dollars each time they come. Between half a million and a million dollars each time those bills come. His church is not allowed to pay one cent of his personal cost that he is incurring in this battle. He has to find it himself.

He’s sold his house. He has scratched together everything he can. One of the things that I’m doing is going there. I’ve made a commitment to be there once every two weeks. Normally it ends up being once every three weeks because of a variety of commitments that I’ve already got and doing things. But when I’m gone, he’s able to travel. And when I’m there, he’s able to travel and preach and find support amongst Asia and other churches.

Uh- I know that he was finding it hard to put some money together to get a cup of Starbucks at one stage. And uh- it’s a challenge. There’s been new legislation passed on the use of commercial spaces in Singapore since this case has come. So the religio- the restriction on his church is severe, ah, in that area [inaudible] after their purchase, go into co-ownership with ah, SunTec. And we’re in there. I will be speaking there in a couple days time. I will be on Friday to speak there happily.” – Phil Pringle, http://www.youtube.com/watch?&v=uwNignarJCg, Presence Conference 2011.

From the above quotes, what can we ascertain from Pringle’s own words?

1. CHC has to “raise seven million dollars for members of staff and others to travel”. Why?

2. Pringle knows that for Kong Hee “To fight the case he has had to employ a legal firm” that cost “nearly a million dollars each time they come”.

3. Pringle acknowledges that “There’s been new legislation passed on the use of commercial spaces in Singapore since this case has come. So the… restriction on his church is severe “.

4. Pringle concludes that the financial issues Kong Hee faces, ” have prohibited him from asking his own congregation for any help” and that he “cannot use any of his own church funds”.

5. Pringle notes that, “Others have moved to help them in other countries” and that he would like people at the Presence Conference to financially “be friends to these people in one of their darkest hours”.

What “moved others” from “other countries” to support Kong Hee? According to Pringle, it is because:

1. He has “made a commitment to be [at CHC] once every two weeks”. And when Pringle is at CHC, he says Kong Hee is “able to travel and preach and find support amongst Asia and other churches”.

Last year Pringle also stated:

“I was in Singapore last week ah- folks with our good friends Kong and Sun Hee, although they are very rarely there when I am speaking because it gives them a chance to get out amongst the Asian community or various parts around the world and share in churches their burden ‘n what they’re facing and keep support happening and maintain a healthier relationship and communion with the wider body. And so that’s part of the reason why I am able to go there and uh- and they’ve just had ah- one really interesting breakthrough in this last week where the Commission of Charities (that’s the organisation overseeing charities in Singapore) has exonerated Sun from all ah- all charges against her so-“

Once again Pringle reinforces that:

1. When he is over at Kong Hee’s church it “gives them a chance to get out amongst the Asian community or various parts around the world and share in churches their burden ‘n what they’re facing and keep support happening and maintain a healthier relationship and communion with the wider body”.

The audio provided here clearly demonstrates that Phil Pringle has been allowing Kong Hee to use his C3 Presence Conference to solicit support in bearing his financial “burden” through by giving their “support”.

AN EXAMPLE OF KONG SHARING HIS “BURDEN” AND GETTING “SUPPORT”

To confirm that Kong Hee is gaining “support” from churches outside of Singapore, we can examine him “sharing his burden” and gaining “support” from those who attended Phil Pringle’s Presence Conferences.

In 2012, Kong Hee prayed the following on the first night at Presence Conference 2012 (not the opening night):

“Father I just pray even right now from the front to the back, from the left to the right, that tonight you move in a great way. Lord you know that it’s been a tiring time for the last twenty three months. For every step of the way, you’ve been with me, you’ve been with us. And Lord for all that C3 has poured into City Harvest Church, I pray that you multiply back to them, every church –every leader, thirty fold, sixty fold, a hundred fold for your glory we pray. Amen.” – Kong Hee, Presence Conference 2012, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zeIYljvQ0G0: 18:11, Day 1.

In this prayer, Kong Hee acknowledges that “C3 has poured into City Harvest Church”. By ‘poured’ he means ‘financially poured’. If you are not familiar with the term “thirty fold, sixty fold, a hundred fold”, it is Word of Faith terminology that usually means financial multiplication. The idea is that if you give financially, God will multiply your returns supernaturally. The unusual thing about this prayer is that Kong Hee said C3 poured money into City Harvest Church. But it was Pringle in 2011 that asked everyone at his Conference to give cash directly to Kong Hee and Sun Ho:

“Alrighty. Can I ask you to find your seats again? Is that alright? If you can just return to your seats. I want to let you know about a couple of things.

I’m wondering if- thank you Kari. I’m wondering if i can do something that ah- we don’t do here normally. (And I’ve only got about five minutes because the buses are leaving at ten o’clock.)

I’m wondering, as I was sitting there just wrestling with a thought, because I really ah, appreciate everybody here and their sacrifice in getting here. But I’m feeling like I just would like us to show love in a very real and a practical way for Kong and Sun.

So I’m just going to ask this question. If you would like to help them financially then we’re going to pass the container one more time here. I don’t want you to feel that you have to. I don’t want you to feel that there’s any great drive for this on you at all.

But I just feel that maybe some of you who would like to do this. We normally don’t receive offerings for preachers because it’s a very big conference and it’s a- and we build it into our overall thinking and budget to look after our speakers. But right now, if you need a card and you want to help these guys, just raise your hand.

You need to understand that they- I’m- I’m not quite sure I can say this, are they- are they- they’re gone? Okay. Umm…” – Presence Conference 2011.

Something is amiss with the content of Kong Hee’s prayer. Wasn’t Kong Hee supposed to receive the support directly? In 2011, Phil Pringle specifically asked people to give money directly to fund Kong Hee’s legal battles. It would appear that in 2012 Kong Hee’s prayer was acknowledging that he indeed received this personal financial support, while using his church as a safeguard to hide this fact.

It was at this same conference we also see Kong Hee share his “burden” in more detail.

This sermon not only had the above prayer, but is also is the very sermon that has caused controversy in Singapore where Kong Hee claimed that God apologised to him. This is why we believe some people are outraged with the latest information – they perceive that Kong Hee is distorting the severity of the case for his personal and financial gain. Here again is what Kong Hee said on the first night of Presence Conference 2012:

“And [God the Father] said, ‘My son, I’m so sorry that you need to go through this alone. But you need to die and you need to go through this to be the Saviour of the world!’ And God the Father had broken and He wept as He turned His face, when His son took the sin of the whole world.

I was saying all this and I’m hearing myself behind the pulpit- and I froze. I could not utter another word. And I sobbed and I shook. Because those were my exact sentiments.

“Father, Father! Why? My God! My God! Why have you forsaken me and thrown me to the dogs?”

And for the first time in eight months, I heard the voice. It is not the voice of a strict angry judge that only want me to perform and build a big church and nothing I do is ever good enough for him. No. It’s not a voice of angry judge. It’s not the voice of a slave driver. That just wants to take and take and wring me dry. But it was a voice of a tender, loving, broken-hearted Father.

For the first time in eight months, God – I heard Him crying. And He said, “My son, Kong, thank you! Thank you for going through this. I need you to go through this alone so that you and City Harvest Church can be the man and the ministry I call it to be. I’m so sorry. But you need to go through with this by yourself, to bring a change to your generation”.

Oh come on! Give the Lord a big hand tonight!

I hear God saying for the first time in eight months, “I love you! I love you! I love you!” Waves upon waves of God’s love- the love of the Father, just, saturated me. All I could say was, “Abba! Abba!! AABBAAAA!!! Daddy! ABBA!!!” And I knew, everything was going to be, alright.

Everything was going to be alright.” – Kong Hee, http://www.youtube.com/watch?&v=FKVSXfjhB14, Presence Conference 2012, Night Service, 11/04/2012.

As you can see, you are hearing a very one-sided and propaganda-like presentation of Kong Hee’s situation.

So we are seeing that what Pringle has said about Kong Hee appears be true. Phil Pringle’s Presence Conference was a place Kong Hee felt safe enough to “share… their burden ‘n what they’re facing and keep support happening”. And guess what? Kong can say whatever he wants to whoever he wants… and get away with it. How would Singapore know what his agenda is when he speaks at churches in other countries? Who can keep him accountable for what he says around the world, away from the Singaporean judicial system?

THE FRAUDULENT BEHAVIOUR CONTINUES

In light of the legal investigations underway at the times and the court case, it is scandalous of Pringle to invite Kong Hee to speak at Presence Conference from 2010 to 2013, . Pringle persisted in giving Kong Hee the floor to present his propaganda-like stories, designed to raise financial support for his legal expenses, yet disguised as sermons. Not once did Phil Pringle or Kong Hee give an accurate account as to why Kong Hee was under investigation or why Kong Hee is currently in court. Why is the media failing to expose Phil Pringle and Kong Hee’s fraudulent behaviour in financially misleading thousands of people at these events?

Last year at City Harvest Church, Phil Pringle made a video showing a number of pastors who chose to lend their support to Kong Hee. Kong Hee spoke at Ed Young’s church in 2011.

We’ve also covered Kong Hee speaking recently at Victory Life Centre, providing a very one-sided story of his case back in Singapore:

The Kong job continues (What is Victory Life Centre trying to hide?)

Kong also spoke recently at Ed Young’s C3 2013 Conference:

Kong Hee, Singapore Megachurch Pastor Arrested for Fraud, Visits Ed Young’s C3 2013

Did Kong Hee get love offerings from these churches after spreading more propaganda about his plight against the Singaporean government? Why are pastors like John Bevere, Mark Conner, Casey Treat, David Yonggi Cho and many more allowing Kong Hee to mislead their churches about his case? Were they misled and groomed to financially support Kong Hee’s lawyers as we saw at Presence Conference? Are these the churches that Pringle was alluding to when he said that “others have moved to help them in other countries”?

Leaders like John Bevere, Yonggi Cho, Casey Treat and Ed Young have already been exposed as false Christian teachers. Is it any wonder they would support someone like Kong Hee? Are we seeing a banding of false teachers, each being only accountable to their inner circle rather than the body of Christ?

This scandal needs to be addressed by the universal body of Christ. How far are men like Phil Pringle and Kong Hee allowed to go with this ungodly, manipulative behaviour before the true church starts dealing with such wolves?

Sun Ho Hopes She Is The First “Asian crossover artist to come into the United States”

PR.com had the following interview with Sun Ho.

Sun Rising – Asia’s Pop Music Princess, Sun Ho, Prepares to Conquer America

I first met Asian mega recording artist, Sun, at photographer Patrick McMullan’s birthday party in Southampton in August. She was the guest of honor and doing press to promote her impending crossover into English music. Her first crossover effort to debut in early 2007 will be a single called “China Wine,” a duet with Wyclef Jean and written and produced by Wyclef Jean.

Sun, whose full name is Ho Yeow Sun or Sun Ho as they call her in some countries, began her career as a counselor and social worker of sorts and was discovered in her native Singapore while singing to clients as a form of therapy. She was offered a recording contract on the spot and has since taken the entire region by storm with a multi platinum recording career that has swept across Asia. Sun has become not only a music superstar in her part of the world, but a fashion icon as well whose every look is mimicked by millions of fans. This led to four clothing boutiques in Singapore and the exclusive rights to distribute the Los Angeles based clothing label, Ed Hardy, for which she is also their Asian spokesperson. Adding an unusual twist to her career, Sun keeps up with her counseling responsibilities, counseling people who are in need and referred to her from wherever she happens to be traveling.

When we spoke, she had just arrived in Las Vegas from New York and was on her way to Singapore, then to Beijing and finally Tokyo. All the while I marveled at the schedules that some of these people keep and became exhausted just listening to it. However, I was excited to be speaking with a woman who will likely pioneer a new cultural invasion of music into the United States, an Asian flavor, similar to the Latin music boom of the late nineties.

PR.com (Allison Kugel): I’ve been listening to your single, “Gone.” I got the CD at your party, and I love it!

Sun Ho: Thank you. How do you feel about it compared to “Without Love?” Do you feel like it’s better?

PR.com: The first version of “Gone” that I listened to was one of the dance mixes, before I heard the ballad. It has a bit of a different sound. It’s very beautiful and even though it’s about losing someone, it’s actually kind of an uplifting song in a strange way. The tone of your voice is very soothing.

Sun Ho: I wish to do that through my voice and my music. Everybody goes through that (losing someone), so…

PR.com: I noticed that you have a huge fan base in Asia and in other parts of the world and now for the last few years, you’ve been crossing over into English language music and breaking into the U.S. and you seem to be doing it through the dance charts rather then the pop charts. Was that something that was deliberate, to do dance music?

Sun Ho: I think personally, I enjoy dance music a lot. Actually, people ask me, what is my music style? I think it’s um… I really appreciate Madonna for bringing back the dance music recently. I would say that my music is very eclectic; so when Justin, my manager, and Tas and the whole team suggested that maybe I should work on the dance music first, I was very much for it. It’s kind of planned but it suits me perfectly, because I love it and I feel like it represents me very well at the same time.

PR.com: You have a very interesting story, because you started off… you went to Bible College and you became a pastor… did you found the church that you currently run?

Sun Ho: (Laughs) Actually, no. I’m not a pastor, pastor. I’m a counselor. I work voluntarily in the church of an organization. I am very passionate in working with kids. So that is what I was doing. And actually how I was found by the record executive was I was in Taiwan counseling these people and usually I use music at the same time when I meet up with them because I really love singing. So he heard my singing and then he came to me and he thought that I could make it as a singer and asked me, was I interested? And everything else was history after that. So, I’m not, like, a preacher.

PR.com: (Laughs) Ok. I’m reading all this stuff about you and there’s a church called City Harvest in Singapore…

Sun Ho: Yes, that’s the church I’m affiliated [with].

PR.com: And I read that when you are touring the world, you try to email or text message people to give them counseling in between concert gigs? How does that work?

Sun Ho: These are the people that I counsel, because I feel like I can’t just stop. I used to be able to counsel eight people a day, but since I started my singing career, it was cut majorly to maybe one person in two or three months. And the organization, they don’t refer anyone to me unless they feel like this is a case that I really have to take. When I take a case, it doesn’t matter where I am. I will text message them or call them just to make sure that I’m there for them when they need me.

PR.com: It’s an interesting combination of careers.

Sun Ho: I know! But I just feel like I really love people and I can’t stop. I love the idea that, actually being a singer now, because they know my background. Like, in Asia, I go to radio stations and I do counseling live. And magazines, they give me columns. I write columns, where I give people advice… so I love doing that too, but I still love the one on one. Whenever I can do it, I still do as much as I can.

PR.com: And you didn’t grow up Christian, correct?

Sun Ho: No I didn’t. I come from a Buddhist family…

PR.com: What made you decide to become Christian?

Sun Ho: Actually, when I was sixteen, I kind of went through a period, maybe like Christina Aguilera, I was really searching myself… for love and stuff… I was kind of messed up emotionally… it was these volunteer workers that actually helped me and counseled me and brought a major change in my life. They gave me great values that I can anchor my life to, so after that, at the University and so on, I took up counseling.

PR.com: And you’re married and you have a little boy, right?

Sun Ho: Yes, I have a little boy, Dayen. Dayen is with me. He travels with me. Actually, he’s running a fever now. I just brought him to the hospital last night because it was like 104 degrees [temperature].

PR.com: So they were in New York with you and now Vegas and then you’re all going back to Singapore?

Sun Ho: Exactly, and then from Singapore we are going to Beijing and then to Tokyo and then to fashion week also… in thirty eight days.

PR.com: How do you stay balanced and how do you manage to be constantly on airplanes and constantly traveling from city to city and country to country? Does it ever take a toll on you or make you feel anxious or disconnected from your home base?

Sun Ho: It does actually affect me, and then when Dayen is sick, I get really distraught. But I think I stay balanced by being focused, like positive self-talk and I surround myself with good friends. Some of them travel with me, like my nanny is someone who I grew up with. They always remind me that I am doing what I love. I really love what I’m doing. I just have to work hard… you know, like everybody else. So the times that I get really down, I hit the gym and I chill out with my friends and they talk to me.

PR.com: I need to get that, because I know the gym is a great de-stressor and I just don’t have the discipline for it.

Sun Ho: I know. It’s so hard. Even for me. I love exercising, but traveling from one place to another, it’s so hard. But it really works. When I drag my butt out of bed, it works for me (Laughs).

PR.com: Are you touring right now, promoting your crossover music?

Sun Ho: We haven’t really started to promote yet. I’m really looking forward to starting it. Especially when Wyclef [Jean] is ready with the album. We co-wrote a song together for my album and he feels like he wants to add the magic to it, which I’m really, really excited about!

PR.com: And this is for your debut English language album?

Sun Ho: Yes. We’re talking about launching it the first quarter of next year (2007), so I would think that the touring and everything would start maybe in December of this year. Now I’m still finishing with the promotion of my Chinese album. I have to go to Beijing to do the promotion. I just finished Southeast Asia.

PR.com: With your English language album that’s coming out in the beginning of 2007, tell me about some of the producers you’re working with. Tell me about the song you co-wrote with Wyclef Jean and tell me what we can expect with your crossover album…

Sun Ho: I’m really excited about this album, because I feel like it really represents me even though it’s in English. Like, the first time I went into the studio to meet with Wyclef Jean, I was actually a little bit nervous, because these are people that I really admire and that I think are so talented. Finally I’m meeting them and getting a chance to work with them and to write with them. Wyclef was so amazing! He would pick up his guitar and we started just writing the song and we call it “China Wine.” I always feel like America has so many fantastic artists, and why do they need another singer? But I feel like… I do good music! I want to bring that Asian touch to it. I just feel like America is a melting pot for different cultures and styles and music. And Americans are always so ready for something that’s different. Even though I’m singing in English, I just feel like that touch is going to be different. So Wyclef [Jean] totally understands that and in “China Wine” you will actually hear me singing in English and actually in Chinese too, at the same time. So it’s going to be really interesting, and he was learning Mandarin too, with me and really having fun. And I was dancing during “China Wine” in the studio, and he started dancing too. I’m really looking forward to how it will actually affect the audience and of course working with Diane Warren. Her ballads blow me away. She wrote two songs for me called “What Kind of World?” and “One Day You Will.”

PR.com: You’ve done a lot with Asian MTV. Are you planning to do music videos for MTV in the United States?

Sun Ho: I can’t wait for that! I keep asking, “When are we going to shoot for MTV?” Recently I watched Justin Timberlake and I watched Christina Aguilera, and Beyonce’s. I would have to say that it’s different from what we do in Asia. I keep telling Tas (her manager) “Tas, you’ve gotta prepare me for that! I have to be more sexy!!” (Laughs)
I want to work with the choreographer to come up with “China Wine” dance steps and stuff. Seriously, I can’t wait to grow in America and I can’t wait for people to see me and [tell me] how they feel about my music. I feel like this is the only way an artist can grow.

PR.com: Over the last several years there’s been a Latin music explosion in the United States. Is that something you are looking to model your career path after, but with Asian culture?

Sun Ho: Yeah. Someone like Shakira… I followed her from day one, when she did the crossover [into English language music] and now with “Hips Don’t Lie” and she’s doing so well. I really hope that I’ll be able to do that. To me, it’s just that growing process. Personally, it’s normal because English is our medium of education [in Singapore]. So I listen to a lot of American music and female musicians especially like Kelly Clarkson, Madonna, Gwen Stefani, Christina Aguilera… these are people that I really love. For me to be able to be given that opportunity now, to learn, to grow, to follow in their footsteps, it’s just amazing to me. I feel like here in America, with the producers and the environment, it’s just going to bring me so much further, musically.

PR.com: Are you the very first Asian crossover artist to come into the United States?

Sun Ho: I hope so…

PR.com: Because I was just thinking, I don’t think that there ever has been another. I think that you are the first.

Sun Ho: That is what everybody is telling me… that this is like, the first of the Asian Invasion. They use that [phrase] and I really love it….

PR.com: I like that!

Sun Ho: Yeah, I love that! When they told me, I was like, “What? Say it again? Asian Invasion?!” In terms of the music industry, there isn’t any Asian presence at this moment. So if I could be the first one, I would love to do that.

PR.com: What does it feel like to be so mega famous in one part of the world and then to come to the United States and be up and coming? Is it surreal to be an icon in one place and then less known in another place as you travel around the world?

Sun Ho: To me, it’s all about the music. I just have to stay focused. I look at the long term and I totally am enjoying my working experience. I just feel like, “What the heck?” You just have to make the plunge when given the chance. So I’m making that plunge! I know that in no time they will know me. But sometimes, when I look at it, it’s kind of fun to walk the street where people don’t know you. It’s a kind of freedom…

PR.com: Right, that’s what I’m saying, because you may only have that freedom for a small window of time. For now, you can escape that. You can come here and walk down the street. It must be a strange feeling that in one place you can’t, and in another place you can. But yet you’re the same person. You know what I mean? You’re still you, but you’re in one environment and people are going nuts and then you’re in another environment and… you know what I mean? That must be strange!

Sun Ho: It is strange but it’s interesting and refreshing at the same time.

PR.com: I went to your official website and I was listening to your music in Chinese, and I finally understood why people in other countries don’t mind going to a concert for an American artist, even if they don’t necessarily know the words. Listening to your music, obviously I don’t know one word of Chinese, but the music was very enjoyable, regardless. You can feel the emotion.

Sun Ho: You must come to Asia when I have a concert. It’s kind of fun… my Chinese concerts.

PR.com: You know what I think would be really cool? Are you planning to put one Chinese ballad on your English album?

Sun Ho: Wow, I have never thought of that! I think it would be amazing! Do you think the people will love it??

PR.com: Yeah, because if you put one track that is in your native language, I think that could be really beautiful. You’re just sharing a part of your culture with your English speaking fans. So 99% of the album is in English and then you have this one song that’s like “Ok, I want to share this with you.” I think that that would be really cool.

Sun Ho: I would love to do that! Tas, are you listening? (To her manager)

PR.com: And the four clothing boutiques that you own in Asia, where are they located?

Sun Ho: They’re in Singapore. I have an Ed Hardy flagship store and then three other boutiques that are multi label. I bring down True Religion, Antique Denim… all the L.A. designer brands. When I started coming [to the United States] I got hooked up with these designers and they wanted me to bring their stuff to Asia, so I started doing that. And we talked about starting some boutiques in Indonesia and Malaysia too. But I just have to have the time. So I just kind of started in Singapore first.

PR.com: Some of these designers like Ed Hardy and True Religion, they wanted you to help them get their name out or make their product popular in Asia, and so that’s what they did?

Sun Ho: Yeah…

PR.com: So what kind of arrangement do you have with Ed Hardy?

Sun Ho: I have the exclusive rights and I’m also the distributor for Ed Hardy for Singapore and a big part of Asia. In Asia, I’m also very well known for my fashion, so whatever I wear, the fans and the industry are very interested. So when I started telling the reporters in Asia that I found this line and I think it’s really cool… it’s very L.A. street with a touch of glam… they started writing about it and then we had a huge fashion show. The brand just instantly overnight, became very famous. But of course it’s a good brand and it’s a famous brand in L.A. too, so it’s not difficult to do that. In Asia it’s really famous and all the celebrities and everyone just come to the store to buy, and stuff.

PR.com: Well, Ed Hardy was smart. They hooked up with you and they knew you could get the word out.

Sun Ho: I think so. (Laughs) And Christian Audigier (designer of Ed Hardy Clothes) is fantastic. He is really smart. He is very creative with his work and he has done very good for this season, but I think as a businessman he is really smart too.

PR.com: Do you ever wear the shirts that have the tattooed sleeves?

Sun Ho: Yes! Oh I tell you, the first time I wore it in Asia, they kind of freaked out because, in China, they call me the “Ambassador of Love” because I have done so much work among the youth and the children. So when they spotted the tattoos all over my arms, they freaked out! They were like, “What?! You have tatties?!” I said, “No, don’t worry. This is just a T-shirt.” But from a far, it just looks so real, as if you have tattoos all over your arms. It’s kind of skin color, so when you’re wearing it, people can’t really see that you’re wearing it, so it really looks like you have tattoos all over your arms. But in Asia they love it. It’s my best seller! It’s for people who love tattoos but who wouldn’t want to take the risk of having a permanent one.

PR.com: Do you have any tattoos?

Sun Ho: No. I’ve been thinking about it, but I still haven’t really done it yet. But I have friends who love tattoos and they have it all over their body. I love tattoos, but it’s kind of a big commitment. It’s something that you can’t erase.

PR.com: The best way to do it is to get a tattoo that commemorates something special in your life and then you can’t really regret it because it reminds you of a memory. You don’t want to get, like, Mickey Mouse or something. You know what I mean? (Laughs)

Sun Ho: (Laughs) Yeah.

PR.com: Is Sun your birth name?

Sun Ho: Sun is my first name and Ho is my last name. I’m Sun Ho. (Laughs) We call it surname or family name, not last name.

PR.com: How’d you learn to speak English?

Sun Ho: In school. In Singapore we learned all the different subjects in English. We understand and speak English pretty well.

PR.com: Do you ever plan to move to the United States or will Singapore remain home?

Sun Ho: My family is in Singapore, like my dad and mom. I don’t think they would ever move here. But I don’t know. Where is my home now? (Laughs) I travel so much. Like, this year alone, I’m just home for less then ten weeks, of the fifty two weeks of the year. We were talking about buying a property in L.A. because I’m here so much now.

PR.com: Which do you prefer, being in the studio recording music or when you’re performing live onstage?

Sun Ho: They’re so different. I love both. I think in the studio are the times I grow and I try out new things and I learn from the producers and we bounce off each other and be creative. I really love that part of it, but, you know on stage is a different thing. It’s the energy and seeing the people loving your music and grooving to it. I love that side of it. Sometimes I just stand on stage and looking at those people singing along. In Asia, when they like you, they actually memorize your songs, your lyrics from the first word to the last word. And I love your idea. Seriously, if you see a Chinese song on my album, you know that idea came from you. It’s such a great idea.

PR.com: I’ll tell you something, a lot of Latin artists do it. And you’ll be the first major crossover artist from Asia to do it, and this will give you a chance… you’re basically the ambassador for your culture, in the United States. If you can take this and it becomes a pop culture phenomenon, that’s something that… you’ll be the first to have created it in the United States and made people familiar with it. It’s something that you can share in a really big way.

Sun Ho: I’m standing here and I have goose bumps.

Kong Hee Is Not About “Building Buildings” But “Building People”? Really?

In July, the Straits Times reported the following,

City Harvest Church founder Kong Hee preached to crowds at the weekend as his embattled organisation moved back into its Suntec premises following a year-long revamp.

Worshippers packed the 7,305-seat auditorium as Kong – who is at the centre of a major corruption probe – gave a sermon titled A House On Fire.

“We’re not building buildings but building people,” he told the congregation during the 21/2-hour service last Saturday.

The church’s return to the Suntec Singapore convention centre – which it part-owns – means it finally has a permanent home after 25 unsuccessful attempts to secure a new set of premises.

Source: City Harvest Church returns to Suntec premises after revamp, Straits Times, http://www.straitstimes.com/breaking-news/singapore/story/city-harvest-church-returns-suntec-premises-after-revamp-20130708, Published on Jul 08, 2013, 10:05 AM. (Accessed 20/07/2013.)

So Kong Hee thinks he’s “not building buildings but building people”? Really Kong?

Here is Kong Hee a few years ago flogging his congregation to give to the CHC building fund. In this video, Kong revealed that the unemployed, retirees and students were giving money to the building fund. He also says, “An equal amount, an equal sacrifice. You give your best. You give until your heart is broken. You give until tears stream down your eyes”.

An equal amount, an equal sacrifice? You give your best? Why does this sound familiar? Does this not sound like Phil Pringle’s own money grubby ‘Vision Builders’ campaign?

“Remember, the philosophy of Vision Builders is equal sacrifice not equal giving.”

In C3’s own Vision Builders pamphlets they not only encourage a similar philosophy but also instruct those in out of control debt to do the following,

“If you are in ‘out of control debt’, after your tithe the debt should be your next priority. Reducing the debt to a manageable amount
(or even clearing it completely) should be attempted as you also make a manageable gift to Vision Builders. Remember no amount
is insignificant.” – Vision Builders 2012, http://www2.myc3church.net/sites/default/files/VISION-BUILDERS-BROCHURE.pdf, pg. 10.

Once again, Kong Hee is proving that, “Pastor Phil has been there for me; praying with me; encouraging me; discipling me; telling me how to do the work of the ministry; taught me how to collect an offering; how to give an altar call; how to build a church; build a team”. In the public eye, both unashamedly and ruthlessly exploit people for financial gain with their similar fleece-a-thon campaigns. The difference between Phil Pringle and Kong Hee is that Kong seems to be more ruthless than Pringle.

Kong Hee below says , “And Chwung, have to eat into their reserve. Literally- I mean just the medical bills alone could really sink an ordinary person. But yet this year, Chwung is pledging twenty thousand dollars to the building fund, when he’s having a challenging time in his finances…”

Kong Hee said in the below video, “Nick and Connie sold their five room flat and downgraded to a three room apartment just so they could give twenty thousand dollars to the building fund! I mean, where do you hear people like that? I mean, people who are willing to sell their house and downgrade to build God a great house”.

Good question Kong. Where do you hear of people like that? Clearly you and your are wife aren’t suckers to the false things you say.

While people were selling their expensive flats or forsaking their own medication at their own expense to give to Kong Hee’s building fund,  Pastor Kong Hee’s wife Sun Ho was supposedly using those building fund expenses to flaunt her lavish Hollywood lifestyle. Not to only that, Sun Ho also renting out a Hollywood Mansion for $28,000 a month. Why wasn’t she forsaking this lifestyle to build God’s house?

For Kong Hee to say that he is not about building buildings but building people is dishonest. This is doublespeak. What the Straits Times did unknowingly was expose how again Kong Hee used the pulpit to preach his selfish propaganda. No pastor can carry integrity if he speaks with a forked tongue behind the pulpit.

When will integrity return to the CHC pulpit?

HOW KONG HEE IS GAINING FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR HIS LEGAL DEFENSE

We find the City Harvest Church scandal perplexing. Why are Singaporean authorities allowing Kong Hee to leave Singapore to resume ‘pastoral’ duties? This article will be examining how both Kong Hee and his Advisory Pastor Phil Pringle have been using churches outside Singapore to financially support Kong Hee’s legal battles.

We have been analysing Phil Pringle’s Presence Conferences and what Phil Pringle has been teaching us about Kong Hee’s circumstances.

Thanks to Phil Pringle, we have learnt how Kong Hee is gaining financial support for his legal battles. Earlier this year, Phil Pringle said the following:

Source: Phil Pringle, “Awakening — Part 1″ – Phil Pringle, http://www2.myc3church.net/videos/awakening-%E2%80%93-part-1-phil-pringle, Sunday 14th April 2013. (Accessed 15/04/2013.)

Why is Kong Hee leaving CHC to “share in churches their burden”? Why does he go to other churches to “keep support happening”? Why is Kong Hee heavily involved with Phil Pringle’s Presence Conferences? The answer is very simple.

Back in his 2011 Presence Conference, Phil Pringle prophesied over Kong Hee and then encouraged all the churches gathered to financially support Kong Hee. Not once was it explained to those who attended why he was under investigation. While encouraging people to give, take note what Pringle says,

If it costs Kong Hee and his team “nearly a million dollars each time they come” to speak at Presence Conference, can you imagine how much Kong Hee is receiving in love offerings? Remember that when Pringle preaches at CHC it allows Kong Hee “to travel and preach and find support amongst Asia and other churches”. So why does Kong Hee travel if it is so expensive? Why go speak at a church event like Phil Pringle’s conferences? What does Kong gain? Pringle answers this above when he says,

“There’s been new legislation passed on the use of commercial spaces in Singapore since this case has come. So the religio- the restriction on his church is severe, ah, in that area [inaudible] after their purchase, go into co-ownership with ah, SunTec.”

What is this new legislation? We can’t find any specific information on this. However Phil Pringle stated,

“His church is not allowed to pay one cent of his personal cost that he is incurring in this battle. He has to find it himself.”

Does it make sense now? If new Singaporean legislation has established that City Harvest Church cannot support Kong Hee’s legal battles, it explains why Phil Pringle is speaking in Singapore so often. It allows Kong Hee to gain financial support from different churches around the world. It explains why Kong Hee is invited back to speak at Phil Pringle’s Presence Conference.

And guess what? Kong can say whatever he wants to whoever he wants… and get away with it. How would Singapore know what his agenda is in other countries? Who would bother keeping him accountable to what he says around the world?

Well we have all the audio we need to prove that Phil Pringle has been allowing Kong Hee to use his C3 Presence Conference to financially support Kong Hee’s financial battles. To confirm that Kong Hee is in fact receiving financial support from Phil Pringle’s C3 Movement, Kong Hee prayed the following at Presence Conference 2012 on the first night (not the opening night):

If you are not familiar with the term “thirty fold, sixty fold, a hundred fold”, it is Word of Faith jargon that means financial multiplication. The idea is that if you give financially, god will multiply your returns supernaturally. The weird thing about this prayer is that Kong Hee said C3 poured money into City Harvest Church. Why does CHC need the cash? Doesn’t Kong need the cash?

While it is debatable if the money above went to CHC or to Kong Hee, the prayer above informs us that Kong Hee IS getting money out of C3 conferences for possibly his benefit. It could be debatable that the money above went to CHC or to himself.

Because Phil Pringle asked people to give money specifically to Kong Hee’s legal battles back in 2011, it is of our opinion that Kong Hee here in 2012 was acknowledging that he received this financial support, using his church as a safeguard rather than saying he received the financial support personally.

Furthermore, in this same sermon we also hear a very one-sided and propaganda-like presentation of Kong Hee’s situation. So we are seeing what Pringle has said about Kong Hee to be true. Phil Pringle’s Presence Conference was a place Kong Hee felt safe enough to “share… their burden ‘n what they’re facing and keep support happening”.

This sermon not only had the above prayer. This sermon is the very sermon that has caused controversy in Singapore where Kong Hee claimed that God apologised to him. This is why we believe some people are outraged with the latest snippet – they know Kong Hee is distorting the severity of the case for his personal and financial gain. Read again what Kong Hee said on the first night of Presence Conference 2012:

The absolute negligence of Pringle inviting Kong Hee to speak at Presence Conference from 2010 to 2012 was scandalous. He gave Kong Hee the floor to present his propaganda-like stories diguised as sermons. Furthermore, Kong encouraged people in the 2012 Presence Conference to empty their bank accounts so God can financially bless Christians. Not once did Phil Pringle or Kong Hee give an accurate account as to why he was under investigations or why he was facing charges. Why Kong Hee and Phil Pringle are not under severe scrutiny by government watchdogs in Australia, we do not know. Why are they not being scrutinised for misleading thousands of people at these events? Would they be giving Kong Hee financial support or emptying their bank accounts at Kong Hee’s command if they knew the severity of the investigations?

The negligence continued when Phil Pringle allowed Kong Hee to speak at Presence Conference 2013. Recently Pringle asked ignorant Christians attending to once again give sacrificially to financially support Kong Hee’s legal case.

Here Phil Pringle said,

“I would like you just to take a card, an envelope if you’ve got one nearby. And if you’d like to participate in this, I’d like you to consider doing that. Whatever you can do it would be helpful, I know, to them. This will all go completely to Pastor Kong to help with his- costs. He has to pay this week $680,000 I think it is, for his legal fees. He’s covering his whole team’s fees. They have to mount a vigorous defense over three years. Those numbers weigh heavily on- on a person and they have prohibited him from asking his own congregation for any help.

He can not use any of his own church funds. They’ve sold there- they sold the unit they were in. Others have moved to help them in other countries and I would like to think that we can be friends to these people in one of their darkest hours.” – Phil Pringle, http://www.youtube.com/watch? &v=2g-BB9BF7xk , Presence Conference 2013.

The picture again presented is that new Singapore legislation will not allow Kong Hee to use “any of his own church funds”. Instead, just like what was occurring in Phil Pringle’s C3 Presence Conferences, it appears that other churches “have moved to help them [Kong Hee and Sun Ho] in other countries”.

Since Phil Pringle made a video where a number of pastors decided to support Kong Hee, we are starting to see that deeper controversies are growing in this scandal and expanding across the globe. We also observed that Kong Hee spoke at Ed Young’s church in 2011.

proof_exc3ed2011_konghee_08-08-13

Kong also spoke recently at Ed Young’es C3 2013 Conference.

Kong Hee, Singapore Megachurch Pastor Arrested for Fraud, Visits Ed Young’s C3 2013

Did Kong Hee get love offerings from these churches after spreading more propaganda about his plight against the Singaporean government? Why are pastors like John Bevere, Mark Conner, Casey Treat, David Yonggi Cho and many more supporting an alleged crook? Are these the churches that Pringle was alluding to when he said that “Others have moved to help them in other countries”?

Men like John Bevere, Yonggi Cho, Casey Treat and Ed Young have already been exposed as false Christian teachers. Is it any wonder they would support someone like Kong Hee? Are we seeing a banding of false teachers being only accountable to their pack rather than the greater body of Christ?

This scandal needs to be addressed by the universal body of Christ. How far must men like Phil Pringle and Kong Hee go before the church starts dealing with these impostors in the church?

If you are still questioning if Kong Hee is a Word of Faith heretic, here is Kong at Presence Conference encouraging thousands of Christians to cast a “power of confession” on Steven Furtick to speak at City Harvest Church, Singapore.

We would like to remind our readers that this is not a Christian practice and must NOT be practiced.

Kong isn’t laughing. If you watch the clip, Kong is very determined to get Steven Furtick to speak at his church. The force is strong with the Kong.

We may be looking at doing an article on this if there are any questions as to why this is not a Christian practice.
